Fuel Efficiency: consumption, bio-diesel, cost savings Reliability: MDBF, service delays, breakdowns Maintainability: maintenance costs and durability Acquisition Cost: cost savings (Results will be factored in to the decision for selecting the next propulsion system)

July 2013 SFMTA advances New Flyers offer as the most costeffective & expeditious way to procure 50 buses
July 2013 SFMTA worked with City Attorney to prepare contract based on New Flyers offer Approved by: SFMTA Board 10/15/13 SFMTA Budget & Finance 10/23/13 Board of Supervisors 10/29/13 November 6, 2013 SFMTA issued a notice to proceed (NTP) to New Flyer for the 50 bus procurement December 6, 2013 first bus accepted
