GSM BASED MOTOR THEFT CONTROL SYSTEM Abstract: Embedded system is a specialized computer system that is part of a larger

system or machine. Typically, an embedded system is housed on a single microcontroller board with the programs stored in ROM. Virtually all appliances that have a digital interface -- watches, microwaves, VCRs, cars -- utilize embedded systems. GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) is an open, digital cellular technology used for transmitting mobile voice and data services. GSM differs from first generation wireless systems in that it uses digital technology and time division multiple access transmission methods. GSM is a circuit-switched system that divides each 200 kHz channel into eight 25 kHz timeslots. GSM supports data transfer speeds of up to 9.6 kbit/s, allowing the transmission of basic data services such as SMS (Short Message Service). Another major benefit is its international roaming capability, allowing users to access the same services when traveling abroad as at home. This gives consumers seamless and same number connectivity in more than 210 countries. GSM satellite roaming has also extended service access to areas where terrestrial coverage is not available. Project Description: Our project MOTOR theft indication system will consist of IR based MOTOR, when the MOTOR is used to home appliances the corresponding information is stored in the GSM via microcontroller, in the system data of corresponding MOTOR is maintained and updated at the same time it will be message to the corresponding person.. The goal of this project is to identify the theft of the MOTOR and track the same with the help of an embedded controller connected with the GPS module which continuously communicates with the controller. The controller is also connected with the GSM modem through which the controller sends the SMS alert in case of theft. The project has an option of theft detection. If any intruder try to enter forcibly by theft the MOTOR the MC can able to sense the intrusion with the help of IR sensor connected to the MOTOR, after detecting, the MC will send warning SMS back to the user.

GPS satellites circle the earth twice a day in a very precise orbit and transmit signal information to earth. GPS receivers take this information and use triangulation to calculate the user's exact location. Essentially, the GPS receiver compares the time a signal was transmitted by a satellite with the time it was received. The time difference tells the GPS receiver how far away the satellite is.

The goal of this project is to identify the theft of the MOTOR and track the same with the help of an embedded controller connected with the GPS module which continuously communicates with the controller. The controller is also connected with the GSM modem through which the controller sends the SMS alert in case of theft.

GSM BASED MOTOR THEFT CONTROL BY SMS Abstract: The aim of the project is to control switch appliances using cell phone. The microcontroller is used to control the appliances, the communication between MC and cell phone is carried out using GSM modem. A GSM modem is a device which operates as a cell phone with only SMS technology when a SIM card is inserted to it, thus it is used as a communicating device to other cell phones using SMS services. The GSM modem comes along with RS232 port, which is used by microcontroller to read the data present in the SIM card such as SMS and then process it to control corresponding equipment connected to the MC. The device to be controlled such as switch, light, fan, motor etc. is connected to the MC through relay, which when energized or deenergized turns ON or OFF respectively, the devices connected to it. After receiving a command the MC process it and then reply back to the user, confirming that the corresponding device is turned ON or OFF. Each device will be allotted to a number following by a particular word such as DEV. In order to turn ON/OFF the corresponding number should be text messaged to the number connected to the GSM modem. For e.g. in order to turn ON device 1, the SMS that should be forwarded will look like DEV 1 ON. The project has an option of theft detection. If any intruder try to enter forcibly by theft the MOTOR the MC can able to sense the intrusion with the help of IR sensor connected to the MOTOR, after detecting, the MC will send warning SMS back to the user.

What is "GSM"? GSM is a TDMA based wireless network technology developed in Europe that is used throughout most of the world. GSM phones make use of a SIM card to identify the user's account. The use of the SIM card allows GSM network users to quickly move their phone number from one GSM phone to another by simply moving the SIM card. Currently GSM networks operate on the 850MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz, and 1900MHz frequency bands. Devices that support all four bands are called quad-band, with those that support 3 or 2 bands called tri-band and dualband, respectively. In the United States, Cingular operates on the 850 and 1900MHz bands, while T-Mobile operates only on the 1900MHz band. Also known as: "Global System for Mobile Communications", "Groupe Special Mobile" ABSTRACT: Antitheft security system utilizes an embedded system design with Dual Tone Multi Frequency (DTMF) and a GSM to monitor and safeguard a car. It secures the car against theft. Upon activation, it automatically demobilizes the car by disconnecting the ignition key supply from the car battery. This now makes it impossible for anybody so starts the car, let alone moving with it. In an attempt of theft through the car doors or boot, the system sends text message to the car owner and at the same time starts up an alarm. ABSTRACT: GSM Based Control System CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION1GSM Based Control System 1.0 Introduction to ProjectGSM based Control System implements the emerging applications of the GSM technology. Using GSM networks, a control system has been proposed that will act as an embedded system which can monitor and control appliances and other devices locally using built-in input and output peripherals.Remotely the system allows the user to effectively monitor and control

the house/office appliances and equipments via the mobile phone set by sending commands in the form of SMS messages and receiving the appliances status. The main concept behind the project is receiving the sent SMS and processing it further as required to perform several operations. The type of the operation to be performed depends on the nature of the SMS sent. The principle in which the project is based is fairly simple. First, the sent SMS is stored and polled from the receiver mobile station and then the required control signal is generated and sent to the owner. ABSTRACT: Some wise scientist once said that control system is a system where we can shut down the machine whenever we want. Thats the difference between controlled and uncontrolled machine. Our project is about make this control system efficient and dynamic. As the name suggested the automatic control is for controlling the motor from remote place, look over its operating conditions, get feedback from the motor itself. Our target is to control the motor from distant place by mobile DTMF tone and also get feedback. ABSTRACT: BASED HOME SECURITY RFID GSM BASED TOLL TAXRFID BASED SYSTEM BANKINGINTRODUCTIONGSM and GPRS based Designs have developed another innovative and Public utility product for mass communication. The project is aimed at developing the security of Home against Intruders, Gas Leak and Fire. In any of the above three cases any one met while you are out of your home than the device sends SMS to the emergency no provided to it. The report consists of a background into the area of 8051 microcontroller and mobile communication, how they are interfaced to each other and AT (Attention) commands set used in communication. continuously watching the security issues of your house, if any mishap condition from above three is occur it will sense and send a message to your mobile. ABSTRACT: PASSWORD BASED ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES CONTROL SYSTEM USING 89C51 MICRCONTROLLERABSTRACT Security is prime concern in our day-to-day life. Every one wants to be as much as secure as to be possible. An access control systems forms a vital link in a security chain. The micro controller based digital lock presented here is an access control system that allows only authorized persons to access a restricted area. This system is best suitable for corporate offices, ATMs and home security. The system comprises a small electronic unit with a numeric keypad, which is fixed out side the entry door to control a solenoid-operated lock with the help of a stepper motor. When an authorized person enters predetermined user ID and password via the keypad, the stepper motor is operated for a limited time to unlatch the solenoidoperated lock so the door can be open. At the end of preset delay, the stepper motor is operated in reverse direction and the door gets locked again. When the code has been incorrectly entered three times.
