Mission Statement

ANCA’s mission is to train Christian leaders for the 21st century by developing students holistically, that is, spiritual-
ly, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically as Jesus Christ developed (Lu 2:52). ANCA especially empha-
sizes providing a curriculum and staff who implement this goal so we can raise up faithful disciples for Christ.

We seek to address and correct current weakness of Korean public schools due to unstable and antiquated educational
policies. By providing a Christian curriculum and teachers, students will experience the true meaning and purpose of
education, which is for the glory of God and the true humanity of the child. This involves inculcating a Scriptural phi-
losophy and practice of education in every field of learning, so as

1. To develop a vital relationship with God that will enable the child to establish proper relationships with others.

2. To meet the current demands of the church and society worldwide, we educate in English so as to give the child a
world vision and cross cultural skills.

3. To discover and develop the unique talents and interests of each child so that the education is tailored to the
child’s particular needs and abilities.

4. To ultimately equip and motivate students to live for the glory of God and the extension of His kingdom world-
wide.

In order to maintain a high quality Christian education, ANCA focuses on developing excellent curricula and teach-
ers. All our teachers are native speakers of English. All parents and their children should agree with ANCA’s goals.

Mission and Teaching Philosophy

Mission Statement: “Know Him and make Him known”

In preschool our overarching goal is for the Super Kids to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. We believe
that education is multifaceted. There are various teaching methods to match a variety of learning styles. But in this,
the foundation of learning is rooted in Christ. Another goal is to prepare children to enter a first grade American En-
glish program. Academics are imperative, yes, however feeding a child’s spirit first is vital because the spirit is the
most important entity of a child. The spirit of a person will live forever. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 4:18 to
“consider and look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are
temporal, but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting.” Christian education is the foundation of our
preschool curriculum because all forms of knowledge and academics are based on a biblical groundwork.

International School

"Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." Proverbs 22:6

The International School provides elementary school children a viable alternative to the public school. Children
of Korean Christians, pastors, and missionaries study together in a multilingual Christian environment so as to learn
how to overcome the challenges of today’s world, strive for excellence in all areas of life, and transform so-
ciety as disciples of Christ (Colossians 2:6-10; 1 Chronicles 12:32). Currently Bob Jones University’s Christian school
materials are the main curriculum resources.

Purposes
1. Missionaries especially struggle with the education of their children because Korea lacks sufficient
schools for missionaries’ and pastors’ children. ANCA meets this critical need.
2. Many Christian parents prefer that their children attend an international Christian school so they can
learn English and the Christian worldview.

Curriculum
We have two programs.

1. The Rapid English Acquisition program prepares students to study in the English medium (Not yet functioning).

2. The Kindergarten and Elementary programs are regular English day schools. We use American Christian
school curriculum and tailor the instruction to meet each student’s educational needs. Daily Bible classes are required
for all students.

Leadership School

Teaching children to see the world through the eyes and heart of Christ.

Meeting Monday through Friday from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m., this after school Christian program in English is for
elementary age students. Students are tested and assigned to four classes according to their English ability.
Each class studies Language Arts, Bible, Science, and Art Education. The teachers are well-trained Ameri-
can speakers of English.
