Prayer Before a Crucifix (For the prayers, intentions and
needs, of our Pope, for those who serve and those who
will follow him.)
Look down upon me Good and Gentle Jesus, while before Thy
face we humbly kneel; and with burning soul we pray and
beseech Thee to fix deep in our hearts lively sentiments of
faith, hope and charity, true contrition for our sins and a firm
purpose of amendment, while we contemplate with great love
and tender pity Thy five wounds, pondering over them within
us and calling to mind the words which David Thy prophet said
of Thee my Jesus. “They have pierced My Hands and My Feet,
they have numbered all of My Bones.”
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be …
Prayer for Priests Keep them, I pray Thee, Dearest Lord.
Keep them, for they are Thine. Thy priests whose lives burn
out before Thy consecrated shrine. Keep them, for they are in
the world. Though from the world apart. When earthly
pleasures tempt, allure, Shelter them in Thy Heart. Keep them,
and comfort them in hours of loneliness and pain. When all of
their lives of sacrifice for souls, seems but in vain. Keep them,
and O remember Lord, They have no one but Thee, Yet they
have only human hearts, With human frailty. Keep them as
spotless as the Host, That daily they caress. Their every
thought, word and deed, Deign, dearest Lord to bless.
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Mary Queen of Clergy, Pray for
them
Prayer for the Souls in Purgatory
O gentle Heart of Jesus, ever present in the Blessed
Sacrament, ever consumed with burning love for the poor
captive souls in Purgatory, have mercy on them.
Be not severe in Your judgments, but let some drops of Your
precious blood fall upon the devouring flames.
And, Merciful Savior, send Your angels to conduct them to a
place of refreshment, light and peace. Amen.
Eternal rest grant them, O Lord; and let Your perpetual light
shine upon them.
Anima Christi (Prayers After Mass and Communion)
Soul of Christ, sanctify me.
Body of Christ, save me. Blood of Christ, fill me.
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passion of Christ, strengthen me.
O Good Jesus, hear me. Within Your wounds, hide me.
Suffer me not to be, separated from You.
From the malignant enemy, defend me.
In the hour of my death, call me. Bid me come unto You.
That with Your saints, I may praise You. Forever and ever.
Amen.

The Golden Arrow
May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable, most
incomprehensible and ineffable Name of God, be forever
praised, blessed, loved, adored and glorified, in Heaven, on
earth, and under the earth, by all the creatures of God, and by
the Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Most Holy
Sacrament of the Altar. Amen.

Son for the honor and glory of Thy Name, for the conversion of

Prayer to the Infant of Prague
O merciful Infant Jesus, I know of Your miraculous deeds for
the sick. In view of the innumerable graces and cures granted
through the veneration of Your Holy Infancy, particularly in the
statue of Prague. I exclaim with greatest assurance; O most
loving, Infant Jesus, You can cure us if You will. Extend Your
holy hand and by Your power, take away all pain and infirmity
of all of our family and friends and all those in most need in
this world.
Prayer for the Helpless Unborn & Little Children
Heavenly Father, You create men in Your own image, and
desire that not even the least among us should perish.
In Your love for us, You entrusted Your only Son to the
Holy Virgin Mary. Now, in Your love protect against the
wickedness of the devil, those innocent little ones to
whom You have given the gift of life and convert all of
those who may contemplate, have participated or
assisted in the tragic sin of abortion. Convert all of
those who create immoral laws and defend sins
against life and holiness. Bring all children safely into
this world, free from deformities & disease and bless &
guide all those entrusted to their care. May they grow
to be healthy, holy and pure, all the days of their lives.
Amen.
Prayer to Saint Michael
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our
protection against the wickedness and snares of the
devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do
Thou O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the Divine
power of God, cast into hell, satan and all of the evil
spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of
souls. Amen.

Prayer to Saint Francis of Assisi
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light. And where there is sadness,
joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be
consoled, as to console. To be loved, as to love. For it is in
giving, that we receive. It is in pardoning, that we are
pardoned. And it is in dying, that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.

those who have fallen through the cracks of society and give
renewed energy to those who help. Touch those who need
healing, deliver the addicted and forgive the sins of the dying.
Help us to respond fervently with heartfelt generosity to the
opportunities of doing good for others in Your name. Amen.

