Specifications/Instructions

Direct-coupled Damper Actuator (Voltage Input, Spring Return) MY7045A

General
MY7045A direct-coupled damper actuator is a motorized actuator to open and close dampers. If the power supply is interrupted, the return spring in the actuator moves the damper back to its safe position.

Features
Return-spring moves the damper back to its close

position if the power is off.

The voltage signal (2 to 10 V DC) controls the damper

openings.
Torque limit circuit enables the motor to stop

automatically when over-loaded.

Manual open/close function allows easy adjustment. Simple configuration facilitates installation on most

types of damper shafts.

Direction of rotation can be reversed by changing the

2 to 10V DC position feedback output available. The brushless DC motor provides stable

If the damper spindle is 20 mm to 90 mm long Set the hexagonal nut side of the damper bracket to the damper side before installation (refer to Fig. 7 to 9).

Installation
If the damper spindle is 90 mm or more long Run the damper spindle through the output spindle of the actuator and fasten it using the hexagonal nut. To prevent the actuator from wobbling, install the attached bracket on the duct to fasten the actuator (refer to Fig. 4 and 5).

Adjustment of maximum position

To set the angle up to 90 degrees to the maximum position, use the attached mechanical stopper. The stopper allows setting in 5-degree increments within the range of 30 to 90 degrees. 1) Set the mechanical stopper to the desired angle and install into the hollow of the output spindle. 2) Insert the attached tapping screw into the mechanical stopper and fasten to the actuator. The position where the tapping screw is inserted is one of the X marks (three locations) on the pointer label of the actuator.

Manual operation
Use the included hexagonal wrench to open and close the actuator (damper) and hold it in the desired position. Set the opening from close to open by inserting and turning the hexagonal wrench into the hexagonal hole on the top and bottom of the actuator. To lock the position, turn the wrench in the reverse direction immediately after the opening reaches the designated angle.
