WLBC is handing out adult size Winter coats, hats, gloves, scarves & socks in Miller Park to the homeless. February 8 11am2pm NEED: thick gloves, thick hats, thick scarves, thick socks
Ask Patsy Leftwich (239-6286) how you can help at the park that day, as they will need help with loading up, setting up and serving hot meals.
Because of the health benefits of good nutrition (all our hot lunches are heart- & diabetes-friendly), Meals on Wheels keeps people out of nursing homes longer. Our program allows our recipients to remain somewhat independent in their own homes. A year of meals costs less than one day in the hospital. But it is more than just a meal...it is a connection with people who care. For many recipients, our volunteer is the only person they will see that day.
