Highlighter HL-DL Long Run Modular LED Delineation System

HighlighterHL-DL is a long run modular LED lighting system designed for architectural delineation where long runs are necessary and it is undesirable, impractical or impossible to have numerous power feeds or power supplies. HighlighterHL-DL uses GVA Lightings proprietary power and control technology, INFINITY, which allows it be installed in exceptionally long runs. Up to 672 modules can be connected to one feed for a single run of up to 200m. The HighlighterHL-DL system consists of LED modules, an aluminum mounting profile, a diffuser tube and a Power-Data Box. The LED module is a fully sealed, IP66, 300mm (1ft) linear luminaire with 18 LEDs, consuming a maximum of 5W each. Each module is connected end-to-end and snapped into the aluminum mounting profile, which is securely fastened to the mounting surface. The impact resistant, UV stable acrylic diffuser tube installs over the modules to present an evenly illuminated, deeply saturated line of light with a surface brightness up to 4000cd/m2. The Power-Data Box supplies power and control data to the modules. All components can be field installed with simple tools allowing for easy customization at the job site. Typical HL-DL Diagram

MOUNTING PROFILE HIGHLIGHTER MODULES

System components: Mounting Profile, HighlighterModules, Diffuser, Diffuser Shim and Power-Data Boxes are combined to create the complete installation. Mounting profiles are securely fastened to a building or other structure, modules are snapped into the profile and diffusers are snapped onto the profile to create the illuminated delineation effect. Diffuser shims are used to secure the diffuser to the mounting profile in case of strong wind. Standard length for Mounting Profiles and Diffusers is 2400mm, while shorter lengths are used at the ends of runs to achieve specific lengths down to 300mm increments. 4800mm is the maximum possible length for single pieces. Highlighter Modules can be configured as 1200mm long strings of 4 permanently connected modules or as single 300mm long units. Pre-assembled strings increase system efficiency by reducing losses at connections and cut down installation time by reducing the number of connections made on-site. While single modules are used at the ends of runs to achieve specific lengths down to 300mm increments. 1 PG-HL-DL 02.04.13

Installation Accesories To complete your installation, accessories such as lead cables and jumper cables may be needed. Additional lengths of un-terminated cable may also be ordered for wiring between junction boxes. Maximum cable lengths specified in the system diagram (pg.2) must be observed. Only cable supplied by GVA Lighting, Inc. will be sufficient to maintain cULus safety certification.

HL-Connector Cap must be used on the output connector of the last module on each circuit in order to maintain safety requirements and IP rating.
