Dear Prof. Clemencio Bascar:

I am Gabriel Achacoso Mon, 5th year BS- Architecture student at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, presently conducting my Thesis Writing phase. May I, therefore, gather data and information for my thesis about The Royal Palace of Sulu and Sabah. I have read your book, The Sultanate of Sulu: the Unconquered Kingdom, and it is one of my major and helpful references. My intention of sending you a letter is to have an ample information and sufficient data about the history and culture of Tausugs/ Moros and the Royal Sultanate in Sulu and Sabah, the geographical condition and availability of the Sulu. I will also conduct some interviews with you by some means. And conduct feasibility studies regarding the site location in Sulu and the feasibility of reconstructing Astana Darul Jambangan in Maimbung, Sulu. I hope you could help me doing this and so we could both help our country in preserving culture, progress of society and tourism, and sustainability of lands through efficient Architecture and Urban Planning. You could also send me an email if you would have some clarification and suggestions. Thank you so much and have a meaningful service for the youth and the future leaders of our nation.
