Dracula Bram Stoker Chapter 1 The Road to Castle Dracula. This story begins seven years ago, Jonathan Harker, tell us about his sotry when he and his friends were in danger, by a monster called Dracula. Jonathan Harker was a lawyer, and he lived in in London, he was engaged with his fiance Mina. His work is find houses In England for rich people who lie in foreign countries, In 1875, he received a letter form a rich man form Transylvania, his name was Count Dracula. He needed to buy a house, in London an old house with a big garden, the price was not important, and Jonathan found one in the East of London. He wrote a letter to inform the Count, and the Count agreed to buy it. Jonathan said that he need to sign some papers, and the count invited him to Transylvania. Jonathan did not want to leave England because some few English people was in Transylvania, and he did not leave England before he was married with his fiance Mina. After that Mina convinced Jonathan to go, because he can have another works with the count. And Jonathan accepted the invitation. Mina gave him a book about Transylvania, and he read the book in the train. He reached in Bistritz in Transylvania, and he take the coach and went to an Inn. In the inn no one spoke English, but the inn keeper spoke German and he understood him, Jonathan ate and drank wine, and when he finished his meal, he answered about the Draculas Castle, but the innkeeper wasnt answered him. And Jonathan could see, that the people inside the inn, stop talking each other and now everyone was talking about Dracula, and he could hear the word vampire, and he remember see that word in the book, vampires are an immortal men who drink people bloods with his sharp and long teeth.

It was time to leave the inn and when Jonathan wen out the inn, the people stopped him and begged him not go to the castle, but he didnt hear them, and when he was in the coach the innkeeper came and gave a golden cross to protect him. He see a lot of the landscape, the mountains, the little rivers and he saw the sun began to go down and the sky was dark, and he could heard the howling of the wolves. When he arrived to Borgo Pass he switched to another coach pulled by 4 horses, and he arrived at Draculas castle. Chapter 2 A prisoner in the castle. When Jonathan finally arrived to Draculas castle, a tall man appeared, with his face so White and dressed in black, he was holding a lamp, Jonathan could see the Castle, there wasnt a single window with light. The man introduce himself as the Count Dracula, and welcome Jonathan, he took hold his arm and the two of them stepped inside, Jonathan could feel Draculas arm, so cold and strong, they went to a winding stairs and Jonathan saw two rooms, one of them was a bedroom and the other with a table inside. The count said that Jonathan must be hurry up, and return o eat, after a few minutes Jonathan went to eat, he was so hungry and the Count said he was already eat, after that, they sat together in the fire and start to talk about the howling wolves outside the castle. Jonathan saw Draculas eyes they were red because of the fire I think, but he also saw his long and sharp teeth, then Draculas said that Jonathan must be rest. Jonathan went to sleep but he couldnt , he had a nightmare. In the morning he woke up and saw it was so late in the morning, and noticed that in the other room he read a letter saying, the Count went out and he return late, Jonathan ate and went around the Castle, and he didnt see no one , later he found the Counts Library and start to read a lot of books about England. Then the night arrived and the Count too, and Jonathan said-You speak English very well- and the count respond These book are my friends to talk, but now I have you- and after that the Count asked for the papers to sign, he signed and the started to talk about the house in England, it was 22 km away from London and it was an old house, then Jonathan fall asleep, and he sat up suddenly, he could saw the Count leaning over him. And the Count said that its time to rest.

