Twenty Years at the Hull-House with Auto-biographical Notes. New York: Macmillan, 1920. Print. This book was written by Jane Addams herself and gives the reader a clear and exact understanding of what the Hull House was really like. We learn how and why it was built, and also Addamss intention when she first started it. This source was very helpful in getting accurate information on the Hull House and provided us with an in-depth explanation of the settlement house. Gordon, Lynn. It gave us information on the Women and how they went through and dealed with the Movement. Kelley, Nicholas. "Early Days at Hull House." JSTOR. The University of Chicago Press, Web. 06 Feb. 2014. This source was written by an old resident who had stayed there as a child with his mother and siblings. He gave a firsthand account of life at the Hull House when it was first up and running. The man seemed to love the house so much and to really enjoy his childhood there. He also talked extravagantly about the education and other opportunities the Hull House offered him. Moore, Dorothea. "A Day at Hull House." JSTOR. The University of Chicago Press, Web. 06 Feb. 2014. This source explained what rooms, buildings, and other places the Hull House had control over. It gave a full schedule of a normal day at the house and what kind of classes there were offered. The sources also explained the mission of all settlement houses and what the Hull House did to stay true to that mission.

This website gives a small article on a couple pages that go in detail on the main purpose of this settlement house and what drove Jane Addams to build it. From one of these magazine was a short article on the Hull House that provided us with information to back up the rest. This source was used as a quick source to get more information on the Child Labor Reforms join on at the time of the Hull House. In one of our primary sources the authors mother was a factory inspector who lived at the Hull House and was very involved in these reforms.

Web. 9 Feb. 2014. This source gives us a summary of the settlement house movement and who they were used and made for. It also explained they major purpose and used the Hull House as an example of a successful settlement house. There were examples of the classes and services provided for its residents. It also explained how it evolved overtime into the flourishing house we knew before the 1960s when the University of Illinois bought most of the building that surrounded the original house.
