INTRODUCTION

I love the dreams of the future better than the history of the past. These where the words
of George Washington after he had led the Americans to gain independence from colonial rule
through a hard fought struggle. George Washington had a dream that the American people will
become a great nation and two hundred years down the line, it has become a reality.

Like George Washington, we all have dreams and it is our desire that they happen in our lives.
Dreams are things we hope for and want to happen very much. Dreams are doors to the
future. They are messages of hope of a bright future. They represent the kind of persons will
be in times to come. In fact, dreams are like persons although we do not see them physically
they are there. We can only see them mentally. They might not be tangible but they are there
in our minds occupying our thoughts or mental pictures. We may not see them; nevertheless,
their very existence is there. Who you would like to be in the future is your dream. We all want
to be wealthier, healthier, and successful than we are today. We envision ourselves to be great
people in the future and all of these are bottled up in our dreams. Therefore, our dreams take
up personalities and become alive. Dreams are potential persons.

Dreams are priceless and cannot be traded for anything else. They shape and add value to our
lives. They make us unique and special on this earth. No two people on this earth can have the
same kind of dream because they are different and possess different passions. Dreams can
change our ordinary lives into extraordinary ones so that we become a blessing to this world. A
man without a vision in life is worthless because he lacks direction and any road of life will lead
him anywhere. Dreams add value to ones’ life. Because, they become a blessing to us and not
only us but to our children as well. True vision outlasts the holder of the vision. Your vision
should not only bless you. It should also bless generations after you.

Dreams enable us to focus on maximizing our lives. We are able to focus on achieving our
goals for life. That is why we make the necessary sacrifices to see them come to pass.
Dreams are our destinations in life. And we must strive to bring them to pass. We must watch
out for the kind of people around us because they can influence us and are dreams. Mark

Twain once said, “Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small
people always do that, but really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.”
This statement points out the fact that people can really affect our lives positively or negatively
depending on how much we allow them to influence us.

In this book, we will study about Joseph whom like many of us had a dream. We will learn how
he was able to surmount every obstacle he faced in life so as to make his dream a reality. We
will study key facts that would be of help to us in understanding the potentials that are
contained in our dreams, visions, or goals that are hidden in us. We will get to know the
various kinds of people who can affect our dreams and how we should respond to them.

CHAPTER 1

2These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was
feeding the flock with his brethren; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and
with the sons of Zilpah, his father's wives: and Joseph brought unto his father
their evil report.
5And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him
yet the more.

Joseph, a young boy of seventeen, dreamed a dream. He had a glimpse of his future. He was
a young boy full of potentials. He had an assignment in life to fulfill. Joseph was destined for
greatness. But, his dream stirred up opposition from his family members. His brothers already
hated him because of the favor he received from his father. Now they hated him even the more
when he announced his dream.

A dream will always attract haters. A dream without one is not a dream. It is a fantasy.
Fantasies have no substance. They are exciting and unusual experience we imagine that will
never materialize. Fantasies never happen but dreams do. This is why they stirrup so much
attention from dream haters.

Every dream will face opposition. There would be barriers that will rise up against your dream.
People are going to hate you and conspire to kill your dream. They will mock at you. They are
going to make attempts to belittle you because to them you are incapable of becoming your
dream. Your dream comes along with greatness and society feels you are not worth what your
dream says you are. They have a fixed mindset that undermines your capability and makes
you feel cheap. Even Jesus experienced such opposition about who He was. His own people
could not easily believe that He was the Messiah because of the state of mind they had
towards him. However, their mindset did not change who Jesus was – The Messiah.

6:1And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his
disciples follow him.
2And when the Sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue:
and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man
these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such
mighty works are wrought by his hands?
3Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and
of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were

A point to note is that dream haters do not have to be distant from you. They can be your
family and friends just like in Joseph’s case. His brothers hated him and his father rebuked him
just because he had a dream.

5And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him
yet the more.
10And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and
said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother
and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?

Verse 23 of the same chapter shows how his brothers stripped him of his dignity.

And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stript
Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colours that was on him;

You must be prepared for a stripping in your life because every dreamer will experience this at
one point in time. An important process has to take place in order for one to fulfill his dream.
Like the eagle sheds off its’ feathers for new ones, it experiences a renewal of strength to fly to
greater heights. Dreamers need to shed of their old feathers and put on new ones to able to fly

with their dreams. Every dream you dream demands CHANGE. You cannot move with the
same old feathers. You cannot enter your destiny with the same frame of mind. You need to
change your attitude and habits. They really affect you and can influence the outcome of your
dream positively or negatively.

