Flower Farm Excursion

This trip is a 2 1/2-hour trip to the beautiful Calla lily farm 20 minutes drive from Runda. Thirty different types of Calla grow on over 50 acres of farmland. Lewa Safari Camp

Lewa Safari Camp is a tented safari camp located within the Lewa Wilderness Trust, a 65,000 acre private wildlife conservancy. The conservancy is home to about ten percent of Kenyas black rhinos, and the largest population of Grevys zebra in the world. The camp has 12 safari tents, each tent consists of a main bedroom, en suite bathroom and a spacious verandah. Beautiful shaded gardens surround the lodge and meals are often served on the lawn. Msafini Guest House is a newly established hotel in Shella, constructed with a fine combination of both new and ancient design and architecture.The guest house is situated in such a location that it gives a complete view of the whole village as well as a clear scenery of the Indian ocean and other islands making up the Lamu archipelago. The main house is very spacious, with attractive sitting and lounging areas, hammocks and day beds in a beautiful tropical garden with swimming pool. The atmosphere is homely and welcoming. Rooms and living areas are tastefully furnished in traditional Swahili style. All bedrooms are ensuite, with hot water showers. Banana House has sea views from first and top floors and is about 5 minutes walk to the fabulous Shela Beach and Peponi Hotel. The house has a fully equipped kitchen at the disposal of house guests and also cooks who will prepare meals of your choice and will charge only for the ingredients. What sets it apart is the created atmosphere conducive to the stated aim of being a Wellness Centre.

Kijani House
Kijani House is a small, very exclusive and charming hotel overlooking the entrance to the Shela Channel on the island of Lamu. Fatumas Tower
Fatumas Tower is a garden paradise; a place to slow down and feel safe to let go. Only a 10-minute scenic stroll from Shelas pristine 12km beach, the historic tower and quiet gardens overlook the picturesque Shela sand dunes. The historic Tower was carefully restored and modified in 1998. Fatumas Tower offers eleven double rooms - all furnished with local antiques and fabrics in a simple yet elegant style to recreate the atmosphere of a fine Swahili house. No two rooms are the same and the cool, airy spaces retain an informal feel while several shaded balconies provide comfortable areas for enjoying the peace. The peaceful gardens have been recently enlivened by the refreshing sound of a fountain splashing over coral rocks into a small plunge pool. All rooms have solar powered hot water, fans and mosquito nets. Meals are usually taken communally around the long dining table, and breakfast, a palette of fresh fruit and squeezed juices, home made bread and eggs is served before the first yoga class or when you rise. Lunch and dinner bring more wholesome healthy delights of fresh seafood, pastas, salads and traditional Swahili recipes fused with Fiammettas Italian flair.
