Intra Asia – Improved service coverage
We are pleased to announce the introduction of a new weekly service, the Siam Java Express IA-3, linking
Thailand directly with Indonesia. The service will be provided by our trade specialist in the Intra Asia market
– MCC Transport (Mercantile Cargo Consolidators).

The IA-3 is an extension of MCC's existing service, the Indonesia Feeder service 3 (INA-3) which covered
Surabaya (Indonesia) - Tanjung Pelepas (Malaysia) – Singapore (Singapore).

On a bi-weekly basis two vessels on the IA-3 will cover the ports of Laem Chabang (Thailand) - Tanjung
Pelepas (Malaysia) – Singapore (Singapore) - Jakarta (Indonesia) – Surabaya (Indonesia) – Tanjung
Pelepas (Malaysia) – Singapore (Singapore) – Laem Chabang (Thailand).

The new IA-3 will offer:

z Amongst the fastest transit time from Laem Chabang to Jakarta and Surabaya
- Direct service from Laem Chabang to Surabaya : 7 days
- Direct service from Laem Chabang to Jakarta: 5 days
z Direct coverage between Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand
z Link to our extensive network to Asian ports via Tanjung Pelepas and Singapore

The first vessel on this new service will be the El Zorro, voyage 0908, expected to depart from Surabaya on
28 March, 2009.

The full rotation of IA-3 string along with the scheduled arrival/departure day is as per below route maps:

Asia Europe service – New port call in Felixstowe, United Kingdom

Effective May 2009, the Asia/Europe service AE1 will start calling Felixstowe before Rotterdam on its
westbound rotation. This will improve the transit time into Felixstowe while maintaining the Rotterdam
transit time. Moreover, by calling Felixstowe instead of Southampton we will consolidate the UK inland
haulage network to/from Felixstowe providing more efficient intermodal services.

Both the Le Havre and Southampton calls will be removed. Le Havre will be covered on another AE service
and alternative coverage is being planned for Southampton but only for limited merchant haulage volumes.
Details will be communicated as soon as these plans have been finalised.

New westbound rotation will be Kobe (Japan), Nagoya (Japan), Shimizu (Japan), Yokohama (Japan),
Nansha (China), Yantian (China), Tanjung Pelepas (Malaysia), Felixstowe (United Kingdom), Rotterdam
(The Netherlands), Hamburg (Germany), Bremerhaven (Germany), Salalah (Oman), Nansha (China), Da
Chan Bay (China), Ningbo (China), Shanghai (China), Kaohsiung (Taiwan).

First AE1 vessel westbound with new rotation is Sine Maersk 0906, with estimated departure on 5 May 2009

Egypt – Changes in Alexandria feeder service

Kindly note that with immediate effect the Alexandria feeder service will only have one weekly call to each
of the ports of Alexandria and Said East in Egypt, instead of two calls per week.

The service's new planned schedule is:

The operating vessel is Maersk Ahram and the first voyage with the new rotation is voyage 0947 departing
Alexandria on 20 March 2009.

Deadlines for export cargo loading from Alexandria are:

Shipping Instructions: Tuesday at 12:00 hrs
Gate Cut-off: Tuesday at 23:59 hrs

Italy - Bologna and Padova get closer to Far East

With effect from March 2009, Maersk Italia will open a brand new rail corridor to connect Far East and North
Italy. The new track will link Trieste with

z Bologna once a week and with the possibility to expand the frequency in a reasonable timeframe upon
need
z Padova five times a week

This will represent a cost effective, efficient and reliable solution to further enhance the range of services
offered to you for both imports and exports using our direct Adriatic product for Asia Europe, AE22 (Far East
Westbound and Eastbound).

Italy - New Shipping Instructions deadlines for Westmed

We would like to draw your attention to the Shipping Instruction deadlines for Westmed service (United
States Advanced Manifest rule) that have changed according to new schedules at Leghorn and Genoa ports
in Italy. The deadlines are as follows:

Leghorn, Italy
New estimated time of arrival on Thursday at 07:30
Shipping Instructions deadline: Monday at 16.00

Gioia Tauro, Italy

New estimated time of arrival on Saturday at 06:00
Shipping Instructions deadline Wednesday at 16.00

Georgia - Chilled reefer-freight prepaid acceptance
We would like to inform you that chilled reefer cargo with final discharge port in Poti, Georgia will be
accepted only on freight prepaid basis.

Venezuela - Military take over of Venezuelan ports

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez ordered the military to take over the country's ports and airports, a
move aimed at gaining control of installations run by opposition-ruled state governments.

Currently the port is operating normally and until further notice there are no changes to our acceptance
policy. Acceptance remains open and only limited to the terminal capacity constraints.

Los Angeles – Increase in container X-ray examination charges

Effective 1 April 2009, APM Terminals Pier 400 is raising their charges for all container X-ray examinations:

- VACIS (shipside and standard) from USD 110 per container to USD 150 per container.
Also note that this does not include the USD 75 administration fee per bill of lading we add when containers
are selected for such an examination.

The Netherlands – Customer Service organisational change

Kindly note that the Customer Service Export department will have an organisational change. The current
Asia and Transatlantic vessel teams will be replaced by a ‘Vessel team’ and a "Documentation team’.

The Vessel team will be responsible for the booking from the moment a booking confirmation has been sent
to the customer. Main focus is to have the containers gated in and loaded on time.

The Documentation team is responsible for ensuring that documents are completed accurate and in time.

SURCHARGES
South East Asia - Australia Rate Restoration
As members of the South East Asia and South Asia / Australia Trade Facilitation Agreement (ALM), Maersk
Line will implement a rate increase of USD 200/400 per 20'/40' as per 15 April for all business between
South East Asia and South Asia to Australia. This rate increase is a reflection of the current unsustainable
rate levels that will not allow shipping lines to continue offering their current service portfolio.

South East Asia covers Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia and Myanmar,
whereas South Asia comprises India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh

Intra Asia - Rate Restoration across Intra-Asia corridors

MCC Transport and Maersk Line* will be implementing Rate Restoration across Intra-Asia corridors,
effective 1 April 2009, as follows:

Dry:
From South East Asia to South East Asia, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan USD 50/TEU
From South East Asia to Japan and Korea USD 75/TEU
From PRC, Hong Kong, Taiwan to South East Asia USD 75/TEU
From PRC, Hong Kong, Taiwan Japan and Korea USD 50/TEU
From Japan to South East Asia USD 50/TEU
From Japan to China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan USD 50/TEU

South East Asia includes Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and
Vietnam.

New Zealand - Import and Export Fuel Surcharge Updates

As per previous messages the Fuel Adjustment Factor (FAF) is now being reviewed on a quarterly basis.

In order to increase transparency of our transport cost structure these charges will now be charged
separately to your inland haulage rate on a cost neutral basis and will show as an additional line on your
invoice without affecting the overall cost.

Effective 1 May 2009 the Import and Export Fuel Surcharge (IFS and EFS) will be as follows:

Rail/rail combined IFS/EFS - 13.52%

Trucking IFS/EFS - 4.5%
