l ob ecti!es "#$%&' Students should know The importance of photosynthesis in plants . Importance of plants as producers for all living things to survive in this world. To know different parts of a plant. Able to draw different parts of a plant and label them. To learn the important functions of different parts of a plant . Able to differentiate plants as herbs, shrubs , trees ,climbers and creepers.

P()*&+T)+TPlants are the lungs of our planet. It goes through the process of photosynthesis and helps in balancing the amount of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Teacher statements responses "hat is photosynthesis# "hy are plants able to make their food# $%hlorophyll is a green pigment that is mostly present in the leaves of a plant. It helps in trapping sunlight and activates the process. Student responses !uestions $Photosynthesis is a process which helps the plant to make their food. $ Plants are able to make their food because of the green pigment called chlorophyll. In plants ,while making food what is the importance of chlorophyll #

$As all living beings cant make their own food &ow is photosynthesis important for us in the presence of chlorophyll ,water, carbon 'r other living things# dioxide and nutrients. So, all living things have to depend on plants for food. )on*t we also make food# (o we cant make food with inorganic substances like water ,carbon dioxide etc but off course your mama cooks food. "hy are plants called producers# Since plants make their own food and produce food for us , so they are called producers.

I am sure now you understand the importance of ++ plants as producers as well as for survival for all living things.

Discussion ,interaction and learning of specific function of plant partsTeacher carries a small plant in a class and draws the diagram of a plant with proper labeling and describes its parts and specific important function of each parts of a plant . ,very child draws the diagram with proper labeling in their copy and learns the function of it.
