Present Simple (I do) con significato futuro/with a future

meaning.
In questo caso ci riferiamo a orari, programmi (trasporti pubblici, cinema,
teatro, ecc.). We talk about timetables, programmes (public transport,
cinemas, theatres etc).

L’autobus parte da Milano alle 8 :00 e arriva a Roma alle 15 :30.

The bus leaves Madrid at 8:00 and arrives in Barcelona at 15:30.
Il film comincia alle 9:00 di sera.
The film starts at 10:30 in the evening.

Watch out. Fai attenzione.

Usiamo il Present Simple e non will / we use the Present Simple to refer
to the future (no will):

a. Nelle proposizioni avverbiali introdotte da after, before, when,

until (till), as soon as, while. In adverbial clauses introduced by
time conjunctions such as after, before, when, until (till), as soon
as, while.
Ti sentirai meglio dopo che avrai preso un’aspirina.
You’ll feel better after you take an aspirin.

Quando vedrai Rosy, dille di venire a trovarmi.

When you meet Rosy, tell her to come and see me.

b. Nelle proposizioni condizionali introdotte da if, unless, in case, provided.

In conditional clauses with if, unless, in case, provided.

Non verrò se Sarah non ci sarà.

I won’t come if Sarah isn’t there.

c. Nelle proposizioni introdotte da that e wh- quando sia la proposizione

principale che quella subordinate si riferiscono al futuro.
In that- and wh- clauses when both the main clause and the that-/wh-
clause refer to the future.

Vi farò sapere quando andrò via.

I’ll let you know when I leave.
