4$ ANALYSIS PHASE

System analysis is the in0depth study about the system 7"he essence of system analysis is to systematically investigate the ob.ects of the system and the criteria for effectiveness 6 and to evaluate the alternatives in terms of the effectiveness and cost 7"he result of the analysis is a requisitioning of the ob.ectives and criteria 6 formulation of new alternatives etc76 until the problem 6 the ob.ectives6 the assumption and the cost effectiveness of the alternatives are clarified7

RE=UIREMENT ANALYSIS
5ere the user9s requirement specifications for the pro.ect are found by analy<ing needs7 #ost often pro.ects are underta;en without determining if the solution conforms to user9s specifications 7"his therefore result in the end0product not meet the user9s specifications at all6 thus leading to a waste time7 "o avoid this6 even before designing the modules of a pro.ect 6 the user specifications must be ta;en care of7 "he pro.ect leader specifies the S!S)Software !equirment Specification*6which may include the following information7 1ist of colleges are in the proposed system %unctionalities e:pected by the proposed system Overview of eight universities6 down load form6 enter their articles etcH77 Users acceptance criteria for the pro.ect7)5ere it is time saving6 &redible6 User friendly6 User satisfaction etcHH
