The global number of cancer related deaths is on the rise, with the developing world disproportionally affected - a trend that can only be stopped by implementing effective prevention and early-detection mechanisms, according to the 2014 World Cancer eport! The report was launched coinciding with World Cancer "ay by the #nternational $gency for esearch on Cancer, a speciali%ed agency of the World &ealth 'rgani%ation! in which over 2(0 scientists from all over the world publish their findings and update the international community about the multiple aspects of cancer research and control! $lthough the treatment for most cancer types has undergone rapid transformation in the past few decades, the report shows that the number of cancer cases has been rising steadily to 14 million new cases per year, and both the number of cases and cancer related deaths are e)pected to increase in the ne)t two decades!