Dream killers think they are killing your dream. Joseph’s brothers thought they were burying
his God – given dream. They did not know they were aiding the process to its completion.
Dream killers unconsciously push you towards your destiny. They may think they are
separating you from your vision, actually, they are tying the two of you together. In verses 7
and 10, Satan thought by using his brothers he could send him far away from his destiny. He
tried using Potiphar’s wife to kill the Dreamer but rather propelled him to the gates of destiny.

7And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon
Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.
10And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened
not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.

Joseph eventually landed in prison after the incident with Potiphar’s wife. It seemed now all his
hopes of living up to his dream had dashed away. The prison did not look like the place where
something spectacular could happen. Yet, God used that place to prepare him for prominence.

21But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in
the sight of the keeper of the prison.
22And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that
were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it.
23The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand;
because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it to
prosper.

Circumstances in life may be against us. It may seem that our dreams do not have the
nurturing ground to grow with all odds against us. We may ask ourselves how will our day of
glory arrive while we are in this mess. Let me tell you something that dreams do not come
when life is all rosy. If it did, we would never know how precious it is. They appear when
everything is going haywire and it seems that there is no way out. They do not come wrapped
neatly in a parcel drawing our attention to them. They come in the mist of our problems.
Someone once said, “ Opportunities do not come knocking or announcing their presence
rather they are there all the time. The only way to see them is to expect them from the
oddest places. If you are expecting to see your dream come true then expect them from the
unlikeliest places. In the mist of the turmoil, expect the arrival of your dream. As the law of
expectation says whatever you expect, with confidence, becomes our own self-fulfilling
prophecy. Or simply what you expect is what you get. Therefore, if you expect to see your
dream you will get it.

So far, I have been talking about how dream killers and haters can help you achieve your
mission. Actually, these people are capable of destroying your dream depending on how you
react to them. How? Well, if YOU let them. Dream killers can kill and dream haters can belittle
your dream if YOU permit them. They can only succeed with your acquiescence. They can do
damage to you if YOU authorize them. Therefore, whether your dream lives or dies depends
on one person and that one person is YOU. No one on earth has power over your future.
Neither God nor Satan can influence your future without your permission. In life, the
determining factor is no one else but YOU. YOU call the shots. YOU have the power of choice
that no one can override without asking your permission. Satan is powerless towards your
dream and God’s hands are tied as well. They both cannot decide for you. YOU are the
Decider. Just like salvation, God has provided the way but the only way to be saved is to
accept it by confessing with your mouth. YOU with your mouth decide your destiny with the
confession you make and God cannot do that for you. God has provided the options and YOU
have to make the choice- Will it be Life or Death?

8But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in THY mouth, and in THY
heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9That if THOU shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe
in THINE heart that God hath raised him from the dead, THOU shalt be saved.
10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth

No one has the right to sit on your dream unless you give him or her the opportunity to do so.
You are the one who decides whether your dream lives or dies. Today, make a firm decision to
make your God–given dream live and not die. Decide now!

When dream haters attack you, do not surrender. Dream haters are provokers to your
promotion. Use them as inspirational tools. Let them push you to even dream bigger and focus
on achieving the unthinkable. Let them help you get to your limit to see how much you are
worth that dream. Say to yourself, the more they come against me the more I will dare to
dream my heart out.

CHAPTER 2

In the previous chapter we discussed about dream killers and dream haters. We also talked
about how they can influence our dreams positively or negatively depending on us. Now, in
this chapter we will look at another group of people called dream helpers. These people are
important and no dream can survive without them. They provide the fuel for us to go through
the storms while we try to accomplish our goals. As I said previously a dream without a dream
hater is no dream. Well, a dream without a dream helper cannot survive. You must understand
that you cannot do everything on your own. No man is an island unto himself and he would
need the help of others in order to survive in this world. You need people who can help you get
to your destiny. You need dream helpers as mentors to advice you on how to make your life
very effective. You need them to guide, inspire, and motivate you. Dream helpers, you cannot
do without them.

Another point to note is that you also need God’s divine favor to fulfill the dream He has given
to you. Without divine favor, you cannot make the impact you would like to create. Joseph was
a recipient to this and that is why he became a blessing to Potiphar’ s household. Dreamers
are a blessing.