Jonathan couldnt sleep again and in the morning he tried to shave his beard with a shaving mirror, then the Count appeared suddenly behind him, he couldnt saw coming in the mirror, the Count throw away the mirror and went out. After that Jonathan went to eat his breakfast, and all day he was alone agin, he look for an exit but he couldnt find one, he was trapped in the castle. Chapter 3 The Vampires The time passed slowly and the papers were signed and every day Jonathan read a book and in the night he saw Dracula, every night Jonathan asked to leave, and The Count asked him more questions about England, but he smiled and not aswer. Jonathan could felt that the Count had a great power over him, and each day become more and more strong. Then one day he saw a room unlocked and he came inside and he lay down on a couch. He start to open his eyes and he saw three women, it was getting dark, and one of them said to another Go on, youre will be the first- and Jonathan couldnt move or said anything, the women had long and sharp teeth and the all look beautiful. The women moves toward him and she smiled and she leant over him, he felt her hair on his face and his lips touch his throat, and he was enchanted by them. Then suddenly the Count appeared, and pulled he woman away form he; he said-Hes mineAnd the other women said Youre cruel- and laughed You never been in love?, and Dracula respond Of course thats why youre here. After that Jonathan woke and saw the golden cross in the table, and he think he was fainted. After that the Count gave him three envelopes, and asked to write to Mina, it was 19th May, and the Count put the date 29th June, it was six weeks until that date and Jonathan afraid he never return to England. Then it was 29th June already and the Count said good bye to Jonathan, but nothing else and Jnathan was afraid and follow Dracula to his room, and he could see a window and he saw a stairway down the wall. Jonathan read the book about the vampires and find that the vampires hunting in the night and lost his powers in the day, thats why he never saw Dracula in the day.

Then he look Dracula return to his room and Jonathan climbed out the window and went to Draculas room, he think in the morning nothing probably happened. Then he saw a heap of golden coins, down the stairway and saw a lot of wooden boxes with earth inside and in a coffin he saw Dracula sleeping with his eyes open, after that he listen men coming and hide. They all were hammering the lid of the boxes and he think its time to escape, took a golden coins and climb down the window and moved slowly down to the wall. Chapter 4 A visit to Hythe Mina is in England waiting for Jonathan, she received his letters from Transylvania but they`re shorts and Mina start to worry. After that she received an invitation from his friend Lucy, her husband Arthur was in Amsterdam with his teacher the doctor Van Helsing, and she want her company, Mina went to her house in Hythe near to the sea, they spend the day together and sleep in the same room. One day the friends said something about a ship that stranded in the coast, and inside there as nothing, only wooden boxes with earth ,and the men could see a dog ran away from there. Lucy decided to look for the dog but they couldn`t find it, after that in the Night, Mina saw that Lucy wasn`t in her bed she walk asleep, she look in the street and went to and old Churchyard hoping Lucy will be there. And she find her and saw two red mark in his throat, and took Lucy to home, Lucy start to become paler and paler and Mina was worry for she because she walk outside asleep; after that Mina receive a Jonathan`s letter from Budapest, and with sadness leaves Lucy and went to Budapest, where the two of them were married. At their return to England, they saw Count Dracula, and Jonathan starts to worry, he decided to talk everything that happened in Transylvania, but suddenly Mina received a telegram form Lucy`s husband Arthur, and it said that Lucy is dead, Mina cries and they went to Lucy`s house.

Chapter 5 How Lucy died Arthur West came in to the house of Jonathan and Arthur and he as sad, he told how Lucy died, He return one week after Mina went to Budapest, and he saw very pale and call for Doctor van Helsing, he tell all about how Lucy walk asleep, and she became more weak, When Doctor Van Helsing Arrived, he made a blood transfusion and put a lot of garlic in the room, after that Lucy become better and better. One day Arthur had to see a sick child and when he return, saw Van Helsing sleep in the library and the room of Mina with the window open and the glass broken, after that he wake up the doctor and tried to help Mina, she tell that she hear a man calling she from out the window suddenly she become more and more paler and tried to kiss Arthur, but the Doctor pull him away, after that she open his eyes again she was died and Arthur cries. Jonathan and mina asked for the Doctor and Arthur told that he was return to Amsterdam the next day, but said if something happened to Lucy he will be back. Chapter 6 The Beautiful Lady of Hythe Jonathan and Mina read the newspaper and found an article about children who disappeared in the night and found them in the day with two marks in their throats, they tell about a Lady who smiled them and kissed them. Jonathan start to worry and send a telegram to Van Helsing, and he arrived to England, the thrre went to Arthru house to tell him about how Lucy is the responsible of the attacks, he didn`t believe them , but when Jonathan told about the Castle of Dracula, Arthur believe them. After that in the night they went to see Lucy`s coffin, and they found it empty, and they decided to wait she return. They saw she with blood in her teeth and she noticed Arthur and start to call him, he start to walk toward her, but Van Helsing ran and show the cross to the vampire, she start to be anger, and they went after her, Arthur Had to hammer the sharo stake in her hearth and Lucy was smiled and in peace, after that Jonathan and Van Helsing cut off her head, And Van helsing said- it`s time to find and kill Dracula.