Litany of Humility
O Jesus, meek & humble of heart, hear me…
From the desire of being esteemed,
From the desire of being loved,
From the desire of being extolled,
From the desire of being honored,
From the desire of being praised,
From the desire of being preferred,
From the desire of being consulted,
From the desire of being approved,
Deliver me, Jesus…
From the fear of being humiliated,
From the fear of being despised,
From the fear of suffering rebukes,
From the fear of being calumniated,
From the fear of being forgotten,
From the fear of being ridiculed,
From the fear of being wronged,
From the fear of being suspected,
Deliver me, Jesus…
That others may be loved more than I,
That others may be esteemed more than I,
That in the opinion of the world, others may increase & I may
decrease,
That others may be chosen and I set aside,
That others may be praised and I unnoticed,
That others may be preferred to me in everything,
That others may become holier than I, provided that I may
become as holy as I should,
Jesus grant me the grace to desire it.
Prayer to the Holy Spirit
Come, Holy Spirit, fill my heart with Your holy gifts. Let my
weakness be penetrated with Your strength this very
day, that I may fulfill all the duties of my state
conscientiously, that I may do what is right and just. Let
my charity be such as to offend no one, and hurt no
one’s feelings; so generous, as to pardon sincerely any
wrong done by me or to me. Assist me, O Holy Spirit, in
all my trials of life, enlighten me in my ignorance, advise
me in my doubts, strengthen me in my weakness, help
me in all my needs, protect me in temptations and
console me in afflictions. Graciously hear me, O Holy
Spirit, and pour Your light into my heart, my soul, and
my mind. Assist me to live a holy life and to grow in
goodness and grace. Amen.

Saint Joseph Patron of Workers
O glorious patriarch, Saint Joseph, humble and just craftsman
of Nazareth, you gave all Christians, but particularly to us, an
example of a perfect life of assiduous work and admirable
unity with Mary and Jesus. Help us in our daily work that we
might find it an effective means of glorifying our Lord,
sanctifying ourselves and of being useful to the society in
which we live. Obtain for us from our Lord, O beloved
protector, humility and simplicity of heart, attachment to work,
benevolence towards those who work with us, compliance with
the divine will in the difficulties of this life and joy in bearing
them, consciousness of our specific social mission, the sense
of our social responsibility, a spirit of discipline and prayer,
docility and respect for our superiors, fraternity towards our
equals, support in times of stress, charity and indulgence for
our dependents. Help us to follow your example and to keep
our site fixed on Mary, our Mother, your gentle wife, who wove
silently in a corner of your humble shop, smiling sweetly. May
we never avert our eyes from Jesus, who worked beside you at
your carpenter’s bench, so that we in like manner, may lead
peaceful and holy lives on earth, the prelude to the eternally
happy one, which awaits us in Heaven forever more. Amen.
Prayer to Saint Joseph for Employment
Dear Saint Joseph, you also were once faced with the
responsibility of providing the necessities of life
for Jesus and Mary. Look down with fatherly
compassion upon those in anxiety over their
present inability to support their families. Please
help them to find gainful employment very soon,
so that this heavy burden of concern will be lifted
from their hearts and that they may be able to
provide for those whom God has entrusted to their
care. Help them to guard against bitterness and
discouragement, so that they may emerge from
this trial spiritually enriched and with even greater
blessings from God. Amen.
Prayer to Saint Joseph
O Saint Joseph whose protection is so great, so strong, so
prompt before the throne of God. I place in you all my
interests and desires. Do assist me by your powerful
intercession and obtain for me from your Divine Son, all
spiritual blessings through Jesus Christ, Our Lord; so that
having engaged here below your Heavenly power, I may offer
my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers. O
Saint Joseph, I never weary, contemplating you and Jesus
asleep in your arms. I dare not approach while He reposes
near your heart. Press Him in my name and kiss His fine Head
for me, and ask Him to return the kiss when I draw my dying

breath. Saint Joseph, Patron of departing souls, pray for us.
Amen.
Efficacious Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be
opened to you”, behold, I knock, I seek and I ask for the
grace of . . .
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Sacred Heart of Jesus I put all my trust in
Thee.