Reuben was a dream helper to his brother Joseph. In Genesis 37:21,22, Reuben prevented
his brothers from killing him.

21And Reuben heard it, and he delivered him out of their hands; and said, Let us
not kill him.
22And Reuben said unto them, Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit that is in
the wilderness, and lay no hand upon him; that he might rid him out of their
hands, to deliver him to his father again.

God will bring dream helpers who will prepare you and assist you to bring to pass the dream
laid upon your heart.

Dreamers also experience divine favor from God to carry their dream. Joseph experienced this
kind of favor when he was the supervisor both in Potiphar’s house and in the prison.

2And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in
the house of his master the Egyptian.
3And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all
that he did to prosper in his hand.
4And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him
overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.
5And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house,
and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for
Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the
house, and in the field.
20And Joseph's master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the
king's prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison.
21But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him
favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
22And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that
were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it.
23The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand;
because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it to
prosper.

Notice that even in the prisons God’s hand was upon him. In the unlikeliest places, God used
the oddest place to prepare him because in the near future Joseph would become ruler of
Egypt. Joseph would become Pharaoh’s right-hand man.

When you stand in your God–given dream God will provide everything you need to get there
through his favor. He will prosper you like He did to Joseph. Dream carriers are a blessing.

The Lord will bless the world by manifesting His power through them. Potiphar’s house was
blessed because of Joseph. Joseph made his life a channel through which God blessed
Potiphar.

And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house,
and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's
sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in
the field.

May your life be a blessing!

God’s divine favor will cause men to stand with you until the fulfillment of your purpose on
earth. When Satan brings people like Joseph’s brothers or Potiphar’s wife to oppose your
dream. He brings them to kill, destroy, and steal your dream (John 10:10, paraphrased). God
intend brings people who will keep your dreams alive and challenge you to reach out for them.
Dream helpers will stick with you in your difficult times.

Pray that God opens your eyes to see people who will agree with you and your purpose on the
earth. Beware of dream killers they can appear to love you but they seek your downfall. Just
never share your dream with anyone who cannot understand them. If anyone tells you cannot
do it. Avoid them. They discourage you from attaining great strides in your life. You will stirrup
hatred and jealousy from people if you do not wisely announce your dream to the right group of
people just like it happened to Joseph. People who misunderstand you can reduce your 100–
foot dream to a mere 10-foot dream. Dream thieves are closer than you think so be on the look
out for them.

Dreamers are discerners. You need to discern the kind of people around you. Someone you
consider to be your friend maybe a dream thief. So, keep your eyes opened and be careful of
the kind of people around you. Whoever is not excited about your dream is not a friend and
should be avoided at all cost. Dream helpers are excited about your dream and they place
value over your life.

You need to choose your friend wisely. Choose friends who will be of benefit to you and not
drain you emotionally. Choose people who will agree with your God–given vision. Two people
cannot walk together unless they are in agreement. Amos 3:3 testifies to this.

Let your friends influence you positively. Friends should be able to push you out of comfort
zone with their lifestyle. Dream helpers are a blessing. So, pick friends who bring happiness
and not troubles. The company of friends you keep can make or break you. The people you
call friends can drain or fill you up. Do not be unequally yoked to people who do not believe in
your dream.

If you want to be someone influential in future you need to have mentors in your life. You
should have a role–model who represents what you want to accomplish in life. Read their
biographies or autobiographies to know what steps they took to get to where they are. If it is
possible, meet with that person and ask him or her relevant issues that pertain to their success
in life. They would definitely give you some points that would be of help to you. Mentors are
Dream helpers and every one who wants to make a mark in life should have one. They would
instruct and motivate you.

CHAPTER 3

Your dream has standards you have to live by. You cannot expect God to bring to pass the
your dream when you are living in mediocrity. You cannot give birth to your dream when you
are meddling in sin. Genesis 39: 7 – 20 provide insight on how Joseph was able to fulfill his
dream. Joseph lived in absolute holiness and that is how God was able to change the
circumstances in his life. As a Christian, you are expected to live in holiness to bring honor to
God’s name. God can only work with you when you are in his will. So, follow hard after His will.
Follow after holiness then expect God to bring your dream to pass. Joseph lived in holiness
and God was able to manifest his dream.

