Important Safety Precautions 1 2 The JPW-7320 unit is powered by either VAC or VDC. Only personnel who have received 3 relevant training from Juni are authorised to open any part or section of the JPW-7320. To 4 prevent electrical shock when installing or maintaining the equipment, ENSURE THE 5 SUPPLY OF POWER IS REMOVED by unplugging the power connectors before accessing 6 any section of the equipment. 7 8 Place a protective cap/cover to prevent accidental exposure and eliminate dirt particles 9 contaminating the connection ports. 10 11 Wet locations and conditions will increase the risk of electrical shock when installing or using 12 electrical powered equipment. To prevent electrical shock, never install or use electrical 13 equipment in wet locations or during lightning storms. 14 15 Static electricity means no risk of personal injury but it can severly damage and corrupt 16 essential circuitry within the equipment, if not handled carefully. Always use ESD 17 protective devices when handling the equipment. 18 19 Always observe the warning labels and markings present on the equipment. If unsure, contact 20 Juni Korea on +82 70 8611 5300 for advice. 21 22 23

5 Functions and Features 1 2 5.1 Introduction 3 4 The JPW-7320 supports various functions and features to enhance its performance including (but not limited to) 5 the following: 6 Web Management 7 Low Power Consumption 8 MIMO Operation 9 Automatic provisioning, configuration and alarm management 10 Automatic optimisation and interference management 11 GPS or optional aGPS 12 13 5.2 Web Management 14 15 The Web Management tool allows the user to connect a PC to the system allowing full control of the unit. 16 The user is required to be on the same network as the JPW-7320, and all required is a web browser with the 17 correct authentication details. 18 19 Once logged in, the Web Management tool enables simple yet comprehensive control of all JPW-7320 20 functions and parameters in a user-friendly GUI. 21 22 For detailed information on the Web Management operation, see secition 4.2 Web Management Operation. 23 24 5.3 Low Power Consumption 25 26 Using the latest technology and power saving innovation, the JPW-7320 uses less than 80W of power under full 27 load. 28 With this extremely low power consumption, coupled with easy installation, the JPW-7320 is ideal for solar cell 29 installations. 30 31 5.4 MIMO Operation 32 33 Using multiple antennas with MIMO (multiple-input and multiple-output) operation improves performance by 34 increasing its spectral efficiency and link diversity, leading to increased data throughput and link range. 35 The JPW-7320 operates on 2 x MIMO using two antennas to transmit WiMAX signals. Each output is capable of 36 1.5W (32dBm) of power more if antenna gain is considered. 37 38 5.5 Automatic Provisioning through JS-100 39 40 Through a connection to JS-100(ACS server), automatic provisioning is provided. Automatic provisioning is by 41 CWMP technology based on TR-069 and provides Remote Firmware Update, Alarm Management & Logging 42 Statistics, and Automatic Configuration of PHY/MAC parameters. For more details, see the JS-100 Manual. 43

1 5.6 Automatic Optimisation 2 3 Through a connection with JS-200(SON Server), automatic optimization is provided. Automatic Optimization 4 provides Radio Parameter Optimization for Interference Mitigation, Ranging, HO, QoS and Load Balancing 5 Parameters and adaptation when other basestation added and etc.. For more details, see the JS-200 manual. 6 7 5.7 GPS or optional aGPS 8 9 GPS operation uses radio signals from satellites. In very poor signal conditions, for example in a city, these 10 signals may suffer multipath where signals bounce confusingly off buildings, or be weakened by passing 11 through walls or tree cover. When first turned on in these conditions, some non-assisted GPS devices may not 12 be able to work out a position due to the fragmentary signal, rendering them unable to function until a clear 13 signal can be received continuously for up to 40 seconds (the time needed to download the GPS ephemeris). 14 15 An Assisted GPS system can address these problems by using data available from a network. 16 Assistance falls into two categories: 17 18 1. Using information known to the assistance server but not the GPS receiver 19 o It can supply orbital data or almanac for the GPS satellites to the GPS receiver, enabling the 20 GPS receiver to lock to the satellites more rapidly in some cases. 21 o The network can provide precise time. 22 o The device captures a snapshot of the GPS signal, with approximate time, for the server to later 23 process into a position. 24 o Accurate, surveyed coordinates for the cell site towers allow better knowledge of local 25 ionospheric conditions and other conditions affecting the GPS signal than the GPS receiver 26 alone, enabling more precise calculation of position. (See also Wide Area Augmentation 27 System and CellHunter.) 28 2. Calculation of position by the server using information from the GPS receiver 29 o The assistance server has a good satellite signal, and plentiful computation power, so it can 30 compare fragmentary signals relayed to it by GPS receivers, with the satellite signal it receives 31 directly, and then inform the GPS receiver or emergency services of the GPS receiver's 32 position. 33 34 35
