Board Report
Dear CornerStone Family, At our recent board meeting we had the joyful opportunity to approve and comission Cris and Daniela Jones out as our newest long-term missionaries. They will be working in Shell, Ecuador as associates with Young Life International. Theirs is an evangelistic ministry to street kids. They do this by hosting club trips, adventures and camps in the national parks of Ecuador. They also hold weekly meetings in town. We are talking to other applicants as well so we thank Jesus for these willing hearts. I reported to the board on my trip to Uganda and South Sudan to visit Amanda Samrani. Right after I left, South Sudan had a coup attempt by a disgruntled general in the S. Sudan army named Machar. His tribe is Nuer and the presidents is Dinka. These two tribes have a long history of territorial conflict. It has the potential to explode into a civil war. My takeGod loves the tribe but He hates tribalism.

Due to a "Non-Renewable" notice that was stamped across Janine's file containing her visa request to remain in Zimbabwe, she has been forced to relocate to South Africa in Simmons Town, near Cape Town. Her last update stated that her apartment "has a view of the ocean, electricity and water all the time and 75 degrees with a slight breeze Janine Roberts, Grace, Abby so exile is not too bad so far :) Please pray God will really guide me over the next weeks, that it would be a productive time and a source of direction for what is next." The programs she founded will continue and she will visit (on a tourist visa) several times a year to oversee the happenings at Fairfield orphanage. She will also be able to keep up with Grace and Abby (the twins Janine is still hoping to adopt) as they grow up under the watchful eye of their house mother. Please continue to pray for her and her girls.
Julia Barnett (Estelle's sister, see August '13 cover letter) is serving (short-term, full-time) in Honduras at Loma de Luz Hospital and El Camino (the bilingual school), as well as discipling and spending time with the kids at the Sanctuary House. She has served, off and on, there (mostly 'on'!) since 2008.

Renee has returned to Honduras after a year in England at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. In her annual report, she says: "I was incredibly blessed with the opportunity to complete my Masters in Public Health in Developing countries in London. Through this education, I have become even more passionate about working in Public Health." She is working with Jeff and Rosanne McKenney to determine how to implement her education to best serve the people of La Ceiba.