I. O my Jesus, You said, “verily I say unto you, whatsoever

you shall ask the Father in My name, He will give it to you”,
behold, in Your name, I ask the Father for the grace of . . .
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Sacred Heart of Jesus I put all my trust in
Thee.
II. O my Jesus, You said, “verily I say unto you, heaven and
earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away”,
behold, I encouraged by Your infallible words, now ask for
the grace of:
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Sacred Heart of Jesus I put all my trust in
Thee.
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, to whom one thing alone is
impossible, namely, not to have compassion on the afflicted,
have pity on us miserable sinners and grant us the grace
which we ask of Thee through the Sorrowful and Immaculate
Heart of Mary, Your and our tender Mother.
Hail Holy Queen… etc, Saint Joseph foster father of Jesus, pray for us.

O Lord Jesus Christ, in presenting ourselves before Thine

adorable Face to ask of Thee the graces of which we stand in
most need, we beseech Thee, above all, to grant us that
interior disposition of never refusing at any time to do what
Thou requirest of us by Thy holy commandments and divine
inspirations. Amen.
O Good Jesus, who hast said, “Ask and you shall receive, seek
and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you,” grant
us, O Lord, that faith which obtains all, or supply in us what
may be deficient; grant us, by the pure effect of Thy charity,
and for Thine eternal glory, the graces which we need and
which we look for from Thine infinite mercy. Amen.
Be merciful to us, O my God, and reject not our prayers, when
amid our afflictions, we call upon Thy Holy Name and seek
with love and confidence Thine adorable Face. Amen.
O Almighty and Eternal God, look upon the Face of Thy Son
Jesus. We present it to Thee with confidence, to implore Thy
pardon. The All-Merciful Advocate opens His mouth to plead
our cause; hearken to His cries, behold His tears, O God, and
through His infinite merits, hearken to Him when He
intercedes for us poor miserable sinners. Amen.
O Divine Jesus, through Thy Face and Name, save us. Our
hope is in the virtue of Thy Holy Name!

Act of Contrition
O my God, I am heartily sorry for all my sins. In
choosing to do wrong and failing to do good. I have
sinned against You, whom I should love above all
things. Because of them I deserve the eternal pains of
hell, but most of all, I have offended Thee, my God,
who art all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly
resolve with the help of Thy grace to confess my sins,
do penance, avoid the near occasion of sin and sin no
more. Amen.
Padre Pio Prayer O Jesus, full of grace and charity,
victim for sinners, so impelled by love for us that
You willed to die on the cross. We humbly
beseech You to glorify in heaven and earth, the
Servant of God, Padre Pio who generously
participated in Your sufferings, who loved You so
much and labored so faithfully for the glory of
Your heavenly Father and for the good of souls.
With confidence we beseech You to grant us, through
his intercession, the grace of a complete conversion
and confession of our sinfulness and the graces which
we ardently desire.
Glory be…etc. (3 times)

