Discussion Record Please provide an overview of what topics your group discussed as you planned your lesson. Our foremost topic of discussion we shared regarded what these nonNative English speaking students already knew, and how to develop a lesson that would facilitate growth upon that preexisting knowledge. I believe that verb tenses, a commonly misused category of English grammar, was a worthwhile decision that we made.

How did you decide what topics to discuss as you planned your lesson?

We decided what to discuss based on our past knowledge as students of foreign language classes. We all have at one point partaken in the study of a language that was not our native tongue, so we had a solid foundation on which to build our lesson because we had all been in such a position before. From there, we were able to find sources that reinforced the views that we derived from our past knowledge, which was another aspect of this assignment. We decided to use Google Docs.

What Web 2.0 tool(s) did you select?

Why did you select this tool?

We selected this tool because it provided us with a platform that allowed an interactive collaboration on documents when all members of the group were not in one place. Everyone could contribute, even when we were not physically accessible.

What was your experience with using this tool? Was it helpful or was it a hindrance? Explain. Would you use it again? Why or why not?

We believe that Google Docs was helpful, particularly for the reason to which I previously alluded. Group members are not always free to collaborate in person, so our selected tool allowed us to share our work with one another easily. It also allowed us to build upon the work that another member of the group had previously done. I would use Google Docs again in such situations because it adequately facilitates seamless and helpful project collaboration.

Insert a screen capture (or a link to) of anything you created with your selected Web 2.0 tool.

Below the table is a screenshot of the lesson plan on which we have been working. Although it does not yet include full polishing aspects in terms of its presentation, the required components are all present. We believe that this is a well-prepared and perfectly applicable lesson plan based on the given parameters. (The multiple images are merely because a single screenshot did not display the full table).