7And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon
Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.
8But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not
what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;
9There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing
from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great
wickedness, and sin against God?
10And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened
not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.
11And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his
business; and there was none of the men of the house there within.
12And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his
garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.
13And it came to pass, when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand,
and was fled forth,
14That she called unto the men of her house, and spake unto them, saying, See,
he hath brought in an Hebrew unto us to mock us; he came in unto me to lie with
me, and I cried with a loud voice:

Beware of people who want to entice to sin. Because they could make you lose focus of your
life. People are going to come up with alternatives as to live your life but friend listen not to
them because the best alternative in life is to live your dreams out.

For your vision in life to be of value, you must endeavor to live in absolute holiness. There is
no other way you can live your life in order to arrive at your dream. Holiness is a prerequisite to
the fulfilling ones purpose on earth. You need to live according to the Word of God. Your life
will only be meaningful if follow the precepts of God. If you want to achieve something in life,
stop committing adultery. Flee from all youthful lust and focus on the task at hand. You have to
a purpose to complete so stop enjoying the pleasures of sin. It is not worth living that kind of
life if you are truly a born–again in Jesus Christ. If you want to meet your dream, stop living an
unrighteous life.

But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness,
godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them
that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

Joseph prospered in all that he set his hand to do because he was living in holiness. God
poured down divine favor over his life because he decided not to have an affair with Potiphar’s
wife. He chose to live in the dungeon rather than enjoying the pleasures of sin for a season.
Joseph did not have to sleep with her to get to the top. You do not have to live an ungodly life
just to get that promotion you desire in life. In fact, you are just burying your dream with your
unfruitful lifestyle.

Joshua 1:8 (paraphrased) says, “… meditate on the Word day and night, observe to live
according to all that is written therein. For then, you shall make your way prosperous, and you
shall have good success.” Live in accordance to the Word and you will prosper. Align your life
to the standards of God’s Word and your will surely succeed. Your dream will surely speak.

Joseph could have decided to give up his dream by having ungodly fun with his master’s wife
and his dream would have died. How? Potiphar would have sentenced him to death if he
caught Joseph in the act and that would have marked the end of the dreamer. Nevertheless,
thank God, Joseph did not sin and that made his dream live.

The little things that we do can hinder our dream from coming alive. The ‘ little` sins we are
committing are becoming barriers towards our destiny. We need to put away these sins since
the bible commands us to do it in Hebrews 12:1.

12:1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of

witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily
beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Hebrews 12:1 (KJV)

Many have died without living their dreams out all because they allowed sin to kill them. The
grave has now become the richest place on earth because people are dying with their true

potentials. Do not let this happen to you. Your life is very precious. Be careful with what you do
with it. When you live in sin, your dream dies. Just like a plant needs water, warmth, and air to
grow. Our God – given vision needs to be nourished by the Word of God. We have to read,
say, and act according to the Word and we will meet the standards of our dream.

You must understand that the life that u live is not yours and one day you will give an account
for what you did with it. Your life was give to you by God to make a difference in this world that
is why he gave you a dream. He wants you to change the world with the talent He has given to
you. So, do not give up on your dream.

The decisions you make today will not only affect you but those after you. God gave you life
and said, “ Fulfill my will concerning your life.” If you abandon your purpose, you are being
wicked. Many are to be blessed by your vision so do not give up your life’s purpose. Many are
to give God all the glory because of your life so make your life a light. Your life should be worth
remembering.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and
glorify your Father which is in heaven.

We can paraphrase it to read like this: Let your life so shine before men, that they may see
your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

If you do not know your dream or you do not know what you are to accomplish in life you have
a problem. Your life is worth living so live your dreams out. Seek for your dream and make
sure you accomplish it before living the earth or else your life would be useless. Do not die with
all potentials in you let it rather change someone’s life today. Achieve your purpose in life and
many will be glad that you were born.

Let me emphasize again that you life you live is not yours. God gave it to you. Make your life a
channel of blessings to your generation and let your life affect your children’s lives positively.

You have an obligation first to God and second to your generation to live your life in
accordance to the will of God concerning.

