INTRODUCTION
Throughout the centuries, money has been measured in everything from grain to livestock to Manhattan real estate. It manifests itself in paper currency and gold, silver and copper coins, and whatever people perceive as valuable, rare or simply desirable. Most people spend a majority of their time thinking about money, making it, and wishing for more. Money is king in modern society, the driving force behind major decisions. It is that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow that motivates people toward good and bad. It both unites and divides. It is human nature to accumulate resources for security, status, power, confidence, and self-indulgence. A healthy balance of spending, saving and investing, however, is the ideal - easy for some, difficult for others. Personal attitudes toward money are influenced by everything from family to earning power to self-esteem. Many discover that financial resources can grow in conjunction with increased self-understanding and self-assurance. It is here that astrology can be invaluable. Your birth chart reveals your financial attitudes, money strengths and weaknesses, and sources of potential wealth. Used wisely, your birth chart can be an asset - a map - for your lifetime financial strategy. As you read this interpretation, be honest with yourself and open to learning more about you, your money, and your resources. Don't be surprised to discover that much of the information in this report is already familiar to you, even if only by intuition. Astrology often confirms what you already know, making the truth unavoidable. Recognize and accept both positive and negative truths to maximize your potential. The more you know about yourself and your money motivations and habits, the better you can funnel your energy toward financial goals. What astrology cannot do, however, is make your decisions. Combine astrology with knowledge, common sense and an awareness of current world and personal conditions. Think of astrology as just another layer of information, but one used for self-empowerment.

Your Money Mindset: Sun, Moon, Ascendant and Midheaven

Your birth chart reflects your individuality - every component of the person you are. Each of the ten planets and the zodiacal signs they were in when you were born is a key to your uniqueness - your personality, likes and dislikes, interests, talents, strengths and challenges. As a whole, your birth chart is a map that, when combined with your free will, reveals your path and opportunities to excel, stumble, learn and grow in all facets of life, including financial matters. Although every planet influences and shapes your personality, your fundamental nature is expressed through your natal (birth) Sun, Moon, Ascendant, and Midheaven. The Sun and Moon are two of the ten planets. (Astrologers call the Sun and Moon "planets" to keep things simple.) The Ascendant is a sensitive point that's calculated using your birth date, time and place. The Sun

Your Sun sign represents the essence of your personality, including your attitudes about money. It offers clues to whether you're a free spender, a saver, a risk-taker, generous or thrifty, as well as the way you approach money-making endeavors. For example, Aquarius supports humanitarian causes, and Taurus has a natural inclination to accumulate assets. Sun in Cancer: Frugal to the max, you're a saver who takes only calculated risks, which gives you the sense of security you need. Many Cancers collect things, as well as money, that in time net handsome returns. Your home is a major investment, and you can increase net worth through real estate. But take care not to price yourself out of the market. Sun in 12th house: Although you can be unrealistic about money, financial hunches can pay off handsomely. First test your intuition on the small stuff; then gradually build confidence. Also create a "secret" stash of cash; just knowing it's there is a confidence builder. Set a budget for charitable donations and stick to it. The Moon

The Moon rules emotions and security. Do you spend or save to feel good? Are you a pushover? Do you frequently pick up the tab for friends and family? Are you comfortable with debt, or only when debt-free? Moon in Libra: You can profit from personal and business partnerships if financial decisions are mutual, or at least a workable compromise that's in both your interests. Keep this in mind when you're tempted to spend on your mate. It's not the best idea, despite what your heartfelt emotions tell you. Money is no substitute for love.

Moon in 3rd house: You sense what others are thinking and often are the first one to pick up the undertones. Put that talent to use in negotiating loans, interest rates, and payments. That's profitable, unlike your tendency to daydream about wealth. Action yields more gains, as do factually, unemotionally based decisions. The Ascendant

Your Ascendant reveals how you channel the energy of the Sun and Moon (and the other planets) into the world at large. For example, if your Sun is in outgoing Leo and your Ascendant in reserved Virgo, you're less likely to go into debt for a luxury item. If your Moon is in Capricorn, you might save a set amount every month until you can pay cash for a major purchase. If your Moon is in Libra, you might buy the item on credit, but only after negotiating a lower price or interest rate. Leo Ascendant: Give yourself a weekly allowance to curb impulse spending. Even though you enjoy the ego boost that comes from paying full price, it's unnecessary. Be kind to your budget. Shop sales for quality goods at discount prices. You can be lucky in speculation, so take an occasional chance on the lottery. Make conservative investments. The Midheaven

The Midheaven is the highest point in the birth chart and the most visible one. Besides being a career indicator, it offers insight into your perception of status. What do you want to be recognized for? Do you see material assets as a measure of success, or do you want to be known for your skills and talents, or your charitable contributions to your community? Midheaven in Taurus: You view wealth as the most accurate measurement of success. Achieve it by choosing a stable career field, possibly in the financial arena. Be careful, though, about going into debt to promote a winning image. Delight instead in building security as you accumulate a large portfolio many would envy.

