Class Prophecy

Posted on Agosto 11, 2009 0

How time flies really!! I can still remember my first day in high school. I was so excited then. And now, I am excited again because of this affair, our JS Prom. Yesterday, today but what about tomorrow? CLASS Prophecy I became a journalist. I took an scholarship examination to master my craft. I passed the examination with flying colors. So i have to stay in the US for two years given the study grant. I prepared my travel documents. I didnt have a hard time securing the passport for Leonabel Matibag was connected with the Department of Foreign Affairs. I boarded the Cathay Pacific Airlines. Sir, coffee or juice? The flight stewardess asked. I was not able to answer her for her face face was so familiar to me. I realized she was Elena Nitro. At the airport in US, Roger Briones, my very good friend fetched me. He married a nurse and they were staying there for good. I continued my studies in Harvard University. During my free time, I had a chance to cross the country of Canada. As i was having a nice time in Niagara Falls, know what? I met B-beth Liwag, Loribeth Velasco, Apolinario Laresma and Francisco Caraan there. We were happy to see each other again. I invited them to have a night clubbing. In one of the night clubs there, we found out that the Stone Haven, our high school band, Joel Matibag, Dennis Mendoza, Arnel Matibag, Jesus Marundan and Arman Rodriguez, who was married to Noerilyn Makalintal performed there. They told us that Jerwin Matibag with his wife, Annalyn Makalintal was once their customer too. They were happily married with two kids. I went back to the Philippines. I found out that Imelda Marundan was at the Immigration so my baggage was not pirated at NAIA. Upon arrival, I was invited to be a resource speaker in one of the School Press Conference. I was surprised to see Norylene Sarmiento. She was now the adviser of the Ang Biga, the school paper of my Alma Mater, Bigain National High School. She became an English teacher. She was excited to see me. I could sense that her feelings for me was still there. Norylene, still single, asked me to be their guest speaker on their graduation. Without batting an eyelash, I said Yes to her. That scene made me remember Maam Joh. She used to tease us when we were together. Bagay daw kami. So i was with the familiar place again. Bigain National High School. What a great feeling! As i was talking before the graduating class, the atmosphere was nostalgic. Some of my former teachers were still there. Like Ms Joh Briones, Ms Belela, Mrs. Liwag, Mrs. Pascua and Ms

Veronica Briones. Ms Bagui became Mrs. Briones, too. She was married to our Assistant Co, Mr. Allan Briones. Ive heard that Mr. Perez, Ms Hernandez, Mrs Agno and Mrs. Remo have applied for retirement. Ms. Castillo went abroad. After delivering the speech, some of my former classmates greeted me. Some of them were Lea Macaraig, Luisita Makalintal, Tommy Velazques and Melchor Detablan. Few of them like Mercy Mendoza, Ramil Carandang, Leah Lagaya and Glenda Alday had already their own families. Rene del Mundo and Alex Matibag were there too. We decided to have our Alumni Homecoming. And that reunion brought us all together again. Well, friends these are just product of my wild imagination. Hope you bear with me.. ______________________________________________________________________________ __________________ Delivered during our JS Prom. Marami na sa kanila yung me sarili ng pamilya. Mga propesyonal na din pero malayo dun sa kwento. Hindi rin ako naging journalist pero i became their guest speaker five years ago At least me natupad sa prophecy.. Si Norylene? hindi na uli kami nagkita after graduation. Balita ko, nakapag-asawa siya ng isang mayamang Tsinoy.

This article was written for 3 hours exactly three days before the JS prom. If you study closely, the writer originally intended to let the sequence of events evolve in a novelistic plot by writing it as a romantic masterpiece. But because of technical difficulties involving the function of the class prophecy plus the hectic schedule that the author had that time, the endeavor was not fully realized. But still the writer managed to create a plot, though less novelistic as it was originally planned, that he hid within the prophetic words of this literary attempt. Try to find it and maybe you'll have a treat this summer. And also the class prophecy may sound too big for us to attain, but if we really get serious about it then Impossibility will just become a nuisance in our quest for eternal fulfillment -Junno-Kaiser
This Class Prophecy is dedicated to all batch05 members who are toiling out there just to bring honor and achieve excellence for our very own alma matter....

