Srinagar, Feb 27: Various separatist leaders and organizations have reiterated demand for impartial probe into the recent killing of seven unidentified persons by the armed forces in an encounter in Lolab, area of Kupwara district. The Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani, while demanding independent and impartial probe, reiterated his call for complete shutdown on February 28. I appeal people to stage peaceful demonstration after Friday prayers to condemn mysterious killing of seven youth, use of brutal force on common people who were demanding the bodies of the slain youth and press for the demand for an independent investigation into the incident, Geelani said in a statement today. Until the world community comes forward to play their role in Jammu and Kashmir, the massacres of common people and mysterious killing will continue to take place, Geelani added. Demanding impartial probe into the incident, the Hurriyat Conference (M) today appealed to theinternational human rights organizations and international community to intervene to stop the endless killing of innocent, unarmed civilians in Kashmiri by the armed forces. Meanwhile, the senior amalgam leaders including Zaffar Akbar Bhat, Javaid Ahmad Mir, Yasmeena Raja, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Ghulam Nabi War, Jaffar Kashmiri and Imtiyaz Reshi and dozens of activists staged a protest demonstration at Press Enclave. They were demanding impartial probe into the Lolab killings and revocation of AFSPA, PSA and Enemy Agent Ordinance. Speaking to media, Zaffar Akbar Bhat said, Special powers vested with the armed forces are the main cause of human rights violation in Kashmir. Till black laws are not revoked, suffering and bloodshed of Kashmiris will continue. Strongly condemning, what it said, the suspicious killing of seven persons in Dardpora, Lolab, area, the Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir (HCJK) alleged that the armed forces were killing innocents in fake encounters for the past 25 years in Kashmir. The amalgam demanded an impartial probe by any international investigating agency into all the fake and suspicious encounters since last two decades including Machhil, Pathribal and Dardpora. Since past 25 years, New Delhi has been shedding the blood of innocent Kashmiris and dubbing the slain persons as militants. The world body should take strict notice of such fake and suspicious encounters," a spokesman of the Hurriyat in a statement today said, appealing to the United Nations to fulfill its responsibilities by providing justice to the people of Kashmir. The chief patron Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo, while demanding an impartial probe, has asked the government to come out with complete of details of all the seven youth killed in Lolab. We cannot believe the army and police when they say that all those who were killed were foreigners. In Kashmir we have cases like Pathribal and Machil where innocents were labeled as militants and killed and when the actual details came to fore, they were identified as locals. Lolab incident can be another Machil fake encounter or the infamous Pathribal fake encounter. The way the security agencies are hiding the actual details, it is giving rise to suspicion, a spokesman of the Front, in a statement issued here today quoted Tramboo as having said.
