CLOUD COMPUTING

Cloud computing is a new technology which is introduced recently to store data, information of people around the world and even various handy applications over internet and remote servers. People do not have to install several software or access their files individually. Everything is done by this technology. Whats the advantage?... much more efficient and reliable computing due to centralized storage, memory, processing and bandwidth. Users can now access various tools and applications using web browser as if they are installed on their own system. For example, for using a pencil, you don t need to own an entire tree. !ll these email sites li"e gmail, yahoo etc. are based on cloud computing. #e share so many photos, videos and lin"s all over internet. $e it Faceboo", or"ut, twitter etc. !ll this is nothing but a part of cloud computing. %eneral trend shows that within a decade the ma&ority of personal and business computing will be 'nternet based. HISTORY 't all started in late () s when *ohn +cCarthy gave an idea that, why not publicize internet computing,-- .ne person said, /ya why not,0. !nother said, /1ure we can0. 2ence we got cloud computing. 2owever the term /cloud0 is first coined while having a conversation is some telecommunication company, who previously offered P3P 4point to

[Quick Facts : Ireland could create 20,000 jobs by rebranding itself a world leader in

$ow %oes It &or'( Cloud computing consists of several layers. Once you are wired, it is possible to share services and data within any one of the following layers.

They come under SaaS (software as a Service). As the name suggest, they deliver software as a service over internet. They truncate any need of any software to be installed individually. One good thing about these auto software is that

there is no need to worry about their updation or upgradation. !verything is handled online.

6he servers layer consists of computer hardware and software that are specifically designed for the cloud services, including very high speed processors, cloud?specific operating systems and other powerful and robust hardware to perform instant execution of services. The Outc !e $y running business applications over internet servers, companies are en&oying some serious c st "educt# n. 8o maintenance costs, 8o licensing costs and no cost of the hardware re9uired to run servers on?site. Furthermore, companies are able to run applications much ! 't is now li"ely to expand in !sia and @atin !merica. 1ome regions such as $razil, Poland, China, *apan, and 'ndia are believed to see an enormous amount of popularity. Cloud will prove to be popular in countries where s $t'a"e (#"ac& has proven to be an issue. Cloud computing is also more env#" n!enta%%& $"#end%& as it removes the need for high?power PCs and laptops. @ow?power computers having

processors such as 'ntelAs !tom are sufficient to run cloud applications. 6heir use will cut user s energy bills much as eighty percent. Perhaps most notable achievement when it comes to next generation applications, are enabling the rise of aug!ented "ea%#t&. 6his is where real?time cloud data is overlaid on the camera of a smartphone or other mobile device. For example, users of the /@ayar0 augmented reality browser can now see photos and tweets of 6witter users in their area, or dancing pizzas showing them where they might li"e to eat. Programming a mobile phone or a robot to recognize everything is very difficult if one relies on internal data and processing power. 2owever, a phone or robot with access to cloud resources including video feeds from other nearby cameras will be in a far better position to usefully ma"e sense of the world around it. !long with augmented reality, the development of a"t#$#c#a% #nte%%#gence is li"ely to be a very strong outcome for the mass adoption of cloud computing. 1o go ahead and chec" out some cool and awesome cloud apps to get a much better view of the power of cloud computing. +a"e a carrier in cloud computing as this is the future of technology.
