This slide deck highlights apps that are useful tools for education in and out of the classroom. All apps in this deck can be found in Google Play and in Google Play for Education. On Google Play anyone can choose from over 1 million apps and games, and browse the world's largest eBookstore. Google Play for Education is a special view of Google Play designed just for schools. In addition to the over 1 million apps in Google Play, educators whose schools purchase tablets with Google Play for Education will find it easy to discover, purchase, and deploy teacher-approved apps and educational videos. Learn more in section 2 of this document.

Schools in the Chromebooks for Education program have the additional ability to deploy Chrome web apps instantly to groups of students

With tablets and Google Play for Education, teachers can discover, purchase, and share educational apps, videos, and a selection of top classic books. Schools can learn more about and purchase this program at google.com/edu/tablets. Google Play for Education allows educators to browse apps approved for teachers by teachers, viewing content by grade, subject, and standard including Common Core. This gives teachers more power to customize learning for individual students. And with cloud deployment, educators can share content across a school or entire district with just a few clicks.
