JUDICIAL AFFIDAVIT OF ALVIN M. PATRIMONIO I, ALVIN M. PATRIMONIO, of legal age, married, and living at Unit 201, Mezza-11 Residences, Aurora Boulevard, Sta. Mesa, Manila, state under oath as follows: PRELIMINARY STATEMENT The person examining me is Atty. Faisal P. Cali, with office address at 310 Elizondo St., Quiapo, Manila. The examination is being held at the said address. I am answering his questions fully conscious that I do so under oath and may face criminal liability for false testimony and perjury.

PURPOSE: This affidavit/testimony of the witness, Alvin M. Patrimonio, is being offered to prove that accuse Carmina Sena is a service oriented writer and that the subject of her writings are exposes wrongful and illegal acts made by public and private citizens in the quest of informing the public as a matter of social or moral duty as a responsible journalist. 1. Q. Please state your name and other personal circumstances for the record. A. I am Alvin M. Patrimonio of legal age, married, presently residing at Unit 201, Mezza-11 Residences, Aurora Boulevard, Sta. Mesa, Manila. I am a journalist by profession and the current Editor in Chief of Pureza Standard. 2. Q. You say you are the Editor in Chief of Pureza Standard, as the Editor in Chief, what are your specific tasks in the Pureza Standards? A. Well, primary, I am the head of the office. I take responsibility for all the operations and policies as the editor-in-chief. I supervise the works of my staffs and journalists under our office in keeping with their tasks. 3. Q. Do you know the accused in this case? Ms. Carmina Sena? A. She is one of our columnists. 4. Q. As columnists, what were her contributions in your Newspaper? A. She has been our public service oriented writer. 5. Q. What kind of article does she usually write? A. She usually writes on matters which can be of use to the public. Like exposing scams in the government and in the private sector. Lately, she wrote on the so called Coco scam in

Mindanao and the one in Pagadian where she was one of the few to first write on the ponse scheme back in 2012. 6. For her contributions, was she ever recognized to manifest her works as a public service oriented journalist? A. Yes. The Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism awarded her efforts in the industry last 2012. I was with her during the awarding ceremony, as the Editor in Chief. To name more, just this 2013, the National Union of Journalist in the Philippines invited her during the November National convention, she was awarded as Newspaper Journalist together with broadcaster journalist Julius Babao of Bistado for their service oriented journalism.
