We would like to thank our church family for your kindness and sympathy shown to us during the recent loss of Harveys mom. THE ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE for socks distributed by IMPACT volunteers at Volunteers of America last weekend is reason enough to serve those for whom winter is abusive, if not life threatening. The VOA Homeless Shelter provides daily meals that serve over 200 people for whom something as basic as a pair of clean dry socks is a critical need. IMPACT's Winter Warmth Project for February is gloves. The collection box is located on the shelf above the coatrack by the front door. Sign up for February service dates on the bulletin board near the restrooms or call Impact Coordinator, Linda Cabose at (517) 3212019. LIBERTY MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTION: Stay up-to-date with unfolding Bible prophecy, national & international current events, constitutional challenges and much more with a bi-monthly subscription to Liberty magazine. The subscription cost is $6.00. After you subscribe, you will receive 6 issues. If you are interested in a new or renewed subscription, please contact Sylvia Coleman in person or you may email your request to lansingreligiousliberty@gmail.com. SABBATH SCHOOL COUNCIL There will be a Sabbath School Council meeting on February 8. Plan to meet in the Junior Room during Fellowship Lunch.

SAVE THE DATE! Mark your calendar for February 12 & plan to attend a special screening of Forks over Knives at the Lansing SDA Church. This movie examines the profound claim that most, if not all, of the degenerative diseases that afflict us can be controlled, or even reversed, by rejecting animalbased and processed foods. Watch the bulletin for more information as the date gets closer. THE MARRIAGE COMMITMENT RETREAT is held March 7-9, 2014 at beautiful Camp Au Sable. The purpose of this weekend is for you and your spouse to get away and take some time to re-connect with each other and with God. There are five seminar sessions throughout the weekend, each one with topics designed to help strengthen your marriage. We provide lots of time for enjoying the natural beauty of the camp, and fellowshipping with other couples as you eat and worship together. We will have planned activities for Saturday night and then a special marriage re-commitment service on Sunday morning. This is a weekend that you wont want to miss. Make plans now to attend, and do something great for your marriage. To register, call Alyce at 517-316-1543. You can also download an application at misda.org (Family Ministries Department). ARE YOU A YOUNG ADULT OR YOUNG PROFESSIONAL? Are you interested in getting involved in our church's young adult ministry and helping it move forward? Come join us for Sabbath Lunch February 15 at the home of Aaron and Cassandra McNulty (3200 Inverary Dr, Lansing)! We will have good food and fellowship, pray about the direction of the ministry and plan for 2014. Children are welcome! Please call or email Cassandra McNulty at 989-996-1150 or cdpfuse@gmail.com with any questions. GREATER LANSING ADVENTIST SCHOOL will begin their annual "Penny War" on Monday. Students will be collecting pennies, coins, dollars and checks to bring to GLAS for the special giving project! This year the students would like to donate 10 sets of bee hives to families around the world. Our goal is to raise $1250. These hives will provide money for the families to have food, educate their children and receive medical care. If you would like to help with this project, contact a teacher or student and join the fun.
