Mechanical HVAC Engineer-Summer Intern Lake Oswego, OR, US

Candidate will perform routine engineering tasks, under close supervision, using welldefined standards and procedures requiring knowledge and application of basic HVAC/mechanical engineering principles. a! assist other engineers in the design and specif!ing of HVAC/mechanical equipment and s!stems for a specific pro"ect. #ome selection and application of established and specific procedures ma! be required b! the Candidate, including the use of computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. All work will be checked either in process or upon completion, and tasks will be of a routine and repetitive nature. Candidate will provide support to engineering staff members as needed and will include other various administrative duties. Training and Experience Candidate must be currentl! enrolled in at least their "unior !ear, of a $-!ear program, with an A%&' accredited universit! and a echanical &ngineering curriculum. Candidate should have an interest and college course outline specific to HVAC/mechanical s!stems for buildings and facilities. Active member of A#H(A&, including familiarit! of A#H(A&)s engineering design manuals and standards. *orking knowledge of the HVAC and echanical industr!, including elementar! HVAC heating/cooling load calculations, HVAC equipment, and ductwork/piping designs. Candidate should have working knowledge, e+perience or e+posure to other engineering and energ! software, such as 'rane 'race ,--, ./& 0, &1uest, or &nerg!2lus. Computer aided design and drafting 3CA..4 e+perience a plus, but not required, such as ACA.5 6. CA. s!stems, such as (evit, ACA. &2. 7% 2C literate, including working knowledge with icrosoft &+cel and *ord programs. #trong anal!tical, conceptual, communication and organi8ational skills, and the abilit! to effectivel! interface with all levels of personnel and management. Other Essential Functions Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights. If required, must be able to perform project site walks and climb ladders and stairs. No exposure to tobacco smoke. Other Requirements