What We Will Be Tomorrow

Oh, its already seven. I must hurry or Ill be late for my flight to Paris. I suddenly exclaimed as I stared at my Rolex to check the time. It was just a day after I arrived in London from Massachusetts to pass a copy of my thesis to the British Engineering System Department. And thanks God I was lucky to attain my doctorate and title as patent of the said field. I was also able to meet my classmates and batch mates in high school who are now nurses there namely Victor Canda, Lavinia Catherine Manzon, Aimee Quine Nermal, Fritz Trimidal, Marnece Josie Clavero, Glaiza Rica Ho, Jonnlyn Ortiga, Mary Ann Rodriguez, Sherifel Fruit Grace Cabuga, Daninoh Panandigan, Mardenver Balan, Divine Bagnol, Julie Ann Cahiles, May joy Geli, Nielyn Inabangan, Aibel Lastimado, Ven Joseph Cabuga, Janrick Regalado, Maiza Nolem Cifra, Lovely Mae Suarez, and Goldah Destaho. As a matter of fact right now I am scheduled to have a vacation in my homeland, the Philippines, on a 6 stop journey. And my first destination is Paris. Before I boarded the plane, a beautiful young lady approached me with a smile and said, Excuse me mister, is the number of your ticket 001? I became poignant for a while when I looked at her face and seductive smile, which resembles someone familiar. Yes, why did you ask? I answered. Well, we have consecutive ticket numbers as I can see so were seatmates. She replied. Before I could ask her name, the pager announced that the plane for Paris was about to leave, so the both of us forgot our introduction and hastily went inside the boarding area. My seat was not far from the Pilots cabin, and I shared it with the lady I met earlier. The door separating the two cabins was embossed with the pilots name who was no other than Frederick Yu, a fellow batch 05 Theresian, and I met Kristena Quizada who was a stewardess of the plane I boarded. We arrived Paris at 6 in the evening. The lady and I dined at a premier restaurant in there; we talked a lot about the paintings of Filipino painters Mie Love Suarez and Domine Quitorio, whose works are now displayed in Louvre though we didnt even know our names. Coincidentally, the manager of the restaurant was personally checking on his clients, and when he passed by our table I was amazed to see Rhygy Pude my classmate. I then found out that he is now the richest entrepreneur in France. We gazed ourselves to the lovely aura of the romance capital of the world with romantic settings of lights and panoramas. I then watched a fashion show of world famous designer Manny Balo a member of Magdalo. Some of the ramp models were my schoolmates way back during my high school days, namely Al Bryan Quintos, Jess Albert Pilapil, Dan Bryan Perez, and Jennifer Salubre. Since my partner went back to the hotel before the fashion show, I decided to see Manny to converse with him for a while. Man, I thought you took-up Fine Arts Major in Interior Design? I said. Well I changed my mind and tried something different from what I usually does. He replied. Hows April? I asked. Shes busy taking care of our 3 children. He answered. I cant imagine how you turned to be a girly-man or that sort of title. I jokingly supplemented. The following day I went on to New York while my companion carried on to the Philippines, I passed by Rocker Park, the center of AND1 mix tape tour, whose Street balers and main endorsers are Aldrin Ranjee Novo and Jordan Aya-ay. I paid a visit to him for a while, and I was stunned to see 5 kids roaming around his office, he told me that he was married to Jacqueline Pasok, another classmate of mine. And when I asked him why is he the one tending their children he simply answered, Im a member of daddy day care baby sitters association.