Jesus did not live for Himself. He was committed to the purpose concerning his life. His life
was like a lamb without spot and blemish ready for the sacrifice. Jesus sinless life made it
possible for Him to be the perfect Substitute for the cross. He could have decided to become
the King of the Jews who would deliver them from the Romans and abandon God ‘s plan to
save mankind from sin. Jesus spent his whole life on earth living a life of sacrifice for us. He
died on the cross to make the dream of God a reality. What about you? What life of sacrifice
are you living for your generation and the generations unborn? Are you eating all the fruit of
your labor that is also meant for your children? What inheritance are you living for your kids?
Your dream demands a sacrifice and you must give your all in order to be a blessing to those
around you.

Man or woman stop destroying your life by indulging in drugs, sex, alcohol, financial corruption,
or mediocrity. In stead, search for your purpose on earth, then live a life of sacrifice to bring it
to pass.

To enter into your destiny holiness must be part of your life. You must endeavor to live
righteously in the sight of God and Man. The generation of Israelites could not enter into the
Promised Land except Joshua and Caleb because of their ungodly lifestyle. They worshipped
other gods and murmured against God and His servant Moses. They doubted God ‘s ability to
give them the Land of Canaan and that resulted in God wiping the whole generation. They
were destined to the Land of Milk and Honey but their attitude towards God prevented them
from entering therein. They could only see with their eyes but could not possess the Land. Sin
was the stumbling block towards plenty. But, Joshua and Caleb possessed the Land because
they trusted God and lived holy lives.

27How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I
have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against
me.

CHAPTER 4

Most people are impatient when they have a dream. They want to see it come to pass the very
minute they conceive it. They would want it to manifest it the instantly they get it. They try
bringing it to pass before its appointed time and normally this results in failure. Christians are
living in sin in order to make their vision a reality. They live below God’s precepts to make the
impact they have really desired for quite some time.

Dreams are very fragile. They can bring joy or sadness to the dreamer depending on how one
handles it. Dreams represent the kind of people we would be in the near future. In addition,
since a baby does not take a day to grow into a full grown adult likewise our dream requires
time in order to blossom. You as a person need to prepare yourself for the arrival of your
dream and this is one of the reasons why our dream takes time to grow in us. Your vision in life
needs to develop and you as a person need personal development to be able to handle it.
Most importantly, it needs to arrive at the appointed time. If it comes before or after the
appointed time it will not be able to achieve its very purpose for which it was conceived. So,
wait for your dream. Live by faith and it will surely come to pass.

3For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not

You want to be someone in future. You want to be the very thing your dream describes about
you. You want to step into greatness. However, what are you doing to see that wish come to
pass? What necessary preparations are you putting in place to make you rise to the very top?
Are you asking the Lord for direction?

In addition, when we paraphrase verse three it will read like this, “Commit thy dreams unto the
Lord, and your dreams shall be established.” Or Psalm 37:5, “Commit thy dreams unto the
Lord; trust also in him; and He shall bring it (your dream) to pass.

Proverbs 3:5 and 6 also instructs us to acknowledge God in everything we do.

5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own
understanding.
6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Instead of trying to forcefully push your dream, choose to wait patiently and prepare yourself.
In Genesis 40:14 and 23, Joseph tried to achieve his vision before the right time and it only
resulted in the chief butler forgetting about him.

14But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray
thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this
house:
23Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him.

The manifestation of your dream is for a prearranged time. Your vision will be fulfilled on God’s
timing and not yours. Wait patiently and your vision will speak for itself. It will not lie but will
definitely happen.

In Genesis 37:5-10, Joseph dreamed a dream.

Nevertheless, we see His dream coming to being in Genesis 41:46, 42:6, and 44:14.

46And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of
Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout
all the land of Egypt.
6And Joseph was the governor over the land, and he it was that sold to all the
people of the land: and Joseph's brethren came, and bowed down
themselves before him with their faces to the earth.
14And Judah and his brethren came to Joseph's house; for he was yet there: and

Joseph was seventeen years old when he dreamt of being someone great in future. However,
he became what he dreamt when he was thirty years old. Thirteen years of waiting and

preparation him ready for his dream. During those years, God was molding him so that he
could carry his destiny and that of his family. Though it took thirteen years for Joseph’s dream
to manifest in the end it spoke.
Time is very essential ingredient n the life ones vision. It is an important factor to the survival of
your dream. Without it, your vision develops prematurely or vessel carrying the vision might not
be able to hold on to it when the fullness of time arrives since he has not matured enough to
bear it.

There are three stages in the life of a dream or vision. They are: conception stage,
development stage, and birth stage.

