DEVELOPMENT OF CLASS COHESIVENESS February 2, 2014

Taking into considerations that the globe has been taking over with technologies and economics fastest development, the pace of humans basic life has changed dramatically in sustaining their needs with their approachable goals. Due to higher demands and higher expectations in humans capitalism, education system has become a major worldwide issue to be discussed for its pertinent role in making the society to fully alter the civilization and embrace the long life learning for their own benefits as well as their countries progression. As for the development country like Malaysia, education transformation has been seen as an open-changed alternative for the benefits of its citizen and also for foreign investment on the sector. Crucial attention is being focussed upon such sector in order to ensure the educations institutions are able to produce a wholesome of excellent quality of students and not by the quantity. Thus, progressive actions have been injected into the educations system for the betterment of the countrys future. Such action is the role of a teacher in developing class cohesiveness. Class cohesiveness is regards as continuous progress of teaching and learning in a classroom with fully cooperation between the students and the educators in a harmonious environment. Class cohesiveness has become a pillar in order to create authentic learning along with class management. In the early days of conservative China, revolutionist like Confucius has underlined the importance of respecting the elders while seeking of knowledge. This is because he believes that a teacher is a noble man that outpoured his knowledge towards the society. The element of respecting the elders is inculcated inside of the class cohesiveness so that the students are aware of their limitations and ostentatious behaviour towards the educators. Although certain educationist are firm believer of setting up rule and firmness towards the students, majority of the students always feel too uptight and uncomfortable to study in this ambiance. Hence, it is undeniable that class cohesiveness needs both parties to make it a success. Educators are also needed to respect the students privileges in making up their choices for example discussing certain issues that may arouse sensitivity among the students or the educators themselves. When the educators are able to simplify and generate the issues with details explanations, it will give them the respect from the students and class cohesiveness will be achieved. This explains why in this millennium era, theories of learning are getting wider from social constructivism to humanism.

DEVELOPMENT OF CLASS COHESIVENESS February 2, 2014 Sitting arrangement is also a part of class cohesiveness in portraying the relationship of the students in the classroom. Malaysia hail as a diversify-ethnicities country. With different background and beliefs, the students in the classroom need to understand and respect greatly of one another. In many English-based schools of Convents and Methodist where students with different races flock in, the system of sitting arrangement plays a vital role in encouraging communication between the students. This arrangement might be suitable for a safer approach but will it be a long lasting effect of peace? Certain schools in America and Britain implement a sitting arrangement where the students can choose any spot that they feel comfortable with and also based on their sexual orientation. In certain aspect, young learners are more difficult to understand and a minority of them enjoys to be given an opportunity to decide. Children in this generation are more complicated than the children in the 80s. Furthermore, sexual orientation issue is still a major taboo among the Asian as it does not follow the norms of any beliefs. Presumably that there is a child with two homosexual dads in a rural area, will the idea of giving him the best sitting arrangement recovers the stigmas that he received? The educators need to understand that to have cohesiveness in the classroom, all of them need to teach the students the value of acceptance even though it is against their morality. Educators nowadays cannot just tip-toing on chalk and talk but rather more on the actions and thinking. Acceptance will give out the value of entitativity. It is always a problem in getting the students to participate in classs activities much less school events. The introvert and passive behaviours are always the barriers in understanding the students. This group of students usually favour to left alone with their own world of difficulties. Under class cohesiveness rule, the educators need to foster an environment where they can enjoy schooling years as best that they can. When the matter of discussion or counselling is being called in as one of the factors in class cohesiveness, the society always takes it as an unnecessary approach. In their eyes, children are not in the phase where stress in life or depression is accountability with their perspectives. The notions of psychologys treatments always bring shivers to the Asian community as it give out bad omen towards oneself. According to the statistic carried out by the The New York Times, 85% of the parents all around Asia are into the make-believed of craziness when their children are seeking for therapy in mental states. This prejudices should be catered thoroughly by the educators because private discussion with the students does not only help them to understand what has the children go thorough but also maintain the class cohesiveness between the particular children with his classmates. Either the discussion takes place with the whole classmates or one-by-one, there will always a room for improvement that the educators to build-up the childrens strength. In a vignette, classroom cohesiveness does not depend on written rules and regulations purposely. Moral values or aesthetics skills should be withdrawn by this time so that the students are well-mannered in their early days. When it is time for them to hit the playground or just saddle down