The next day I proceeded to Los Angeles, at the height of my flight towards the said city, a stewardess approached me and said, Excuse me sir, are you a Rossian? I broke into extreme laughter when I recognized that the stewardess was no other than Eve Regina Cruz. I replied three familiar letters saying. Am I a Camerouge? As I was roaming the city, a television billboard caught my attention when my classmate Michael Estose was showcased as a beautiful fashion model and at the same time a VJ, together with world-renowned beautician Anthony Almenso. I then went to Hollywood via a street decorated with names of Hollywood stars, though in agonizing numbers I carefully read each one. Then, I suddenly stopped with eyes widened as I read the names Kenneth Sario, and Ronie Suico, multi-awarded actors who I can say with prideful chants as two of my classmates. When I reached Hollywood, a movie shooting was ensuing, and then I asked a member of the staff, Whos the director of the movie? A skinny girlish man approached me and said, I am the director and what can I do for you? I was in awe when I found out it was Nino Cuadra speaking in front of me. I shouted in joy Nin is that you? Raisun. Raisun Llamera my used to be seatmate in English? He questioned back. Yes its me, look at you youre a famous director-producer and at the same time a respected fashion designer now. I replied. Dont you flatter me, right now Im making a billion dollar movie. He answered. Well good luck with your career. I said. Subsequently, I went on with my adventure. San Francisco wasnt that far from L.A, there I met psychiatrists Charmiene Zafra, Vessel Quijano, and Riza Lozada; famous singers Jaquilim Sumuga, Lymwil Charles Biong, and Mery Mae Licawan; Joan Solis, a well-known dancer; office workers Joanna Rosemarie Sabrido, Karel Ann Lucar, and Nelrizza Burgos; lawyers Alde Murillo, Carolyn Condez who is at the same time a CPA, Marivic Elpa, Jared Dadulla, Mike Macapala, Donald Fernandez, and Manuel Jay Elizalde; U.S Senators Jessem Pacheco, Geraldine Rodriguez, and marc joseph Martinez; and dentists Rommel Sarmiento and Crislie Arinzano, at a Filipino lounge down town. I also met Marie Kristine Lim, our tourist guide in Alcatraz Island, San Francisco. After I checked-in, I browsed my self for some relaxing TV shows. When I turned the channel to Solar USA, I was shocked to see Jonathan Kenneth Merza and Carl Nino Ruaza competing each other for the World Wrestling Entertainment Heavyweight Championship Belt. But what luck, no one won because both of them were exhausted at the verge of the match. I reached Tokyo at the height of December, so it was very cold; I was able to talk to Michelle Plaza, Joan Cyrille Wahing, Chesna Tranquilan, and Ronelyn Mae Secarro who are now computer experts. I was also able to glimpse at Rolievir Atrejenio, Danilo Quinonez, and Michael Llano who are no crews of MV Queen Mary. I then learned from them that the Miss Universe pageant was held there a week prior to my arrival, and I heard news that my classmate the now Micah P. Rosos won the title as miss Universe! I could not believe my ears when I heard it, but oh so well maybe he I mean she turned the world upside-down. Before I could reach my beloved country, I received a card inviting me to the wedding of the year it seems that my fellow Harvardian and assistant in research when I solved the Grand Unified Theory in Physics way back 2 years ago who is Phil Aguilar is about to settle down with my

Ate in school Diane Bigno, a pre-school teacher in UST. Their wedding was scheduled on the day of my arrival. Finally, the journey of a thousand miles round the world is about to end. Ive nearly seen all but one, my motherland. I noticed an honorary military formation at the rampart of the unloading bay of Tandag International Airport, I thought a V.I.P was with us in the plane, but I was astonished when the band played as I stepped down the red carpet, I recognized the faces of the police echelon saluting me, they were Maiels Alibangbang, Nikki Van Canete, Glomarez Lumangtad, Jay Martinez, Paul James Martinez, and John Cloyd Yballa. President Michael Novo, Vice President Jossie Campon, Opposition leader Sen. Raphael Aleph Tac-an, Senators Marison Cuartero and Albert Lumanao, and the photogenic mayor of Tandag city Mayor Irewil Flores met and congratulated me, Jun-jun even jokingly gave me a bouquet and I said, You should have given that to Manny. They applauded me for my scientific achievements in the field of Physics, they were proud that A Filipino was the only one who solved the question of the millennium and that I was the first Filipino to be awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics. A swarm of reporters sprawled the area. I was flabbergasted of my sudden celebrity identity. A small cute woman approached me and introduced herself as, Im Marie Charisse Bonifacio the CEO-president of ABS-CBN network. Yette. Is that you? I replied. She answered with a cute smile Who do you think am I Raisun? I then added, Hows you and Guide. A frown painted her face, but she managed to answer me, Rey Guide Manglicmot is already a seaman sailing the 7th seas, we bought the company last year and the two of us already have 6 children. Shooh Pretty small a number of kids. I answered. Lets just say it was 99 percent perception, and 1 percent hard work. She added. The CEO-president of rival GMA Broadcasting Corporation was also there who is no other than my comrade in writing competitions before, Mr. Arian Rey Tejano. Arian, do you still remember when you said to me that by the next time we meet well converse in extreme English? I asked. I still remember that Raiz, as a matter of fact I published the book Etiquette in preparation for this moment. he answered. Hey wasnt that book last years Bestseller?. I yelled. Yes it was. He replied. I was busy chatting with Arian till a skyscraper built at the top of Linongao caught my attention. I asked the workers of the Infrastructure for the names of its designers, and they told me that certain Engineers by the names of Yvonne Polinar, Elmarie Villar, Nickon Rey Arinzano, Ian Mar Barrot, Harold Keith Bastasa, Polan Manzano, Julien Orio, and Arjhun Salem with their Master Planners, Engineers Maia Karmi Montesclaros and Xian Cabatchete who just recently published his book Connotations wherein he proposed some radical advancements in Algebra, pooled all their knowledge in Engineering to build a mile tall tower, resistant to wind, corrosion, tsunamis, and landslides. I praised their work since they are readily accelerating Filipino engineering. We reached Phils mansion with little delay. Hey Phil how are you? Our work in the GUT is already in the market. I said. Im fine, and I already have a copy of our work. He answered. Anyway before anything else youre my best man. He added. Your what? I exclaimed. He handed me a splendid suit and told me, Just do it. Hey dont tell me Arnelie is the brides maid. I questioned. No its not Arn2x, shes busy with the reception. He replied. So whos it? I added. Youll

