Unit No. 1

IMMUNOLOGY and LTPC: 3 0 0 3 IMMUNOINFORMATICS 1.0.0 System Biology To introduce the concept of immune response in a mammalian host thereby emphasize their significance in innovation in developing therapeutic modalities for immunological disorders of humans using bioinformatics approach. The course outlines the basis of immune responses using bioinformatics methods. Also it describes use of bioinformatics tools and softwares to study the functions and importance of immune system in maintaining a healthy system. Number of hours: 9 Introduction to the Immune System
