PISTON SEALS
D B PSQ: These piston seals provide bi-directional, low friction sealing with increased stability and superior leakage control. The square cut energizer provides low pressure sealing and eliminates backside leakage. This seal also effectively seals between different fluids on each side of the piston seal, making gas / liquid sealing combinations possible. Style PSQ Piston Seal

D B PSU: The PSU piston seal is a laminated one piece double acting seal made of cast polyurethane. The tough outer layer is highly resistant to abrasion and is impregnated with molybdenum disulfide to reduce friction. The softer inner layer acts as a static seal and also energizes the O.D. to make full contact with the bore. This seal may be used to replace O-Rings, O-Rings with back-ups, T Seals, U-Seals, etc. with the same dimensions. A WORD ABOUT CAST IRON PISTON RING GROOVE DIMENSION
When using cast iron piston rings, it is crucial to use the correct groove design for proper performance of the cylinder. Please use the following guidelines when cutting a cast iron piston ring groove. To permit the ring to slide freely into the groove, the groove must be at GROOVE WIDTH: least 0.001 wider than the maximum piston ring width with a tolerance of +0.003 / 0.000. GROOVE DEPTH: Grooves must be at least 0.015 deeper than the maximum radial wall thickness of the piston ring with a tolerance of +0.003 / -0.000. This is to avoid any possibility of the ring bottoming in the groove when the ring is compressed to its working diameter. RADIAL CLEARANCE: The radial clearance between the cylinder bore and piston should b e less then 1/3 of the radial wall thickness of the piston ring to ensure sealing effectiveness. O..D.

Flange Seals, Thread Seals, Face Seals

SFS Flange Seals: Flange seals are a one piece seal for 4-Bolt Flanges or Split Flanges, SFS seals are a one piece dual Durometer urethane static seal. The black outer part is a tough, extrusion resistant 95 Durometer and the yellow inner layer is 57 Durometer that has low compression set and excellent sealing properties. These seals are a direct replacement for O rings and do not require modification to any split flange groove.

SFS Rings Flange Seals

TS Style Thread Seal: TS thread seals are reusable, safe, reliable seals for threaded devices. Their design is unique and is the first and only seal recommended for sealing directly against threads. Thread seals require no special machining or style of bolt, screw or thread. They are self-centering, non-directional and are low in original cost; can provide considerable savings because they make possible the use of low cost standard fasteners and full threaded fitting. No special tools or skill is needed to assemble-simply push them on with a slight twisting motion, and tighten fastener. Sizes from #6 to 7/8

Style TS Thread Seal

SB Face Seal: SB face seals are one-piece molded in place with the rubber seal in element mechanically locked to the metal retainer. SB seals are designed to seal beneath the head of the fastener. As the fastener is tightened the rubber seal is compressed, forcing the sealing surface securely around the fastener shank-but without squeezing the rubber beyond its elastic limit, or destroying its inherent memory. With the SB seal, there is full metal to metal contact of facing surfaces. (Sizes from #6 to 1)

One major manufacturing difference is that while the SB series are chemically and mechanically bonded to the metal retainer, the 110 series is only chemically bonded.