just find out. He answered. Well all right Ill do it, it has been a long time since I made your life miserable so why not? I wandered Tandag city first before I dressed up for the wedding. I visited STC which was renamed as University of Saint Theresa, there I met my teachers in high school. Sir Dimacuha finally achieved his doctorate in Mathematics, Sir Plarisan just published his latest best-selling book, and Maam Canda is now the principal since Maam Bola had been inaugurated as the Dean of the universitys College of Arts and Sciences. Most of my teachers were awarded as the most Outstanding Educators of the World; their fame in education even reached the four corners of this earth.

When I arrived at the cathedral, I met Cherie mae Dabalos and Jonie Marie Mionez who are sisters of the Carmelite Congregation. When the ceremonies began, the godparents were the first to walk the Aisle as Rhodjiejun Vaz, now a singer-idol began to sing romantic serenades conducted by musician Louie Curada with the world famous Tandag Philharmonic Orchestra. First came Eng. & Mrs.Dariel and Roxanne Villaflor, Singer Epel Jane Concha with her husband followed, Atty Lucks Mae Digaum with her husband Businessman Arian Ybiernas walked next, Dr. Rejoyce Mantiza with her Mayonnaise went through, The Ms. Juliefe Medrano before walked with her partner in life, The ex Ms. Jennifer Mendoza was with her husband too, likewise Jeraldine Mendoza closely followed with her Papa, and last came Hazel Sablas who paraded down the aisle with the man of his heart. While the godparents were on a procession, I was astounded to see the lady I was with in Paris, she too looked as if puzzled when she saw me. She was so elegant and beautiful to look at with her gown. I neared her and said, Small world. Yeah. She answered. What are you doing here anyway? I asked. Im the brides maid here. She replied. Well as a matter of fact I am the best man. I added. I am Maple and youre? she said. What? I cant believe it, are you really Noreen Ecoben? Anyway Im Raisun still remember? She could hardly believe what I said and we began to laugh till it hurt us. What were you doing in London anyway? I asked again. Im a nurse there. She answered. A few minutes later we walked down the aisle and talked with each other about our past commitments and about what happened through the years for the rest of the ceremonies. The reception that followed nearly became an alumni homecoming. We talked a lot, giving primary concerns to our batch mates, and there I erudite that Shilela Mae Ybanez is now the proprietor of the soon to open Bongtud Ocean Drive, Gregie Espancho is now the head Marine Technologist of Water World Philippines, Ivan Alzate was awarded as PBA MVP for the past season, Joe Mark Galindo is now the principal of Awasian Elementary School, Divina Gracia Lomocso, Glory Jean Barrios, Raquel Emlarino, Shenna Mae Polinar, Billy Joe Tindugan, Roni Dua, Marso Billy Plaza and Johnson Bual are corporate businessmen and they now own more than half of the stocks in the Philippine Stocks Exchange. Before the party ended I inquired the manager of the Carl-Ritz to express my appreciation in the kind of service they made to my best friends wedding. The manager then faced me and I became mute for a moment to see Arnelie Bacodio my ultimate crush in high school as the millionaire owner of the