22 (Eucharistic
Adoration)
Stations of the Cross ~ Preparatory Prayer
Whoever wishes to come after Me, must deny himself, take up
his cross, and follow Me.
My Lord, most merciful Jesus Christ, Thou hast made this
journey to die for me with unutterable love, and I so many
times unworthily abandoned Thee; but now with a contrite
heart and penitent spirit, I bow down in profound humility
before Thy divine majesty and ask Thy pardon. Permit me my
God, to accompany Thee on this journey. I adore Thee as my
supreme Lord and Master; I believe in Thee, I hope in Thee, I
love Thee above all things. I am heartily sorry for having
offended Thee, my Supreme and Only God. I resolve to amend
my life, and although I am unworthy, yet the sight of Thy holy
cross, on which Thou didst die, inspires me with hope and
consolation.
O most merciful Redeemer, who hast said, “And I, if I be lifted
from earth, will draw all things to Myself,” draw my heart and
my love to Thee, that I may perform this devotion as perfectly
as possible, and that I may live and die in union with Thee.
Amen. 14
First Station: Jesus is Condemned to Death
We adore Thee, O Christ, and we praise Thee.
Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
Pilate took water and washed his hands in the sight of the
crowd, saying, “I am innocent of this Man’s blood.” Jesus,
most innocent, so meek and uncomplaining, who neither did
nor could commit a sin, was unjustly scourged, crowned with
thorns and condemned to die on the cross.
My adorable Jesus, it was my sins that condemned Thee, to
suffer and die. Grant that I may detest my sins and by this
repentance, obtain Thy mercy and pardon. Assist my soul on
it’s journey towards eternity and teach me resignation in my
trials. Grant that I may love Thee always and then do with me
what Thou wilt.
Our Father. Hail Mary. Glory Be.
Lord Jesus, crucified, Have mercy on us!
Second Station: Jesus Carries His Cross
We adore Thee, O Christ, and we praise Thee.
Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
So they took Jesus, and carrying the cross Himself, He went
out to the Place of the Skull, Golgotha. Jesus beheld the cross,
joyfully stretched out His bleeding arms, lovingly embraced it,
tenderly kissed it, and placed it on His bruised shoulders,
offering it for us to His Father.
My most beloved Jesus, I beseech Thee, by the merits of Thy
pain Thou didst suffer in carrying Thy cross, to give me the
necessary help to carry mine, with perfect patience and
resignation. Grant by virtue of Thy Cross, that I may accept
the difficulties Thou hast destined for me with meekness and
cheerful submission, until death. O dearly beloved cross. I
embrace thee, I kiss thee, I joyfully accept thee from the
hands of my God...
Our Father. Hail Mary. Glory Be.
Lord Jesus, crucified, Have mercy on us!

15
Third Station: Jesus falls the First Time.
We adore Thee, O Christ, and we praise Thee.
Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
Jesus, our dear Savior, His flesh torn by scourges, His head
crowned with thorns, so weakened by the heavy burden upon
His shoulders, fell exhausted to the ground.
O my Jesus, it is not the weight of the cross, but of my sins,
which have made Thee suffer so much pain. By the merits of
this first fall, deliver me O Lord from falling into sin. Thou didst
bear my burden and the heavy weight of my sins. Should I,
then, not bear in union with Thee, my easy burden of suffering
and accept the sweet yoke of Thy commandments? May the
thought of Thy sufferings make me ever watchful over myself
from falling into sin. Thy yoke is sweet and Thy burden is light.
I therefore willingly accept it. I will take up my cross and
follow Thee...
Our Father. Hail Mary. Glory Be.
Lord Jesus, crucified, Have mercy on us!

Forth Station: Jesus meets His Sorrowful Mother.

We adore Thee, O Christ, and we praise Thee.
Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
How painful and sad it must have been for Mary, to behold her
beloved Son, laden with the burden of the cross. What
unspeakable wounds her most tender heart experienced. How
earnestly did she desire to die in place of Jesus, or at least
with Him.
O Jesus, O Mary, I am the cause of the painful arrows which
pierced Thy loving hearts. Oh, that I may experience at least
some of Thy sufferings and obtain a continual and tender
remembrance of Thy Sorrowful Passion. O Jesus, by the
compassion which You felt for Thy Mother, have compassion
on me and grant me a share in her intercession. Most afflicted
Mother, intercede for me, that through the sufferings which
thou and Thy Son endured for me, that I may bear with
courage, the sorrows of this life, and enjoy Thy assistance in
the hour of my death. O Jesus, may no human tie, however
dear, keep me from following the road of the Cross...
Our Father. Hail Mary. Glory Be.
Lord Jesus, crucified, Have mercy on us!