Chapter 7 The house of The Vampire They decided to went to Dracula`s house, but Jonathan couldn`t remember where is it, So the doctor Van Helsing had to hypnotize him, and they could known where they have to go. They went out and had to leave Mina alone. They took the train to Parfleeze, they asked about an old man to the man in the station an he tell them that there was a house were some men led 50 boxes, the three went to that house, it was getting dark and they climb the wal and enter to the house by a broken window, after that they smelled the place and they could recognize as a blood smell. The found the boxes and Jonathan recognizes those because he saw the same in the castle. After that they open the boxes and put holy bread inside them, they work all night and in the dawn Van Helsing could see the Count is arriving, they escape left one box without holy bread. Dracula enter the house and scream, he attack Jonathan but Van helsing show the cross and Dracula, disappear, they took the train to London and hurry to see Mina. When Jonathan came in to the bedroom scream and the others joining him. They see Dracula and Mina, she was drinking his blood, and Dracula had her blood in his teeth, the count escape, but Mina start to cry, she known that she become a vampire. But she asked to Van Helsing to hypnotize her, so they that might know the plans of Dracula. The Doctor did it and they known that he was leaving London in the last bix, but until he wasn`t kill, Mina is became a vampire too, so they decided to find Dracula and kill him. Chapter 8 The Flight of the Vampire The three men agree to kiil Dracula, and went to the England port, to answer for a ship, and they found out that a ship called Queen Catherine was shipping to Varna, they knew that in the ship was Dracula because they heard that a mist cover the boat after it was shipping. They decide to go by train because it`s faster and they would be await for Dracula`s, but Mina couldn`t known about that, because Dracula have power over she.

But Mina asked to go with them she could be help, and known where is Dracula, when Van Helsing hypnotize her, but if he became a vampire they have to kill she. They reached Varna before the vampire, but in the port they known the Queen Catherine, will be arrived to Galatz, 200 km away from Varna. They decide to go to Galatz. Chapter 9 The Return to Castle Dracula The two men went to Galatz by horses, her path was up the River Seruth, and Mina and Van Helsing went by a carriage , the professor Van Helsing and Mina reached the Borgo Pass, they changed the horses and went to the castle Dracula, to put holy bread in Dracula`s Tomb. The night show up and Van Helsing stop the carriage and made fire put Mina inside a circle of holy bread, after that three women appeared and call Mina all night, but she couldn`t move outside the circle, the dawn came and the vampires left. After that Van Helsing saw the 4 horses dead, and he went to the Castle Dracula by himself , the snow was falling but he could came and saw the main door open, he was afraid Dracula was reached before, and he looked Dracula`s coffin, and put holy bread inside, after that he saw the toher 3 vampires sleep, and he hammered the sharp stake on their hearths, and cut off their heads. After he returned where Mina was, an they could saw the cart with the box with Dracula inside, they also saw Jonathan and Arthur in two horses behind the cart, and they reached the cart and fought with the driver, pushed the box to the snow. The sun was hiding, there was no time, they lay the Count on the snow and put the stake into Dracula`s hearth, he scream , and after that they cut off their heads, it`s all over Mina ran to Jonathan and now the years of blood were over. The End.
