Non-smoking Function Room Please be informed that under Malaysian Tobacco Act 97 the Government has included function room (dewan orang ramai) area as a non-smoking area and Eastin Penang's Banquet function rooms have been designated as non-smoking areas. Function Space The hotel reserves the right to release the function space for any other party should that party pay a deposit prior to the payment of your deposit. External Lighting Please be advised that any external lighting brought in for the function that has to use our hotel's 3 Phase Power Supply, a minimum charge of RM 300.00nett will be applicable. Rehearsal and Pre Set-up Kindly take note that minimal charges will be imposed should you require the function room with air-conditioning for pre set-up / rehearsal. Function rooms are subject to availability for pre set-up. Should you require us to block the space for you on a firm basis for rehearsal and pre set-up, a nominal rental charge would apply. Assistance of our technician during rehearsal is available from 7.00am 7.00pm. Should the services of our technician be required after 7.00pm, a minimal charge would be imposed. Extension Hours The organiser shall be responsible in ensuring that the function room is vacated by 12.00 midnight. Should your function extend past midnight, a room rental charge will be applicable.

Right of The Hotel To Assign Alternative Function Rooms Function rooms are assigned by the guaranteed minimum number of people anticipated. Additional room rental fees are applicable if group attendance drops below the minimum attendance at time of booking. The Hotel reserves the right to relocate group to a room conducive to the group size without notification, if the attendance reduces or increases. Last Minute Changes F&B arrangement at least 72 hours notice is required before the function date. Rates, Taxes And Commission All rates quoted are excluding of the prevailing taxes, non-commissionable and in Ringgit Malaysia. st ++ define as 6% Government Tax and 10% Service Charge. (Effective from 1 January 2011) Confirmation / Deposit Confirmation In order to secure the function space, we would require an initial deposit of 10% of the estimated charges with 7 days upon receiving our confirmation letter.