Conception stage

Every child born into this world carries with it a gift. Within this child lie all the dreams it has to
fulfill during his or her lifetime. That is why no one is a mistake but a living wonder. No one is
born handicapped. God equipped everyone with talents in order to complete the individual
tasks given to us. Everyone born into this world carried with it a dream and all the person has
to do is to look into his heart to find it.
Joseph dreamt his dream when he was seventeen and that began the conception stage. Once
he had conceived that he would be great one day, it started the process of achieving his
dream. Once he had a mental picture of what he would become in a years to come began the
life of his dream

And Joseph dreamed a dream….

Development stage

No woman has instantly given birth to a child as soon as conception has taken place. It is
impossible for this to happen since the embryo has not fully developed into a baby to adapt to
the environment outside the womb. The environment outside the womb is not favorable for the
embryo. Therefore, the embryo has to grow and acquire physical structures that will enable it

to live successfully outside the mother’s womb. Just like embryos, dreams at conception stage
have no power to blossom that is why we face trials to shape up into our dreams. Dream killers
and helpers are there to help our dreams mature. If you are going through difficult right now,
know that this will be for a moment. The problem you are facing is there to transform into
magnificent person. Rushing out your dream will only kill it. Just let it grow and only then can
birth take place without complications.

Birth stage

Before a woman gives birth to a child the baby should have developed within the stipulated
amount of time. Dreams have to mature within the dreamer so as to make the impact that
cannot be removed. Dreams come out at prematurely at birth when they are not allowed to
gestate for the required amount of time. The kind of dream you have at birth depends on what
happened during the previous stages especially the development stage. Dreams require all
three for it to have a successful lifecycle

Another important point to note is that the bearer of the dream requires transformation. A
woman who has not acquired the necessary structures for child – bearing will encounter
problems. Every dreamer’s dream demands CHANGE. You need to change your mentality
and think in line with your dream; you need to prepare yourself to bring forth your dream
without any complications.

Give birth to your dream and you would be blessing on earth. I pray that you find your God-
given dream and that the Holy Spirit will guide and lift you to achieve all that He has placed in
your heart in Jesus name. Amen!

CHAPTER 5

So many of ours kill our dreams with our mouths. We say so many things that stifle our lives.
Someone might say:
• “I are not educated enough to attain the height to which we want to achieve in life.”
• “I am not rich enough to have my dreams fulfilled.”
• “Nothing good ever happens to me.”
• “My marriage is in a mess.”
• “In my family no has ever been rich.”
• “I can not do it.”

This kind of negative talk can kill every potential God has put in you. You are destined to
succeed in every aspect of your life. And you need to look at yourself through the eyes of God
and not the eyes of men, through the eyes of the Bible and not what the circumstances or the
problems you are facing. Your life is at where it is because of what you have being confessing
with your mouth. What you have been saying most of the time has actually carved up your life
to its present shape. You are going through what you are going through by what you said
yesterday. And what you say today would directly influence what would happen to you
tomorrow.

Words are very powerful. They can make or break you. They have the power to create or
destroy your future. The one who has the ability to control his mouth would have his future in
tact. Proverbs 18: 21 tells us, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love
it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Wow! Did you see that? The bible is telling us that we have the
ability to cause death or life with our tongue, which further means we can bring death or life to
our marriage, goals, children, friend, work, or dreams. You can determine how life is going to
be for you by using your mouth. But you might say am facing big problems but instead of
looking at your problems, which you must know that everyone on earth faces from time to time,
is to look at the Word. What does God say about the situation? Confess the Word and not the
situation. To many times Christians confess their problems. They talk about how bad life is and
how they are just barely getting by. And that is why life is tough for them because they always

and continuously speak death to their life. They enjoy talking about how big the mountain they
are facing rather than how big their God who is even bigger than that mountain they are facing.

There is an important principle I would like to show you in Genesis 1: 1 – 3. Most of us read it
and miss an important principle that God is trying to teach us. God put the story of creation for
a reason not only for us to know who created the universe but most importantly how he
created it.