16
Fifth Station: Simon of Cyrene helps Jesus carry His
Cross.
We adore Thee, O Christ, and we praise Thee.
Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
Afraid that He may die on the way, when they wished Him to
die the ignominious death on the cross at Calvary, they made
Simon help Him with His Cross. Simon unwillingly assisted
Jesus. Jesus accepts and invites your assistance, How willingly
do you accept the weight of the cross?
My most sweet Jesus, I will not refuse Thy cross, I accept the
life and death Thou hast destined for me, with all of the pains
which may accompany it. I will be Thy assistant, following in
Thy bloody footsteps. Inspire me also to console You with
prayers of reparation and love, that I may follow Thee to
eternal life...
Our Father. Hail Mary. Glory Be.
Lord Jesus, crucified, Have mercy on us!
Sixth Station: Veronica wipes the Face of Jesus.
We adore Thee, O Christ, and we praise Thee.
Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
Impelled by the pain and sorrow shown on His holy face,
Veronica wipes the sweat and blood from His face with her
veil. Jesus imprints on it, His holy countenance: a great
recompense for such a small but loving gesture. What return
do you make to your Savior for His great sacrifice and love?
Most merciful Jesus, What return shall I make for all the
benefits Thou hast bestowed upon me? My soul also was once
beautiful, when it received Thy grace in Baptism, but I have
disfigured it since with my sins. By Thy Passion, O Jesus, Thou
alone can restore it to its former beauty. Behold, I consecrate
myself entirely to Thy service. I offer and consecrate my heart
to Thee. Imprint on it Thy sacred image, never again to be
effaced by sin.
Our Father. Hail Mary. Glory Be.
Lord Jesus, crucified, Have mercy on us!

17
Seventh Station: Jesus falls the Second Time.
We adore Thee, O Christ, and we praise Thee.
Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
The suffering Jesus falls again, under the heavy weight of His
cross, renewing the pains of all the wounds of His head and
body. Pushing and striking Him, the cruel executioners do not
permit Him to rest for even a moment.
O most gentle Jesus, my repeated falls into sin have added to
the burden which Thou hast carried for my redemption. Grant
me the strength and perseverance that I may earnestly strive
to reform and not fall again and relapse into my former sins.
By Thy grace, without which I can do nothing, strengthen me
to commend myself to Thee when faced with temptations that
assail me.
Our Father. Hail Mary. Glory Be.
Lord Jesus, crucified, Have mercy on us!

Eighth Station: The Women of Jerusalem Weep for

Jesus.
We adore Thee, O Christ, and we praise Thee.
Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
Moved with compassion, the women weep over the suffering
Savior as He passes. But He turns to them and says, “Weep
not for Me, Who am innocent, but weep for yourselves and for
your children.” Weep thou also, for there is nothing more
pleasing to Our Lord and nothing more profitable for thyself,
than tears shed from contrition of thy sins.
My most beloved Jesus, laden with sorrow, I weep for the
offenses that I have committed against Thee, because of the
pains they deserve and still more, because of the displeasure
which they have caused Thee, Who hast loved me so much. It
is Thy love, more than the fear of Hell, which causes me to
weep for my sins. O Jesus, just as Thou hast instructed the
women of Jerusalem, please instruct me in the ways of virtue,
help me to escape the dreadful judgments prepared for those
who reject or neglect Thee in this life.
Our Father. Hail Mary. Glory Be.
Lord Jesus, crucified, Have mercy on us!

18
Ninth Station: Jesus falls the Third Time.
We adore Thee, O Christ, and we praise Thee.
Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
What a fearfully oppressive burden our sins must have been.
Arriving exhausted at the foot of Calvary, Jesus falls to the
ground for the third time. His weakness extreme, and the
cruelty relentless, however, His love for us never diminished.

O most merciful Jesus, how many times Thou hast pardoned

me, and how many times have I fallen again, and begun again
to offend Thee? I return Thee infinite thanks for not permitting
me to continue to sin and to fall, as I so often deserved, into
the depths of Hell. Be Thou my strength and perseverance
especially when I am most weary upon life’s journey. Enkindle
in me an earnest desire of amendment; let me never again
relapse, but grant me the grace to persevere in penance to
the end of my life.
Our Father. Hail Mary. Glory Be.
Lord Jesus, crucified, Have mercy on us!

