IBIP Test Script

This is the data transfer tool to transfer data into SAP system , where in most of the objects are supported to plant maintenance module . This tool is mainly supported to those objects , which are not supported by lsmw tool.

Tcode- IBIP . 1.Enter the transaction code IBIP in the command field in sap easy access screen. 2.In IBIP there is a tabstrip screen with M !E and "I#E M$%$&EME%T b'ttons. (."irst choose the M !E b'tton. ).In M !E screen* we can choose any of the ( methods to do the data transfer* with the help of radiob'ttons. )a.if we choose B!C +E++I %* we ha,e to fill the M !E-+E++I % rele,ant entries in the screen. )b.if we choose C$## T.$%+$CTI % * we ha,e to fill the M !E-C$## T.$%+$CTI % rele,ant entries in the screen.

*.Then choose the file mana"ement tabstrip button to enter the details of input file. +.choose any of the file formats 2a.if we choose text format file, the file will be read line by line. 2b.if we choose binary file, the file will be read character by character. ,.Then specify the source file location , where the flat file, is located. (a. if the file is in presentation ser,er specify the location * with the help of f) f'nction key . (b. if the file is in the application ser,er specify the ser,er name and path of file. #.-urther specify the location where the incorrect transactions has to be stored. (ote '. these are all the settin"s in SAP we ha/e to follow . %e/t step is to find o't for which ob0ect we are transferrin1 the data 2ere we are doin1 it for 3IE41 5 create e6'ipment * it comes in PM3plant maintenance7 mod'le7.

8e can find for which all ob0ects in IBIP* we can transfer data by searchin1 in se11 for str'ct'res startin1 with IBIP9.

Step III 2ere we ha,e chosen IBIPE:;I str'ct're to create a flat file which will be similar to that str'ct're. "lat file sho'ld be created in ms-e/cel first * then it has to be e/ported to te/t file.

*.(e0t step is to create the flat file . +.1o to SE** and enter IBIPE2)I in the table field. 3oo4 at the table. 5our te0t file should be in the same format as this table. It should be a tab delimited te0t file with the same number of characters for each tab as "i/en in the table. Also for class, the table name is IBIP&3AS.

5ou will ha/e to create a spreadsheet with the columns in the same se uence as the table and then e0port your e0cel file to a te0t file with macros.

*.we should "i/e the transaction code name in the first field of the flat file, and it should be in the capital letters. +. Second field of the flat file is recordin" name , which should be done in the S7$B transaction .That should also be specified in the capital letters.

*.-urther press the IBIP small window to e0port the file to the te0t file. 7ere u "et the flat ready to transfer into the SAP system.

*.-inally press the e0ecute button to process the flat file . *a.if we choose B$& SESSI8( method , then after e0ecutin" , we ha/e to press the edit folders push button to "o to the S!,9 transaction to further process the sessions to update the contents of the flat file into respecti/e:IE;*. &%EATE E2)IP!E(T< transactions , from there it will be sent to respecti/e Tables:database<. *b.if we choose &A33 T%A(SA&TI8( method , there is only sin"le step .$irectly it will call respecti/e transactions:IE;*. &%EATE E2)IP!E(T< transactions , from there it will be sent to Tables:database<. %ote-- To find o't the ob0ects s'pported by the IBIP tool* search for the str'ct'res IBIP9 in se11.
