STATE AWARDS

Directors Desk
Lets go shopping..
But please dont use plastic bags! Step into Life is proud to be contributing to the health of the environment by reducing the use of plastic bags. As outdoor group personal training specialists we are obviously are very aware of our surroundings whilst outdoors. During the month of June, I made a mental note every time I saw an item of plastic or a plastic bag blowing in the wind whilst outdoors and I was amazed that the total was 194 items. If we assume that this number is the same in all Step into Life Franchise suburbs then that is 19,400 items of plastic! The Step into Life Shopping bag is made from environmentally friendly materials and will hopefully reduce the amount of plastic bags used by Step into life clients all over Australia and it will give you a chance to show off that you shop with Step into Life.

NATIONAL AWARDS

Most improved Franchisee of AUS 2006 6 month Incentive Program Winner Jan to Jun 2007 (Photo left is Aaron with National Heads & Owners of S.I.L Mark & Larry) Presented Position: Mentor Coach to other Franchisees State Winner of 2006: VICTORIA Past Awards for Keysborough: Members won 2007 VIC Mini Olympics!

The new shopping bag is $2.50 per bag. I am aware that the big supermarket chains sell these bags for between $0.50 and a $1.00 but we just dont have the buying power to secure these bags at those prices. So, we are doing the best we can to help the environment in our own way.

Where were you born? Dandenong Hospital What is your current profession? Behind the scenes at Telstra (Roger Roger) What sports have you been involved with during your life / best achievement? Tennis, Golf, Basketball, Netball (Go SILKs!), Cycling, & Triathlon. Best achievement is being C grade club champion at Kingswood Golf Club (Just in front of scoring a goal for the SILKs last week). What is your favourite naughty treat when your instructors aren't looking? Mint Slices What primary & secondary schools did you attend? Dingley Primary, Keysborough Tech, Monash Uni at Churchill (DE), Swinburne TAFE at Prahran. What is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for you? That honour would have to go to my parents for giving birth to me 33 years ago. More recently, Michelle is often doing nice things for me, the latest of which was scuba diving lessons for my birthday. What is your goal for the next 6 months - exercise or other? To get back into training after my winter slumber. I have the Around the Bay in a Day (210 kms) in October and the triathlons start again in November. This year I would like to complete a full length one. To get back into training with Donda, Boogsie and Jo Jo and be happy in the knowledge that 22:47 is still beyond them

Merchandise
Nothing like a bit of retail therapy!

Interests and Hobbies? Watching the football (Go Bombers!) and the basketball (Melbourne Tigers). Playing tennis a couple of times a week. I have just recently become an accredited scuba diver so I am keen to continue with that when the weather gets warmer. What results have you seen since you started with Step into Life? Since starting I have lost approx 15 10 kgs (damn that winter slumber) and many centimetres. I have a much better all round fitness now that has certainly helped my tennis game. I have completed several fun runs including a 15.2 km run with Donna. I also completed 3 fun triathlons last summer which I had wanted to do for nearly a decade.

SUSPENSION / MISSED CLASSES

Funny thing . . . if you want to enjoy the fitness benefits of the program, you actually have to BE AT THE CLASS. We know there are sometimes unavoidable time conflicts, but we would much prefer you to make up a class than to miss a session entirely. Missed classes need to be made up within the same calendar month, or you will find yourself charged for the extra session. Please call your Trainer if you plan to attend a session other than the one for which you are booked. If you are going away, and require Suspension, please complete a Suspension form, or inform your Trainer in writing at least 24 hours prior to the Suspension period.