Tenth Station: Jesus is Stripped of His Garments

We adore Thee, O Christ, and we praise Thee.
Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
That He might die possessed of nothing, Jesus is violently
stripped of His garments. His wounds renewed as the parts of
His blood torn body which had adhered to them, are torn off
with them. They divided up His garments among them, and
cast lots for them.
O most innocent Jesus, by the pains You suffered in having
Your clothing torn from Your bleeding body, strip me of all
affection, conceit and pride to things of this world. My soul has
been robbed of its innocence; clothe me, Dear Jesus, with the
garb of penance and contrition. Instruct me in the ways of
humility, purity of intention and simplicity of heart, in order
that I may place all my love in Thee.
Our Father. Hail Mary. Glory Be.
Lord Jesus, crucified, Have mercy on us!

19
Eleventh Station: Jesus is Nailed to the Cross
We adore Thee, O Christ, and we praise Thee.
Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
They crucified Him, and with two others, one on each side,
with Jesus in the middle. Pilate had an inscription written and
put on the cross that read “Jesus the Nazarene, the King of
the Jews.” Thrown on the cross, Jesus extended His hands,
and offered to His Eternal Father, the sacrifice of His life for
our salvation. With even more excruciating pain His hands and
feet were nailed to the cross. Yet, He bravely and patiently
remained silent, to please His heavenly Father, suffering all
for me. How do I react to sufferings and troubles? How fretful,
impatient and full of complaints am I?
O Jesus, gracious Lamb of God, I renounce forever my
impatience and ingratitude. Thou didst forgive Thy enemies;
my God, teach me to forgive injuries and forget them. Crucify,
O Lord, my flesh and its sinful hungers, scourge, scathe and
punish me in this world, do but spare me in the next. Nail my
heart to Thy feet, that it may be united to Thee until death. I
commit my destiny to Thee, surrendering myself to Thy holy
will, May Thy will be done in all things...
Our Father. Hail Mary. Glory Be.
Lord Jesus, crucified, Have mercy on us!
Twelfth Station: Jesus Dies on the Cross
We adore Thee, O Christ, and we praise Thee.
Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
For three agonizing hours Jesus slowly dies on the cross. When
Jesus had taken the wine, He said “It is finished.” Bowing His
head, He handed over His Spirit. Jesus our Lord is crucified,
His work perfectly done. Behold His wounds, received for the
love of you. His head is bent to kiss you, His arms extended to
embrace you, His heart open to receive you. O
superabundance of love, Jesus, the Son of God, dies upon the
cross, that man may live and be delivered from everlasting
death...
O most loving Jesus, I embrace the holy Cross whereon You
loved us even unto death. I thank Thee for Thy sacrifice, and I
desire to love You as much as You love me. May we in Your
example, Love one another unto death. Give me grace to die
embracing Thy feet and burning with love for Thee. I will at
least endeavor to die to the world. I commit my soul into Thy
hands. I love Thee with my whole heart; I repent of ever
having offended Thee. Never permit me to offend Thee again.
Grant that I may love Thee always, and then do with me what
Thou wilt.
Our Father. Hail Mary. Glory Be.
Lord Jesus, crucified, Have mercy on us!
20
Thirteenth Station: Jesus is taken from the Cross
and laid in the arms of His Mother
We adore Thee, O Christ, and we praise Thee.
Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
Two of Jesus’ disciples, Joseph and Nicodemus, took Him down
from the cross and placed Him in the loving arms of His
Mother. We grieve with thee, O Mary, for the sorrow you
experienced as you tenderly embraced the lifeless and
mangled body of your dear sacred Son.
O Mother of Sorrow, for the love of your Son, accept me for
thy servant, and please pray to Him for me. Receive me into
thy arms, O Sorrowful Mother; and obtain for me a perfect
contrition for my sins. And my Dearest Jesus my Redeemer,
since Thou hast died for me, please permit me to love and
serve Thee completely all the days that I may live.
Our Father. Hail Mary. Glory Be.
Lord Jesus, crucified, Have mercy on us!

Fourteenth Station: Jesus is laid in the Tomb.

