Customer Certication Program

Customer Certication Program

For several years customers requested Automation College to provide a mechanism for verifying that students have successfully mastered the content of key courses. Based on over ten years experience with internal HPS employee certication, Automation College has introduced a certication program exclusively, and involving minimal cost, for HPS customers. The certication program is organized on three principles: 1. 2. 3. HPS Product lines: Experion PKS, Safety Manager, and Uniformance PHD Customer roles: Installation, Administration, Operation, and Maintenance Certication level: a. Associate (fundamental knowledge of the core product) b. Professional (advanced knowledge of the core product) c. Specialist (knowledge of products that are add-ons to or independent of core products)

Each certication requires the completion of any prerequisites, completion of a specied Automation College course, and successful completion of a proctored examination. Students normally register for the examination to be conducted at the completion of the associated course, but can register for the certication at any time. Registration allows candidates two attempts to pass an examination within a 30-day period. If not successful, candidates must wait at least 30 days, and re-register for thecertication.

Experion HS/LS

Experion HS/LS 75

Experion HS/LS
Experion LS offers the power and reliability of a distributed control system (DCS) in a small and exible solution. Because it requires less engineering effort to congure and is easier to maintain than a PLC or large DCS, the system can help plants save support costs per system. With out-of-the-box functionality and exibility, it reduces implementation cost and requires less ongoing maintenance than other systems optimized for very large operations or the smaller PLC-based systems. Experion HS is a powerful software platform that incorporates innovative applications for Human Machine Interface (HMI) applications and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA). Built upon the proven technologies of the Experion platform, it is an integrated and affordable solution for smaller unit operations. Honeywell offers training courses that include best practices to implement and optimize the Experion HS/LS system.

HC900
The Honeywell HC900 Hybrid Controller is an advanced loop and logic controller offering a modular design to satisfy the control and data management needs of a wide range of process equipment. When combined with the optional 900 Control Station operator Interface that is tightly integrated with the controllers database, conguration and setup time is minimized. This powerful combination, backed by Honeywells performance proven control technology, provides users an ideal solution for process control. In addition, open Ethernet connectivity with Modbus TCP Protocol allows network access using a variety of HMI/SCADA software. The HC900 Controller provides superior PID loop control and more robust analog processing than most logic controllers without compromising logic performance. A separate, fast scan cycle executes a rich assortment of logic and calculation function blocks. Logic blocks may also execute in the same scan with analog function blocks for time critical events. These function blocks may be fully integrated into a combined analog and logic control strategy for uncompromising control performance. Honeywell offers training courses that include best practices to expand and improve systemperformance.

TotalPlant Alcont is an open, distributed process control system based on a single, modular hardware and software family, providing scalability to address a wide range of requirements from the smallest applications to mill-wide systems. TotalPlant Alcont provides an easy interface with any process to ensure the process can be controlled in a secure manner from a single user interface. All necessary information to control the process can be accessed through a single monitor by opening several windows simultaneously to view different process areas and to run applications. TotalPlant Alcont also easily shares information with other plant systems and supports third-party applications. It includes a powerful graphic application design environment. Different Alcont generations can be easily integrated into Experion technology that is designed to control, measure, monitor, and integrate complex processes for industrial plants andmills. Honeywell offers training courses that include best practices to optimize and maximize production efciency for the TPA system.
