Now I want to speech about forest deforestation. Forest deforestation is a situation where the forest area shows the decrease of quality and quantity. Indonesia has 1 ! of tropic forest in the world. "ntil now# Indonesia has lost $%! of the forest. The unresponsible logging makes shrink the area of forest. The timber businessman make the unresponsible lumber# the agricultural businessman open many new lands for their garden# and the mine businessman open the area of forest to look for mine. Now# the cause of deforestation be more comple&. The less of 'ustice make it more in serious condition. The cause of it can be like this. The forest of Indonesia has been promoted to the businessman# the 'ump of land open amount# illegal logging# the transmigration program# and the forest fire. (adies and gentlemen).. The first cause is the forest of Indonesia has been promoted to the businessman. *lose to seven million +a of nature forests# has been agreed to be the industry forest. ,any wood businessman makes a permission to the government and make an area of it in the forest. They cut down many trees# and 'ust move to the other of area without plant for any tree. (adies and gentlemen). Ne&t the second# the amount 'ump of land open. . ,ore less than nine millions +a of land are the nature forest# has been allocated to industry production plant. The land will be down or down in not a long time. -ut there are two millions +a of land had planted# and the other seven millions be unproduction land or being neglected. (adies and gentlemen). The other cause is the illegal logging. Illegal logging is a directly practice to cut the tree in the nation forest illegally. If we look for the kind of activity# illegal logging can be divided to logging plan and cutting the tree. The tree stealing is like a king. In the other year# between fifty and seventy percent wood of industry are cut illegally. The totally of tree that cut illegally are unknown# but one of general director of forest businessman said that stealing and cutting the forest illegally has been destroy more less than ten million ha of forest in Indonesia.

The other cause is the transmigration program. It began from 1./ till 1...# moved the inhabitant from the 0ava islands to the other island. It opened the land for more less than two millions +a of forest in totally of the period. Now# transmigration program suddenly increase because many inhabit go move to other island to look for a new bigger 'ob# or to avoid the social disturb or ethnic distinction. (adies and gentlemen)..

The last cause is the forest fire. big garden1s and local inhabit open the land with fire the forest# but it make the big uncontol fire and more than five millions +a forest fired in 1..2 and four point si& millions +a in 1..3. 4 little of it grow again an be a scrub. Normaly# turf land doesn1t easy to be fired# because the characteristic is like sponge# it can reserve the water incentive at the rain season# so at the dry season it will be not so e&treme. -ut if the turf land disturbed by conservation land or something like that# the so the ecology center of it will be disturbed too.
(adies and gentlemen).. In the end of my speech# I want to tell that our country has many nature rich and one of that is the forest. Forest is the lounge of world# so we have to keep it for the better life for us# and our grandchild in the generation to other generation. Thank you for the attention.
