Student Teaching: Not that Easy!

What if every day is just like every other day? You wake up just to go to school. You got nothing to overthink, and nothing to worry. You are just one of those students who attend classes late and one of those students who failed to make his or her assignments and study his or her lessons and got in the zero in the exam. A life that is very different from the life of a teacher. Last Thursday, 18th of July, first day of student teacher. Overwhelming? Not that really, its just that there were a lot of butterflies flying in your stomach. Many times Ive rehearsed the same question in my head, How would a Biology major would deliver or teach Physics stuff to the students? Im really quite nervous because youre not just dealing one personality but several of them. Individual differences, thats how we call it. And oh before I forgot, another thing that makes me nervous is the sharp eyes of your STM. Im very much conscious with my actions. There were certain times that I almost forgot what to say especially when they are noisy. Hmmm I got lost in the wild (hahaha lost in the wild talaga). I somehow manage to end the session without crying. One thing Im afraid to see was the comments from my STM. Im hesitant to get my LP and my observation sheet. I thought that there were be a lot of things to ponder but in slow motion, I checked it. All I can say it, wow! the comments were better than my performance, thats how I view it although there were also things to ponder. Yet I realize

that I should look forward for this to have more room for improvement. I should accept criticism whether it is good or bad because there were things that you didnt see but others did. Aside from student teaching, the acquaintance celebration for ALS were quite fun. We are able to manage the activities. Though, it was quite hard because there were a lot of them but somehow we did. One thing I would like to suggest is that, ALS should be in third year so that there would be fewer burdens, I guess. We experience and then we learn, if we are willing to. Student teaching is like centripetal force. The object moving in circular motion over your head because centripetal force is greater than gravity and its moving in constant motion. Thus if faith is greater than doubt, then you can do it but faith is not something you gain overnight. It takes time.
