Recognitions and Presentations 1. Spotlight on Education - Santa Rosa Technology Magnet School Students and staff from Santa Rosa Technology Magnet School will share activities at their school with the Board of Trustees.

Action Items (1) 1. Approval of Single School Plans for Student Achievement for Los Primeros School of Sciences and Arts and Santa Rosa Technology Magnet School for the 2013-2014 school year (D) (V) The Superintendent recommends approval of the School Single School Plans for Student Achievement for Los Primeros School of Sciences and Arts and Santa Rosa Technology Magnet School. The Single School Plan for Student Achievement is one of the many tools California School Districts are using to measure and track their academic achievement and accomplishments. It is hoped these plans will create a cycle of continuous improvement of student performance and to ensure that all students succeed in reaching academic standards set by the State Board of Education.

Public Comments Board Reports, Correspondence, and Communications Superintendent's Report/Items/Policies Business & Financial Services, Reports/Items/Policies 1. First Reading of Revision of Administrative Regulation (AR) 3542: School Bus Drivers (D) The Superintendent recommends the Board review the First Reading of Administrative Regulations (AR) 3542: School Bus Drivers. The District Administration recommends revisions based on changes in federal or state regulations or changes in circumstances. The District maintains a contract with the California School Boards Association (CSBA) for policy service which includes recommended language that reflects changes in state and/or federal law. District staff review any proposed changes for applicability and appropriateness and for conformity with Pleasant Valley School District philosophy and practice.

Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment, Reports/Items/Policies 1. Pleasant Valley School District Summer Camp 2014 (D) The Board will hear information on the Pleasant Valley School District's 2014 Summer Camp program. The camp will be held at La Mariposa School and begins on June 16 and will end on August 22. This is a full day camp, the hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
2. Pleasant Valley School District Academic Summer School and Youth Arts Academy - Summer 2014 (D) The Board will hear information on the plans for an Academic Summer School and the Youth Arts Academy in the summer of 2014. The Youth Arts Academy begins on June 19 and ends on July 16, 2014.

Action Items (2) 1. Appointment of District Auditor (D) (V) The Superintendent recommends approval of a three-year contract with Vicenti, Lloyd, Stutzman LLP to be the District's audit firm for the fiscal years 2013-14, 2014-15, and 2015-2016.
2. 2013-14 Second Interim Financial Report (D) (V) The Superintendent recommends the Board approve the 2013-14 Second Interim Budget Report as presented. The District is filing a positive certification indicating that the District can meet its financial obligations for this year and the subsequent two years.
3. Adoption of Resolution No. 14-02 Proclaiming May 12-16, 2014 as Staff Appreciation Week (D) (V) The Superintendent recommends adoption of Resolution 14-02, proclaiming May 12-16, 2014 as Staff Appreciation Week. This is a time to extend sincere appreciation to the certificated and classified employees for their many contributions to the education of our students and urge individual school to schedule appropriate activities that celebrate and emphasize the contributions of all staff.
4. CSBA 2014 Delegate Assembly Election (D) (V) The Superintendent recommends the Board of Trustees vote for candidates for the 2014 CSBA Delegate Assembly. The candidates will serve a two year term. 5. Safe School Plans
(D) (V)
Each school year, every school is required, by law, to have a Safe School Plan in place and revised by March 2nd. These plans have been approved by each school's School Site Council and reviewed by the District's School Resource Officer. The Plans are only one part of each school's comprehensive school safety plan following SB 395.

3. Warrants for Ratification: Recent Listings (V) (C) The Superintendent recommends the Board approve the Warrants for Ratification: Recent Listings as presented.
4. Acknowledgment and Acceptance of Donations (V) (C) Accept donations as listed and direct that a letter of appreciation be forwarded to each donor.
5. Approval of Budget Revisions and Transfers Since Last Board Meeting (V) (C) The Superintendent recommends the Board approve Budget Revisions and Transfers as presented.
6. Human Resource Report (V) (C) The Superintendent recommends the Personnel Report be adopted as presented. 7. Approval of Minutes, Special Board Meeting-Local Control Funding Formula Webinar, August 2, 2013 (V) (C) The Superintendent recommends the approval of the August 2, 2013 Special Board Meeting-Local Control Funding Formula Webinar.
