Bowman
A bowman is the ranged class in MapleStory. They use
bows and crossbows to deliver high amounts of damage
to their enemies. The bowman’s main stat is dexterity
which provides him with very high accuracy. This will
allow them to be the only class to hunt monsters that are
a much higher level than themselves. The bowman class
gets a very unique skill which allows them to knock their
enemy back which will allow the bowman to stay at
range and unleash his fury on them. Bowman is a low
populated class, meaning there are not many of them on
most servers compared to other classes.
The downfall to a bowman is they take a while to train

and level until you reach the 3rd Job Advancement. For
as a bowman your damage will be very inconsistent while leveling until you
get some of the higher end class skills. While a bowman is one of the most
unique classes to play, their full potential will not be shown until higher
levels.
Bowman from the start
When you first start your character every time you level you will receive 5
ability points to add stats. You want to know how to use these ability points
from the very start to make sure your Bowman is at his full power. When

Bowman Builds
Build Type A
This build type is recommended for the average player. If this is your first
bowman then this is the build for you. The build is balanced to give the
archer high critical strike, while also enough accuracy that they will need to
level at a fast rate.
Build Type B
This build is for experienced and funded players. It will cost a little more
while leveling due to potions and arrows but it will allow you to max out The
Eye of Amazon, Critical Strike, and Double Shot.

Arrow Blow Vs. Double Shot
Critical is +100%, not 200%, and Critical may occur for every arrow you shoot.
Hence maximum damage of Arrow Blow is 260% + 100% =360%. Maximum
damage of Double Shot is (130% + 100%) * 2= 460%.
As a result, DS has a higher average damage(~340% damage) than AB(~300%)

has, rendering the AB skill weaker for BOTH Hunters and Xbowmen. Furthermore,
having only one shot, AB is unstable (dealing either high — 40% chance of 360%
damage or low — 60% chance of 260% damage) while DS is more stable with two
shots (DS, when activated, has 48% chance to deal average damage, which is one
critical and one normal hit, hence the stable damage. Take note that this 'average'
damage is 360% damage, equal to a critical shot AB. Furthermore, DS has 16%
chance to deal 460% damage
Bowman Training
(Levels 10 – 30)
Now that you have an idea of how you will spec your Bowman, it is now
time to actually go out and start leveling. The key is finding areas that do
not have a lot of competition with other players, and that you are able to kill
the monster in 2 – 3 hits. Anything thing higher than that is to powerful and
anything lower then that will not give you enough EXP. You also want to
find a place where the monsters have a fast respawn rate so there will be
as little down time as possible. As you level and explore zones you will get
the feel for which areas are good for your level and give good EXP.

Start off killing snails for quick EXP, the first zone to the east of Hersheys is a great
place to fight. Each level has a higher monster that you can kill as you level to 15

Once you hit 15 you should start killing Pigs and Mushrooms, they can be found in
almost zone outside of a major city. Try to find somewhere that is not crowded.

Dungeon: Ant Tunnel
Around 20 you want to start leveling at the Secret Pig Beach Level (refer to the
secret level section to find its location). Once you get around the mid 20s head to
the Ant tunnel and start leveling on the shrooms there.

Head down in the dungeons between the Ant Tunnel and the Drake Hunting ground.
Here you will find Evil Eyes and Zombie Mushrooms to kill. This places is a great
place to level if your all alone so try and get in a channel by yourself.
