Tutorial 4.

UCS Manipulation
Learning Objectives
After completing this tutorial, you will be able to: Change the User Coordinate System (UCS) according to design needs. Use 3D coordinate entry for drawing objects. Create a 3D model given orthographic views of the object.

User Coordinate S stem

The three-dimensional coordinate system determines how 3D objects will appear when inserted into the drawing environment. In order to minimize the amount of secondary operations required to locate the objects in the modeling environment we will create a User Coordinate System !UCS". The #$% will allow the designer to manipulate the X-Y plane for &D drawing the '-a(is for e(trusions or objects with height or the orientation of the 3D coordinate a(es. There are many options in the #$% command for how to specifically change or modify the coordinate system. This tutorial will attempt to ta)e the student through several of the most useful operations for manipulating the #$%.