Universal Money Planets

Three of the ten planets - Venus, Mars and Pluto - are specifically associated with money. Their sign, house position and aspects to other planets reveal added information about your financial attitudes, spending habits, and earning power, as well as the chance for a windfall or inheritance, and your approach to debt. Venus in Gemini: Do yourself a favor: get organized. Establish a budget, update it regularly, and put bills in one location. Your biggest lesson, though, is to learn the value of a penny. They add up fast if you cut incidental spending in half and save the difference. Hesitate the next time a cup of designer coffee or the latest fad attracts you and your 3

money. Venus in 11th house: Friends, networking, and goal-setting are your paths to financial success. Get acquainted with the right people, because who you know is an asset that glitters like gold and attracts the real thing to your bank account. You also could profit from an investment club. Join one or start one with like-minded people. Mars in Libra: Your earning power is linked to other people. Cooperative efforts yield higher gains, and a personal or business partner can increase your net worth. But resist the urge to debate every decision. Listen to other viewpoints and compromise. Remember, joint resources are just that. Avoid the "my money-our money" syndrome. Mars in 2nd house: Asset accumulation is high on your life to-do list, and you have the incentive and luck to pull it off. Work toward a high income and an investment portfolio to match. Weigh the risk-reward ratio carefully, though, and don't put joint resources in jeopardy. Financial gain through inheritance is possible. Pluto in Libra: Although you enjoy spending and surrounding yourself with the finer things in life, it's important to strive for financial security. Build assets with your partner, make joint decisions, save and invest for the future and retirement. Pluto in 3rd house:

Your strength is financial management, planning, and decision-making. Remember, though, to look at the big picture as well as the details. An inheritance from a relative is possible, but conflict could accompany it.

Money Houses
Two of the 12 houses - the second and eighth - are the primary money houses. They reveal your lifelong financial attitudes, as well as your current and future money trends. If a Universal Money Planet is in a Money House, the interpretation of this influence will appear in both this section and the previous section of this report. The repetition reflects a particularly strong influence on your handling of money.

Your Resources

Simply put, the second house represents your assets, everything from income to earning potential to investments to your bank balance. It also indicates your spending and saving patterns, attitudes toward possessions and debt, loan payments, sources of income and the potential to attract money and whatever else you desire. Virgo on 2nd house cusp:

Your spending habits vary, and you can be extravagant at times. Overall, though, you live within your means, keep close track of money, and care for your possessions. Try to stay one step ahead of the job market because security is linked to steady employment with excellent benefits, including a retirement plan. Mars in the 2nd house:

Asset accumulation is high on your life to-do list, and you have the incentive and luck to pull it off. Work toward a high income and an investment portfolio to match. Weigh the risk-reward ratio carefully, though, and don't put joint resources in jeopardy. Financial gain through inheritance is possible. Saturn in Virgo:

Widen your scope to view budgeting as a whole instead of just the line items. It can help you spot additional ways to cut expenses and build net worth through saving and investing. Remember also that many small purchases add up fast. Track your spending, dollar by dollar, and eliminate or cut back on nonessentials. Saturn in the 2nd house:

Financial discipline complements your conservative, thrifty attitude. You also learn money management through downturns. Although income rises as your life advances, the sooner you start saving and investing, the better. Begin your path to wealth by paying yourself first. Save and invest 10 percent of every paycheck.

Other People's Resources

The eighth house represents other people's money. This includes your partner's income and assets, as well as the lender that finances your mortgage and companies that extend credit to you - debt holders. The eighth house also rules inheritance, taxes, bankruptcy and insurance, and is associated with the planets Mars and Pluto. Pisces on 8th house cusp:

Be cautious about whom you trust in money matters. Read and ask questions before you sign, and don't give in to every plea for money. Take an active role in managing joint finances. Doing so helps maintain a balanced budget as well as a positive net worth. Use credit wisely and analyze the true cost of borrowing before assuming debt.

You have no planets in the Eighth House. This means that your relationship to other people's resources largely depends on other factors in your birth chart.

Other Financial Considerations

Mercury in Cancer:

Money is on your mind more often than not, and you do well with budgeting and bargain-hunting. Objectivity is a must, however, because you at times make emotionally based decisions and can be overly cautious. Learn from the past, but focus on the future and increasing your net worth through savings and investments. Mercury in the 12th house:

You're private, even secretive, about money matters. That's okay as long as you don't shut out those who can guide you in the right direction in budgeting, investing, earnings, saving, and spending habits. Welcome their advice and profit from it to fund your deepest desires. Jupiter in Virgo:

With your strong work ethic, you see earned income as a primary source of earnings. Go beyond that. Put your money to work for you in savings and investments, where your ability to see the details and the big picture is an asset. Then share a percentage of your gains with a good cause that helps others help themselves.

Jupiter in the 1st house:

Your secret to financial success is simple: make your own luck. That's almost as easy to do as it sounds. Seek opportunities and follow through on them with your high-spirited optimism. Don't spend until the cash is in hand, however, and then only as much as your budget allows. Learn to be thrifty. Uranus in Scorpio:

Be conservative in money matters. Doing so increases the odds that you'll achieve wealth and minimizes the chance for significant losses. Make this cautious approach a firm policy in spending and investing, and protect yourself with insured savings. Then watch your net worth grow, month by month, year by year. Uranus in the 4th house:

Income and assets fluctuate, in part because of risks taken to fulfill your goal of financial independence. But you also have a strong need for financial security. Get the best of both worlds by reworking spending habits and saving a large percentage of each paycheck. Detailed budgeting also adds stability. Neptune in Sagittarius:

Luck is on your side, but your free-spirited financial attitude can undo it in flash. Take classes to learn money-management techniques and the how-to's of investing and financial planning. Then put them into action on a daily, monthly, and annual basis to fund job-related education, travel, and a secure future. Neptune in the 5th house:

Be cautious in speculation. What appears to be a sure win probably isn't. Use this planetary energy instead to bring out your creative side, not in financial planning but in turning a hobby or another leisure-time interest into gold. Don't, however, invest in it without qualified professional advice.
