Rationale
JISAC promotes best v best opportunity to play and compete in regional,
national and international competitions at the appropriate age of development.
However, like in any other game, children should be playing golf before
practicing golf.

JISAC believe, rules, expert coaching, and appropriate conditioning are
important for our students, but going to the driving range should never be a
chore. The ideal start for a new golfer is in a less-stressful environment with
parents or friends. A desire to learn more about golf should come from an
already-formed interest in the sport.
We want learning the game of golf to be a truly wonderful experience for our
students, to be full of special moments and memories of fun with their
families, coaches, and friends.

The JISAC Young Golfers Invitation caters for all students from Grade 1 - 10.
It is designed to encourage new golfers to experience the playing of golf, on a
real golf course, against local and national schools throughout Jeju Island and
Korea. This document highlights the essential information required to prepare
young golfers and register a school team in annual golf competition across
local golf courses.

How to Mark a Golf Scorecard Stroke
Play

The simplest way to mark the scorecard is very simple indeed. When playing
stroke play, count the number of strokes you've taken on the hole just
completed, and write that number down in the box corresponding to that hole
on the scorecard. At the end of each nine holes, tally up the strokes for your
front nine and back nine totals, respectively, then add up those two numbers
for your 18-hole score.

http://golf.about.com/od/beginners/ss/markscorecard.htm
The table below shows how to strokes to points.

Whatever your handicap - you should be looking to score a minimum of 36
points (2 points per hole x 18 holes). If you score 36 points, then you are
playing to your handicap. If you score less than 36 you game was below your
handicap. If you score more, then you were playing better than your
handicap.
Anything around 43 to 45 points or more - means you are just improving
quickly or you need your handicap reassessing.
Exemplar - 18 Handicap Player
If player 1 is an 18 Handicap Golfer she will receive one shot per hole.
Par 3 Example - Player 1 knows she should take 4 shots to complete a Par
3, as she receives one shot per hole. If she plays +1, she would have played
4 and get 2 points. If she plays 0 (i.e. par), she would have played one under
her awarded shots and therefore he would get 3 points. If she plays a -1
(Birdie), she would have played 2 under her awarded shots and would get 4
points.

Total Shots Played +/-

+2 or more 0
+1 1
0 2
-1 3
-2 4
-3 5
