Report from April 15-21

COCA COLA INTERNSHIP DAY 1


Well my journey of summer internship in coca cola starts from 15 April 2013.I went out from home at 8:30a.m to Bishnoi dharma shala where all peoples are gathered. Its morning so everyone take tea and coffee from shri ganga tea stall.Then the superior Mr.O.P Choudhary gives target to everyone and provide me a mentor mr. Pawan Kaser who is m.d(Market developer) he use his bike and give me behind seat of bike. Then we went to murlidhar and reached their 9:30 am where we meet distributer and give him the order slip and he loaded the item such as coca cola,limca,sprite,maza,kinley water and soda. Then we went to many place such as sarwoday basti,mukta prasad colony and finally at 6:30 we take all the orders of retailers for tomorrow and then i went to home. I learn many things how to talk with retailers and if they dont accept our product then we offer them scheme on product. Given below is the rate of product which we sell.

DAY 2
The next day of summer internship in coke just like 1st day i went to a place where the GATE meeting with all the members is held and after shaking hand with all of them the target is set by the boss Mr. O.P Choudhary and they gave me a another mentor his name is Sunil SwamiM.D(market developer).They take me on his bike it was 9:38a.m we went to near balaji paan bhandar who is situated near the junagarh Bus stand. I took her interview and ask many questions which are as follows:Me:who is the owner of this shop? Shopkeeper:well my name is lalchand nephew of the owner Me:maximum sales time in a day? Mr. Virmdatt Gehlot .

Lalchand:Morning and Evening because it is the time of arrival and departure time of buses. Me:whats the timing of shop opening and closing in a day? Lalchand:from 6:30a.m to 11.00 p.m. Me:what people more prefer? Lalcahnd:they want maza because it is health conscious and mostly people demand big pack of cold drinks such as 1.25 Ltr.,600ml and 2.25 Ltr. cold drinks. Then we moved to next shop that is Shankar restaurant whos owner is Daulat singh from where we take orders of cold drinks. Which are as follows:200 ml:maza 1,fanta 1,coca cola 1,thums up 1. 600 ml:thums up 1 sprite 1, limca 1. 1.25 ltr: thums up 1, 2.25 ltr:limca 1, sprite 1. And many more shop we visited these are as follows: Shri Bikaner bhujia,Deepak traders,karan dairy,Krishna std,mahesh paan,lakhani and many more shop we visited but they didnt gave orders which are as follows:chotu motu,ramlalji ka bassa,mohit std,nishant neeraj,anand std,evergreen,sangam juice,prem restaurant etc. These shops were situated near K.E.M road and Mr. Sushil swami covers this area.

DAY 3
Once again i worked with Mr. Pawan Kaser and we move to Gajner Road. Today i worked with them but in different style. I ask problems of retailers related to coca cola.And i wrote all of them. These are as follows: 1) Supply of goods is not provided in proper times. 2) No one work on complain and shopkeepers are also not having mob no. of customer care or complain office. 3) Supplier is not providing information of schemes to the retailers. 4) Retailers want refrigerator because they have stock but not fridge for cooling them so it impact on fulfil the want of customer. 5) Retailers want sigh board of coca cola.

DAY 4
Today i went to GATE meeting as usual and meet with all the members. It was a normal day but it was surprising when i know that Mr. Rajeev who is manager came here to meet with us. We all are waiting for them around 20 minutes. Then they came and shaking hand with all of them. Then we take tea and Mr. Rajeev talk to us and asking questions from all M.D (Market developer). They ask from tham, that what is reason behind low target set by the m.d. Mr.Rajeev suggest many ideas by which we increase the sales of our product.They suggest people to set a shop every day,the reason behind is that when sometimes when they get low order from shops then the extra shop in which provides our product is fulfil the need.And they also talk to me that what are you doing now days. I told them that i visited many places with the M.D and check it out the problems which the retailers faced in their shop while working with our products.M.r Rajeev told us to make a fixed format of Questionnaire by which we can eaily work on our project. Then i moved with M.r Lalit who is also M.D (Market developer) to the Pugal Road area and meet with many retailers and ask them the major questions related to the Coco cola product and they gave answers which are as follows: Somewhere fridge is not working properly. People prefer 600ml.1.25 ltr and 2.25 ltr cold drinks People purchases maza and thums up more.

DAY 5
Today morning i wake up so early because i have to go before 15 mins. Fast as compare to another days because today we have have to meet with M.r pramod who is ASM (area sales manager).So i get ready within the time and to GATE meeting sharp on 8:20A.M.But i was surprised when i reached there and see that Mr. Pramod sir is already reached there. Then i came near to them and say hello sir they response hmmm... After some time when all people are gathered there then they told to everyone that work is not happing in proper manner and told everyone to raise their target by some numbers.then they told to us us that what are you doing here then i replied that Sir we are doing our summer internship project under coca cola company and we gathering information about the retailers problems.Then Mr. Pramod said we didnt need it we already know that you have to gathered information that what are the problems by which people change their mind set and moved their taste towards pepsi.okk.I replied Yes sir.then i moved for home to make a proper Questionnaire for the project.

DAY 6
The 6th day of internship in coke is quite good and this day i worked with my college friend. After the GATE meeting is finished we went to mukta prasad,swarnim basti and rampura basti areas where we visited around 20-25 shops of coca cola and their query related to coca cola products. There are many problems which they told us which are as follows: They want fridge Many retailers starts pepsi because coca cola supply is not proper They want scheme No replacement in leakages bottles.

DAY 7
Today is Sunday, the day which i used for rest and enjoy it for fun. But in real marketing world there is no word like HOLIDAY. So i wake up on sharp 6A.M and starts getting ready for meeting. I reached to GALE meeting on sharp 8:30a.m and it was good news for me that i was the 1st member who reached their 1st. Then i wait for everyone but no one comes. Then i think that today is holiday because no one is coming. Then one of the m.d is came to me and say hello replied good morning sir. Then i ask what happen no one is comes yet. They replied Mr. Pramod is messaged to everyone on yesterday night that the timing of meeting on Sunday is 9a.m. then slowly-slowly everyone comes and gathered. Then Mr. Pramod Suntha ask me that what are you done yesterday. Then i told the whole work which i done yesterday. Mr. Pramod told me that today you have to go to all shops where a retailer sells pepsi. Then i moved to sangalpura and vyas colony areas. Where i meet with retailers and ask many questions from them which are as follows: Q1: why are you using Pepsi products? Q2: Which product people prefer more? Q3: why you are not using Coca Cola products? Q4: What benefits they provide to you when you sell their products? Q5: Is people didnt demand for coca cola products? This is the work which i done on Sunday.
