Intra Asia – Improved service coverage
We are pleased to announce the introduction of a new weekly service, the Siam Java Express IA-3, linking
Thailand directly with Indonesia. The service will be provided by our trade specialist in the Intra Asia market
– MCC Transport (Mercantile Cargo Consolidators).
The IA-3 is an extension of MCC's existing service, the Indonesia Feeder service 3 (INA-3) which covered
Surabaya (Indonesia) - Tanjung Pelepas (Malaysia) – Singapore (Singapore).
On a bi-weekly basis two vessels on the IA-3 will cover the ports of Laem Chabang (Thailand) - Tanjung
Pelepas (Malaysia) – Singapore (Singapore) - Jakarta (Indonesia) – Surabaya (Indonesia) – Tanjung
Pelepas (Malaysia) – Singapore (Singapore) – Laem Chabang (Thailand).
The first vessel on this new service will be the El Zorro, voyage 0908, expected to depart from Surabaya on
28 March, 2009.
The full rotation of IA-3 string along with the scheduled arrival/departure day is as per below route maps:

Both the Le Havre and Southampton calls will be removed. Le Havre will be covered on another AE service
and alternative coverage is being planned for Southampton but only for limited merchant haulage volumes.
Details will be communicated as soon as these plans have been finalised.
New westbound rotation will be Kobe (Japan), Nagoya (Japan), Shimizu (Japan), Yokohama (Japan),
Nansha (China), Yantian (China), Tanjung Pelepas (Malaysia), Felixstowe (United Kingdom), Rotterdam
(The Netherlands), Hamburg (Germany), Bremerhaven (Germany), Salalah (Oman), Nansha (China), Da
Chan Bay (China), Ningbo (China), Shanghai (China), Kaohsiung (Taiwan).
First AE1 vessel westbound with new rotation is Sine Maersk 0906, with estimated departure on 5 May 2009

from Yokohama.
The operating vessel is Maersk Ahram and the first voyage with the new rotation is voyage 0947 departing
Alexandria on 20 March 2009.

This will represent a cost effective, efficient and reliable solution to further enhance the range of services
offered to you for both imports and exports using our direct Adriatic product for Asia Europe, AE22 (Far East

Georgia - Chilled reefer-freight prepaid acceptance
We would like to inform you that chilled reefer cargo with final discharge port in Poti, Georgia will be
accepted only on freight prepaid basis.

Currently the port is operating normally and until further notice there are no changes to our acceptance
policy. Acceptance remains open and only limited to the terminal capacity constraints.

Also note that this does not include the USD 75 administration fee per bill of lading we add when containers
are selected for such an examination.
The Vessel team will be responsible for the booking from the moment a booking confirmation has been sent

SURCHARGES
South East Asia - Australia Rate Restoration
As members of the South East Asia and South Asia / Australia Trade Facilitation Agreement (ALM), Maersk
Line will implement a rate increase of USD 200/400 per 20'/40' as per 15 April for all business between
South East Asia and South Asia to Australia. This rate increase is a reflection of the current unsustainable
rate levels that will not allow shipping lines to continue offering their current service portfolio.
South East Asia covers Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia and Myanmar,
whereas South Asia comprises India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh

In order to increase transparency of our transport cost structure these charges will now be charged
separately to your inland haulage rate on a cost neutral basis and will show as an additional line on your
invoice without affecting the overall cost.
