Kenting is a beach-resort area in Hengchun Peninsula.

During the months of summer (June to August), there is a lot of sunshine to bathe in Kentings popular Nanwan (South Bay). Have fun in water sport activities like swimming, windsurfing, jet-skiing, kayaking, banana-boating, snorkeling, coastal coral tracing etc. Land activities are birdwatching at Longluan Lake and hiking in Kenting Forest Recreation Area. Have a great splashing time at Jialeshuei. See or have fun with sea waves beating against the coastal rocks with water splash reaching a height about 4-storey high. There are 4 companies run the Kaohsiung-Kenting bus line from 5:00am to 11:00pm everyday. Please be notice that all companies have 2 routes to Kenting, take the one goes 88 expressway (bus No. 9188), its less stops and short time, the other one (bus No. 9117) goes by airport and has m ore stops.

From Kaohsiung Main Train Station to Kenting

In front of the Train Station are the city bus station and Jianguo 3rd Road, not the buses to Kenting. All the longdistance bus companies are in your left hand side when you get out of the Train or KMRT station.

The ticket price for Kaohsiung-Kenting 88 highway (bus No. 9188) is around TWD 350 per way, it usually ta kes 2 hours or more if it is holiday or in rush hour. Sometimes there are Taxi drivers stand in front of the station and ask people take their taxi to Kenting, if you have four or you dont mind to wait and take taxi together with other passengers, you may bargain the price per person, it is much faster (about 1.5 hours).

From Zuoying HSR Station to Kenting

All the buses are taken in front of the HSR Station, those buses to Kenting are also stop by Kaohsiung Main Station. You can buy the ticket on the bus. There is another Kenting Speedy Arrival Bus (bus No. 9189) from HSR Station to Kenting directly (do not stop Kaohsiung Main Station ). You may see the ticket counter in the 2nd floor main hall near the Exit 3 of HSR station. Kenting Speedy Arrival Bus ticket costs TWD 383 per way, only 8 stops and takes around 2 hours. From 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.

take High Speed Rail or a Regular Train to Kaohsiung 1. The journey by High Speed Rail train from Taipei to Kaohsiungs Zuoying Station takes approximately 1.5 2 hours; from Taichung, the journey takes around 1 hour. At Zuoying Station, you can transfer to a CN Bus or Kaohsiung-Pingtung Bus for the rest of the journey to Kenting.