We adore Thee, O Christ, and we praise Thee.
Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
The body of Jesus is carried to a stranger’s sepulcher. He who
in this world had not whereupon to rest His head, would not
even have a grave of His own, because He was not of this
world. You who are so attached to this world, henceforth
despise it, that you may not perish with it.
O Jesus, Thou hast set me apart from the world; what then
shall I seek therein? Thou hast created me for Heaven; what
then, have I to do the world? Depart from me, deceitful world,
with thy vanities! Henceforth I will follow the Way of the
Cross, traced out for me by my Redeemer, and journey
onward to my heavenly home, there to dwell forever and ever.
When I receive Thee into my heart in Holy Communion, O
Jesus, make it a fit and abiding place for Thy adorable Body.
Amen.
Our Father. Hail Mary. Glory Be.
Lord Jesus, crucified, Have mercy on us!

21
Almighty God, whose command is over all and whose love
never fails, make me aware of Thy presence and obedient to
Thy will. Keep me true to my best self, guarding me against
dishonesty in purpose and deed and helping me to live so that
I can face my fellow man, my loved ones and Thee without
shame or fear. Protect my family. Give me the will to do the
work of a true & faithful servant and to accept my share of
responsibilities with vigor and enthusiasm. Grant me the
courage to be proficient in my daily performance. Keep me
loyal and faithful to my superiors and to the duties You have
entrusted to me. Make me considerate of those committed to
my leadership. Help me to wear my cross with dignity, and let
it remind me daily of the values which I must uphold.
If I am inclined to doubt, steady my faith. If I am tempted,
make me strong to resist. If I should miss the mark, give me
the courage to try again.
Guide me with the light of truth and grant me the wisdom by
which I may understand the answers to my prayers. AMEN...

1
Universal Prayer
O Lord, we Thank You for all of our blessings and graces we
so often seem to take for granted. Thank You for Your loving
presence, the wonderful children, people and beauty of this
world that surrounds us. Thank You for our health &
happiness, the answers to our prayers, deliverance from our
sinful desires, comfort in times of sadness & pain. For our
priests, the graces of Your holy sacraments, Your divine love &
forgiveness and thank You Lord, for not giving up on us, as we
so often deserve. Please be with us always, help us never to
stray from Your presence and to never take Your unconditional
love for granted.
O Lord, we pray for Your protection, guidance and
deliverance from evil & infirmities for: our loved ones,
relatives, friends, associates, those who we have passed by,
those in authority over us and those who protect & serve us.
We pray for the innocent unborn, the afflicted, the imprisoned,
the needy, the sorrowful, the sad, the lonely, those addicted to
sin, for those known and unknown to us. Those who
misunderstand our motives. Those who in all sincerity, oppose
us. Those who do not like us. The souls of the faithful
departed, our loved ones and those most abandoned in
purgatory, so easily forgotten.
We pray: For the peace, comfort & guidance of Your Holy
Spirit in our hearts, in our homes, in the world and in the
Church. For the reign of Christ in the hearts of all. That all will
come to know, love and serve Christ, to see Him as their
redeemer, their Lord and God. That they will accept His
teachings and seek to live ever in the state of grace. For the
conversion of sinners. That those touched by God’s grace will
respond, repent and come to know the joy of a heart at peace
with God.
For Christian unity. “That all may be one,” in fulfillment of
the prayer of Christ at the Last Supper. For healing, guidance
and protection of marriages, broken homes and the children
entrusted to us. That we all may be solidly bonded together
forever, become more holy and pure, obedient, patient, loving
and wise.
For social justice. That all in the spirit of Christ will be
brothers and sisters in Christ, so discrimination disappears.
That all will be charitable and help the poor, the suffering and
downtrodden. Protect and guide those who make laws, those
in authority and those who serve. That law and order will be
observed. That crime and immorality will be lessened.
For the universal church. That God may bless, guide and
strengthen our Pope and all his labors. That bishops, priests
and religious everywhere, may give their lives for Christ
totally, prayerfully, unreservedly and with a spirit of sacrifice.
That they may be converted of their shortcomings and any
misconceptions that may lead others astray.
For vocations. That many may heed our Lord’s invitation:
“Come follow me.” That those called, respond to and
persevere in their vocations and holiness.
