for Johnson County Attorney
xAP ICE R ST
Meet John
John Zimmerman is a long-time social justice activist and former pastor, who came to law school in mid-life to help do his part to make the criminal justice system more just for all; he has seen first hand how the system often mistreats both victims and defendants, especially when they are people of color or poor. John is running for the Democratic nomination for Johnson County Attorney to end the current over prosecution of victimless crimes and replace it with a progressive approach to criminal justice. John is a graduate of the University of Iowa's law school and lives in Iowa City.