1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2And the earth was without form and void; and darkness was upon the face of
the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
-Genesis1: 1-3 (KJV)

Yes, we know this but what is it that I am trying to point out. Before God created the heaven
and the earth there was chaos, darkness, and emptiness but the Spirit of God hovered over
the face of the waters and the situation began to change. God looked at everything the
darkness, the emptiness, and the formlessness of the earth and said, “There is light.” And
light appeared. Which means after God looking at the earth he began to change it with his
mouth. He brought light to where darkness by Speaking. Now King James makes it difficult to
see it that way but in actual sense that was what God said. So we can rewrite the verse three
as:

And God said, “There is light:” and light appeared.

Yes, He looked at the earth with all its darkness and said, “There is light.” He did not confess
the problem but He confessed what he wanted to happen. But you might argue you that he is
God so with Him everything is possible. Hold on! What of you? Are ye not the son of the
Creator of the universe? Therefore, you have the same abilities as He has. The bible says in
Romans 8:16 that, “The Spirit beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of
God” You can create your life by following the same principle. If you want to change the
circumstances of your life learn to use your mouth. Speak the Word of God concerning the

situation and see the your problems drowning in the sea. No matter how dark your life is you to
can say, “There is light.”

Like I said before words are very important and even the bible attest to this fact. So do not let
negative words rule your life and destroy your dream. Do not let people tell you who are
because they would describe you below what God says you are. They would tell you what you
can do and what you cannot and this is not good. Learn to use the bible as your mouthpiece
and nothing else. If someone says to you, ”You cannot do it” do not stand there and allow it to
sink into you. Immediately, you say, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Do not allow people to speak negatively about you without you saying nothing about it. Speak
the Word. Because if you do not say anything you are allowing them to speak death into your
life but confess the Word and see it tear down those negative words that have been spoken
against you.

Friend the words that we speak are very important so learn to control what you say if you want
to enjoy the fruit of it. Learn to speak positive things about your life and not the other way
round. Even if things are not going on well at your workplace, school, or family this is the time
that you have to speak more positively than ever. What you say in the midst of your difficulties
will have a great impact on how long you stay in those situations. Refuse to let circumstances
control you however confess the word and see the Word changing your situation. The more
positive your words, the stronger you will be and the sooner you will get over whatever troubles
you. Discipline yourself not talk about the problem, talk about the solution. Begin to speak life-
changing words over your life and see yourself as a victor and not a victim.

You look at your life and ask, “How can my dreams come to pass?” There is one principle you
must learn as a practical dreamer and that is dreamers are talkers. Dreamers are talkers. They
do not speak about the impossibilities they are faced up with everyday. They speak about how
great their dreams are and how it is going to shine in spite of everything that is against them.
Learn to talk about your dream and I must tell you people are not going to like that but ignore
them, continue to talk even louder and sooner or later it would come to pass.

CHAPTER 6

You can live to see your dreams come to pass in your life but everything would depend on one
important aspect- that is your attitude. What is your attitude like when you get up in the
morning? Are you sad? Do you feel like life is difficult? Do think that your coworkers are going
to give you a hard time at work? Do feel like you wish you had a better spouse? In fact, do get
up feeling like life has been unfaithful to you?

Or are you the kind who is excited about life? Do wake up in the morning thanking God for
making see such a beautiful morning? Are enthusiastic about life? Are happy about your work,
children, spouse, and home?

You could see from these two sets of questions that there are two kinds of people. What
differentiates one from another is enthusiasm. My question to you today is that are you living
with enthusiasm? Are you excited about the life God has given to you? Or you are down
because of the problems you are facing. Listen you go through life enjoying every moment in
spite of your problems and in the end see your dreams. The Devil is very smart he is going to
give you every reason or reasons why your God-given dream would not come to pass. He is
going to tell you that you are not qualified for it. You do not have what it takes because you
come from a broken home or you do not have a university degree. Well, do not listen to him
because God is not like man that He should lie. Definitely, what he has showed you, what he
has told and placed in your heart would definitely come to pass. Though the dream tarry, wait
for it; because in the end it will surely come, it will not tarry a minute, a day or a year more than
the appointed time.

Enthusiasm is the fuel that motivates people releasing positive energy. It is an attitude that can
be controlled and activated from within and it is needed most when things are not going well.
Enthusiasm is a virtue that reflects ones attitude. It reveals confidence, arouses discipline,
shows commitment to whatever we are doing. In bad times, it laughs at adversity. Enthusiastic
people are not controlled by outside circumstances and that is one of the reasons they see
their dreams come to pass.

