ho could possibly have the temerity to criticize drinking milk? Is nothing sacred? What could be more fundamentally OK than milk, right?

Well, human milk, yes, and for babies and young children. But it s becoming clear that drinking milk ! especially "asteurized homogenized co# s milk ! $ust isn t a good idea. On the other hand, some adventurous souls have tried mother s milk, thinking that this pristine fluid might be the veritable fountain of youth. %ohn &. 'ockefeller for one, so the story goes, is purported to have practically lived on mother s milk in his advanced years. ()he old buzzard still looked rather craggy and *ombie+like to me,- 'ockefeller lived to the age of ./. Whether his unusual milk regime had anything to do #ith his longevity is arguable. 0any people live to an advanced old age in good health #hile consuming almost no milk at all ! like my mother, #ho #ill be 122 in October. )hat milk is not the health food it s cracked up to be is really old ne#s. Dr. Be& .ie&gold gave us some #arnings as early as the 1.32s. 4e had first e5perimented #ith changes in diet and proved the connection bet#een food additives and + among other maladies + personality disorders. 6hemical food colorings and salicylate compounds (e.g. aspirin- #ere especially bad. (7o ,ool-$id, please, )his stuff is great for bizarre hair coloring, but don t drink it-. 0ilk #as also among the culprits in childhood maladies.

I think #e have all noticed ho# milk seems to make us phleg1-. I confess to having loved chocolate milk as a kid, but I remember the stuff being almost like thin glue. 8uck. 0y sinuses #ere al#ays congested and I #as sick all the time. 0any children as #ell as adults are very congested if they drink regular co#s milk. 9upposedly this is from a protein called *eta-C/-!, #hich can stimulate mucus glands in the digestive and respiratory tracts, and can affect the lungs as #ell. In my opinion, chronic sinus infections and congestion can also be helped by laying off co# s milk.

New Study: Increased Milk Intake Does NOT Protect Against Osteoporosis (But Does Promote O arian And Prostate !ancers"
You hear it all the time: drink milk to get enough calcium to protect yourself from osteoporsis! But where do cows get their calcium? From grass, of course, and they build these massively strong bones out of this herb, bones capable of supporting over a thousand pounds of animal

on the hoof! That s impressive!

"o, maybe #r! Feingold was onto something! $n fact, n umerous definitive studies provide the ans#er: 7o, milk does not protect against osteoporosis + + + i& (act, it 1a*e a cause. &espite the dairy industry+funded ads featuring famous people #earing milk moustaches and implying that milk #ill protect you from bone fractures, it s long been kno#n that countries #ith the highest rates of osteoporosis, such as the ;nited 9tates, <ngland, and 9#eden ++ consume the most milk. 6hina and %apan, #here people eat less animal protein and little or no dairy food ++ have lo# rates of osteoporosis. = recent study of more than >22,222 men and #omen turned up some interesting information: ?= lo# intake of calcium (less than 1 glass of milk daily- #as not associated #ith a significantly increased risk of any fracture, osteoporotic fracture or hip fracture. =lso, there #as no difference in risk ratio bet#een men and #omen... 7o significant relationship #as observed by age for lo# milk intake and hip fracture risk. ?9cant evidence supports nutrition guidelines focused specifically on increasing milk or other dairy product intake for promoting child and adolescent bone mineralization.?

0edical research has proven a relationship bet#een high animal protein (including milk- intake and hip fracture rates.
In plain language, protein from animal foods ++ including milk ++ causes osteoporosis. )he mechanism for this is no# #ell kno#n. In conclusion: 0ilk appears to do more harm than good.

4aving said all that, #he#,,, ! If you still #ant some milk occasionally,
try ra# milk. )his product is superior to "asteurized milk, and fermented and cultured milk products used in moderation are another good thing altogether. "eople #ho are lactose (milk sugar- intolerant do #ell #ith yogurt. =lso the protein in milk is better utilized after it is cultured, and the bacteria in yogurt culture ! acidophilus, *i(idus etc + are needed in the digestive tract to insure proper digestion and elimination. 4o#ever, ra# milk is pricey. Big dairy industries don t like the competition from small dairies. 'a# dairy farmers have to meet very strict health standards, #hile regular dairies don t have to be that

sanitary. &on t be afraid of ra# milk. 4ealth issues are an e5treme rarity. NOTE: If you have used an antibiotic lately and find that you can't go the way you should because the drugs have knocked out the good bacteria in your colon, load u on good yogurt for a while! "ou will be glad you did!

A Food Pyramid We Can Live With

The so-called food pyramid put together as a guideline by the US government is notorious for its pandering to food industries with a lot of money to lobby officials. In the past the

meat, cheap cereal and dairy industries ruled the pyramid. pparently !ichelle "bama came up with the new guidelines, which isn#t a pyramid any more, and it isn#t too bad . $owever there are a few misleading shortcomings in the chart. %or instance, &roteins in the lower right 'uadrant would suggest that the other three 'uadrants don#t supply you with proteins, which is not true. $mmm. The fact is, vegetables and fruits and beans and nuts and seeds , - provide a ma.ority of our protein needs and with healthier conse'uences to our bodies. The protein 'uadrant is almost as big as the vegetable 'uadrant. -ot good. This plate still implies that it#s "/ to sto+e up on animal proteins. Then, of course, there#s the glass of mil+ at the upper right, which is still another source of animal proteins and fats. (e don#t learn anything useful from this chart.

I wanted to familiarize people with the illustrious history of the so-called Natural Health Movement, the dedicated men and women who wanted to bring health knowledge to the people in a world dominated by essentially medieval and dangerous medical procedures. ithout e!aggeration, the famous Mayo "linic can#t hold a candle to the amount of true healing that has taken place in the health retreats, health spas and sanitoriums run by naturalists around the world. It is a crime that this history has been $uashed and slandered by the proponents of the world of drugs. %o get a copy, send &'( )which includes postage* check or money order to+ "arl ,. -osco ..". , /.0 -o!
