Abstract
A new type of THz dual-wavelength filter based on compound square lattice photonic crystal was proposed in this paper, by which
the function of THz dual-wavelength frequency selection can be realized through using the line defect as wave guide and a point
defect as a micro cavity, of which the band gap property and the transmission characteristics have been investigated by using the
plane wave method (PWM), and the finite difference time domain method (FDTD), respectively. The results showed that by filling
nonlinear medium GaAs in point defect and increasing the size of the certain dielectric cylinder, the filter can achieve high
coupling efficiency filtering of single channel and double frequency in this thesis, and holds advantages of lower insertion loss,
bigger channel isolation and faster time response.