Be excited about life. Go through life knowing that He that has started a new thing is faithful to

handling things in your life. Walk with a spring in your step and look not at how many problems

things God has done for you and more cheerful because He is going to do greater things than

like Joseph in spite of what his brothers or potiphar’s wife did to him, he did not go back to God
asking why he was going through this difficulty but in stead he remained faithful. He was still
hot for God probably hotter than ever.

The word enthusiasm comes from the Greek word, en theos, which means “inspired by God”.
Go through life inspired by God with this conscious that everything that you do with your whole
heart and might He would surely bless you for it. Whatever you do, you are doing it unto God
so work, cook, sing, pray with your whole heart. Wake up in the morning a smile. Be excited
about your kids. Be happy that you have job and that you are making a difference even though
it may be small and insignificant but I tell you, someone is glad that you are in their life though
they might not say it. When get back from do let the fire dwindle, be excited that you are going
to meet your wonderful family at home.

Whatever you do, work at it with your whole heart, not unto men, but do it unto
God knowing that God will reward you.

Let your life be filled afresh with God’s goodness everyday. Let Him your reason to live and not
why circumstances that say you have no reason to live but die. Have enthusiasm. Be inspired
by God. Do everything with a smile. Try to be excellent at what you are doing whether others
are looking or not because you know the Creator of the universe has seen and would definitely
bless you. God lives in you and He is a very enthusiastic God, One who is passionately about
you. And since His lives in us we have the power to go through life turning impossibilities into
possibilities.

In life there are going to be problems but it is not God’s desire that He should let these
problems defeat you. No, he wants you to walk over them because He said in His Word that
we are more than conquerors. Go through life knowing that you are more than a conqueror.
Being more than a conqueror means that you gone beyond conqueror in that you are
celebrating your victory but living in it. Being more than a conqueror is the life that God has
placed in your life as a Christian. You certainly might look at yourself and everything around
and conclude that you are not even a conqueror. But do not look around because they would
quench your faith. They would try to say God is a liar. The Just walk not by sight but they walk
by faith. So if God says you are more than a conqueror even though your life does not look so,
hold it up in faith, begin to confess it and begin to walk as more than a conqueror.

You must becareful about those around you because make you live a life of mediocrity which
is not God’s standard to fulfilling the dream He placed in your heart. Keep away from people
who try to belittle your ambitions. When everybody else is down and defeated, when you are
all alone in the struggle and nobody is there to encourage you, just encourage yourself in the
Lord. It does not matter what anybody else does or does not do, I am ever going to live my life
with fervor! I am going to stay on fire, be aglow at what I have to accomplish! I am going to be
passionate about seeing my dreams come to pass.

Never lag in Zeal, but be aglow and on fire, serving the Lord enthusiastically.

a positive attitude u draw people to God. The fact that your dream seems dead, which in fact is
not, does not mean you have to go through life discouraged. If your dream does not happen
today do not worry because I tell you are one day closer to your dream. So be grateful to God
that you are alive to see this day.

Fire up your life, your personal relationships, your career, your dream. Do not allow your
relationship with God become sour just because you have not received answers to your
prayers rather lag not in zeal, but be passionate and on fire, serving the Lord enthusiastically.

Friend, Dreamers are passionate, exciting, aflame and happy people. Though their dreamers
may have not been fulfilled they still go through life with a smile on their face. Friend, whatever
happens always remember to live each day with a smile. Be happy about where you are and
where you would finally end up, Heaven. Enjoy today! Enjoy each moment you experience
today because they might not come again. Enjoy the time you spend with your family, friends,
loved ones, coworkers, business partners, classmates and acquaintances because today
might be the only moment you would ever get. Mend every broken relationships and see how
life turns out to be. Experience every second of your life and understand that nothing
extraordinary has to happen to make you happy. Choose to be happy today because you know
that with God on your side definitely your miracle is assured to come to pass even though it
does not look like it would ever happen.

saved; I am born-again; I am a child of God! I now have Christ dwelling in me, and greater is
He that is in me than he that is in the world! (1 John 4:4). I now walk in the consciousness of
my new life in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah! Amen!”

Congratulations! You are now a child of God. Now you need to walk in your new life by reading
the Bible to know what you have attained as a child of God everyday. Secondly, join a bible
believing Church and worship with other Christians to enable you grow in your newfound faith.
Finally, tell other people such as your family, friends, coworkers, boss, everyone about Jesus.
Share your Joy with them.