said establishment. I blushed for a moment, but I went straightly to the topic as if a gentleman from San Carolina. What I can say right now is that time passed by so quickly for us, its just very easy to reminisce our high school days, but impossible to return to. Well gee. My batch mates are all professionals in their respective fields, and I thank God for giving such honor of spending my most wonderful times with people like them. As for me Im the dean of Harvard Universitys College of Engineering and its master professor in Physics, I just won the Nobel Prize in Physics for solving the Unification of Forces, Im 25 and still single, and I also published the book entitled Proper Philosophy. But I guess I do not have the last thank you, because only all of the members of Batch 05 have the right to say, We rocked the world, and changed the course of modern history.

Class Prophecy
Published August 25, 2012 by windeemorta As I was going over my High School stuffs, I found a copy of the class prophecy that I and my classmate Heide delivered during our JS Prom when we were in fourth year. While reading this, I thought of how futuristic we were when writing this piece and how weird we were during that time. As I go over each paragraph, I tried to recall and remember the faces of those named mentioned but sadly, I cant remember all so I asked not the help of Facebook or Google but the Yearbook! And now, Im wondering if some of the success mentioned in here is already coming true or theyre still on the process of building and developing it. After an exhausting coverage of world peace talks, I decided to take a leave from my position as CNN International Correspondent. I would like to take some well earned rest after chasing diplomats in the summit. In many years now, I have always wanted to write a book on the whereabouts of Doa Carmen Denia National High School Batch 2010 and I finally find the right time. Before boarding the plane and start my journey back to my beloved school where I was graduate 20 years ago, I notice a familiar girl approach me. I cannot believe it was Heide. Windee: Oh! Heide is that really you? Heide: Yes, Windee. Its I your former classmate in secondary school. Windee: Nice to see you again. By the way, why are you here? Heidi: Nice to see you too Windee. Would you believe if I tell you that I am now the owner of this airport and the Cross-Kazenjou airlines?

Windee: Wow, really? Good for you. Youre just one of those Denians in our batch who has achieved their dreams. Do you remember LOUIE JAY SANZ, JUNE PHILIP BORINAGA, LEMUEL TANCONTIAN, and JENICA BIAS? They are now great scientists who were given the Nobel Investors award for inventing the flying car. Not only that, FLORA MAE CALIXTRO, GAY DIOSA AWE, BENJAMIN ANG, JONATHAN JAMES ROSETE, CHRISTIN BALANSAG, and RAELEN DIONSON, built the superhighway enabling humans to travel from Planet Earth to Planet Phantom Hive that was discovered by LIEZEL JOY ZABALA and WERNHER DOTE using flying cars. He is a matinee idol. Of course, there are rumors about divorce of actors and actresses but are being overshadowed by the most awaited weddings of the year the DIANA ROSE BATINGANACHARLEY MANE ASSISTER nuptial and AURORA FE GONZALES and ROSSVELT MATA wedding. Windee: its really amazing to know about the achievements of our schoolmates and classmates. It only proves that Denians are competitive in nature. It our blood runs the trait of excellence. Im really proud to be a Denian. Heide: its true Windee being a denian is something that we can be proud of.

Windee: Oh! The public address system announces that the flight bound for Davao is now accepting passengers. I have to board now! Goodbye Heide. I know its not our last meeting. Heide; Goodbye Windee! Nice to see you again Good bless. Now, I can write more about my batch mates and my school after knowing lots of information. Im sure that the book that I shall be writing is interesting and full of success stories. I may become a writer of fantasies but Im pretty sure that in real life, we will become real achievers. At the end point of my pen, I can write that, in the end, each of us is a writer of his own masterpiece. I maybe expressing stories full of achievements and success, but I believe that part of it, are failures and hardships to become a triumphant one. Also, part of our reality experience tonight, lets treasure and enjoy the rest of the night for this experience will become part our great experiences in life.
