Our verse-by-verse study through the bible continues today in 1 Corinthians Chapter 1. The text
for this passage can be found at the bottom of this document.

#LifeLesson - Christianity is all about Jesus Christ. (v.9)

2 Tim 2:13 If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself. NKJV (v.9)

1 Cor 1:9 God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into
partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. (v.9)

#LifeLesson-When we come together we create problems. When we work

together to solve them we become stronger people and stronger in the Lord.
(v.10)
Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? NKJV (v.10)

Acts 18:24-28 // 24 Now a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man and
mighty in the Scriptures, came to Ephesus. 25 This man had been instructed in the way of the
Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things of the Lord, though
he knew only the baptism of John. 26 So he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When
Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more
accurately. 27 And when he desired to cross to Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples
to receive him; and when he arrived, he greatly helped those who had believed through grace; 28
for he vigorously refuted the Jews publicly, showing from the Scriptures that Jesus is the Christ.
NKJV (v.12)

#LifeLesson - Those who would teach must first be teachable. (v.12)

1 Cor 11:1 // Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. KJV (v.12)

1 Cor 11:1 // Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ. NKJV (v.12)

1 Cor 11:1 // And you should imitate me, just as I imitate Christ. NLT (v.12)

To live above, with saints we love,

will certainly be glory.
To live below, with saints we know,
Well, that's another story. (v.12)

Eph 4:3 // endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. NKJV (v.12)

Eph 4:1-4 Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your
calling, for you have been called by God. 2 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each
other, making allowance for each other's faults because of your love. 3 Make every effort to keep
yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. NLT (v.12)

#LifeLesson - Division hurts Jesus and the cause of Christ. (v.13)

Rom 10:9-10 // 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart
that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes
unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. NKJV (v.14)

Rom 10:13 For "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." NKJV (v.14)

Matt 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, NKJV (v.14)

Acts 18:8 Then Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his household.
And many of the Corinthians, hearing, believed and were baptized. NKJV (v.14)
John 4:1-2 Therefore, when the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and
baptized more disciples than John (though Jesus Himself did not baptize, but His disciples),
NKJV (v.14)

Grace and peace to you.

Thank you for joining us today. Have a blessed week.

Verses from today’s study:

(1 Corinthians 1:9 NKJV) - God [is] faithful, by whom you were called into the
fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

(1 Corinthians 1:10 NKJV) - Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our
Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and [that] there be no
divisions among you, but [that] you be perfectly joined together in the same mind
and in the same judgment.

(1 Corinthians 1:11 NKJV) - For it has been declared to me concerning you, my

brethren, by those of Chloe's [household], that there are contentions among you.

(1 Corinthians 1:12 NKJV) - Now I say this, that each of you says, "I am of Paul,"
or "I am of Apollos," or "I am of Cephas," or "I am of Christ."

(1 Corinthians 1:13 NKJV) - Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or
were you baptized in the name of Paul?

(1 Corinthians 1:14 NKJV) - I thank God that I baptized none of you except
Crispus and Gaius,
