Strategic Objectives
1. Using the nanoscale sciences and nanotechnologies for
business and society by exploiting RTD results;
2. Strengthening competitiveness by cooperation and
networking between science and enterprises by creating
and expanding critical masses;
3. Positioning Austrian interests through increased integration
and cross-disciplinary networking in European and
international cooperation in research and technology
development, in particular in the EU programmes;
4. Contributing to the expansion and maintenance of research
competence through education and training measures for
the qualification of specialists in research and technology
development;
5. Contributing to the building and expansion of the
corresponding infrastructure as well as building centres in
basic research and application-oriented special fields.
