Product Analyst Research and Design SVP, Analysis

I. Summary
The Product Analyst utilizes his or her business knowledge related to how financial institutions originate loans or service loans, especially those that are delinquent, to gather requirements for enhancements from the LOS or Collections Product Roadmap. This understanding of the loan origination process and/or loan servicing enables the Product Analyst to begin the process of translating business needs into system requirements. The Product Analyst works extensively with development team members to ensure the technical implementation of the enhancements fulfill the product vision defined by Product Management. Akcelerant employs its Product Analysts to become a specialist in either the LOS or Collections Product, and so generally the employee will predominantly focus on one of these two specialties.

II. Essential Duties & Responsibilities


Assist Product Management and design teams to guide agile team to appropriately scope and plan development projects by managing project definition and user requirement definition Manage feature definition and set appropriate guidelines for the user interface and functionality of the product. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis Distill information from differing stakeholder perspectives into a single, consistent message communicated to the Agile team. Identify and document business requirements and participate in design activities. Perform detailed product analysis and write functional design specifications. Create functional and wireframe prototypes, process flows, and screen mockups to illustrate requirements and scope. Tracks and documents changes to functional and business specifications. Serves as the conduit between the customer community and the development team through which requirements flow. Understand how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application requirements. Manage customer expectations; maintain relationships with customers in order to uphold Akcelerants customer centric values. Participate in development activities in order to ensure proper communication of requirements and accuracy of development.

Continually improve understanding of business needs from all stakeholder perspectives, including customers, 3rd party connectors, and host systems. Maintain product specific content in the Akcelerant internet and intranet site. Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously Other duties may be assigned.

V. Qualifications
Education A Bachelors Degree from a four-year university is required.

Experience 2 or more years experience working in a role associated with the Software Development Life Cycle is desired. Experience working with software applications that serve the financial industry is highly required. 2 or more years experience in lending and/or loan origination is preferred. 2 or more years experience in collections and recovery is preferred.
