M stems from the desire to work in a fast paced, intellectually stimulating environment focused on deal strategy. Ever since university, I have been interested in understanding the strategic rationale behind investment decisions. I strongly believe that as a Strategy Analyst at JPM, I would be able to marry my past education and work experience with my interests in inorganic growth. I have graduated with a BSc (Honours) in Economics, Politics and Philosophy (Economics major) at the University of Warwick in the UK and I am confident that the flexibility and quantitative and analytical ability the degree has provided will allow me to be a quick-learning, effective problem solver qualities that I believe are necessary to be successful in J.P. Morgans Corporate & Investment Banking Strategy Group. The current experience I have at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) is well suited to the current role at JPM as I have contributed to partner search-and-screening exercises to identify acquisition targets, built market entry strategies and analyzed revenue drivers for clients, among other projects. My main responsibility is to find creative ways to gather and analyze data and then synthesize and prepare presentations of the findings for senior management and clients. Prior to this role, I lead an operations project for the India Leadership Team of PwC Tax to improve their visibility on the firms financial metrics. This involved liaising across HR and IT functions to build a live dashboard to be used by over 200 senior managers, associate directors and partners. The outcome of the project was significant improvements in debt collection and project management. My time in University included an internship with Everstone Capitals research division where I assisted the private equity team in identifying attractive industries for investment. My contribution to the project involved analyzing the effect of migration on demographics in key Indian states and the potential opportunities that may arise from the structural changes in demographics. Through the above experiences I have developed my ability to multi-task, prioritize and maintain productivity under enormous time pressure as well as gain exposure to numerous databases.
